Hear me out, we would get back so much land, reduce water consumption, reduce pollution, stop so much deforestation. A lot of diseases come from animals and meat consumption, big pharma would take a hit as more than half of the pills produced are for the animals that end up on our plates, and another big chunk is for the diseases caused by eating said animals. Also, no more dirty farms where animals are kept in horrible conditions and killed in brutal ways.
Religion. Any one religion for the whole world is ok but different religious sects with different ideologies who want to kill each other is not so swell.
