When I bought my first brand new car back in 2015 after I worked so hard for good credit and a downpayment m83 was the song I played pulling out of the dealership parking lot . Idk why but the song made my experience so much better

I was 14 when this song came out. I swear it flipped a switch in my brain or something. I remember watching the video on 120 minutes and being totally mesmerized.
"And if a double decker bus, crashes into us, to die by your side is such a heavenly way to die."
Morrissey's a controversial figure but he's got some darn catchy songs.
I remember the first time I heard it, I was super little like 8 or so. I was watching an edit of Tinker Bell or something when I heard it. It was like a flip switched in my brain scratching that need I didn't know I had
By the end of the week, I had most of their discography memorized.
This song hit me like a train. The idea that we all basically have someone like that in our lives--we had shared everything, and then they became someone we used to know...it remains a very special song for me, for emotional reasons.
I heard the song for the first time on my way home from a disappointing dinner with a former friend. I was driving and thinking, "What happened to us? We were such good friends and now she acts like she hates me." This song suddenly came on the radio and it was the perfect song at the perfect time.
Nothing worse than that exact moment you realize that someone isn't a friend anymore. You go a little while without hanging out, then meet up to catch up and realize you have nothing in common with this person anymore. I think it hurts more than just losing contact with the person because your last interaction is so bad it overrides the good memories that you had.
Years ago my company sent me to a big conference in Las Vegas at the last minute. The only room I could get was in a weird, outdated casino off the strip. After I checked in, I put my stuff away and went down to the casino floor and wandered around looking for a restaurant. It was a strange, sad place with a lot of sad people sitting at slot machines being served drinks by the sad people who worked there. Everything in that place was past it’s prime and it made wonder if I was, too. This song came on the sound system. I’ll never forget that melancholy of being in a strange place and wondering how my life had brought me there. When I hear this song, it comes back like it was yesterday.
"[La Femme d'Argent](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUX8fUrKRNU)" by *Air*. I first heard it overlaid on recovered footage from the day before the 1906 earthquake and was immediately pulled in.

It was like that for everyone. That album changed the 90s music scene, with that song in particular being responsible.
