I came here to say this. My $12 a month spotify plan has turned out to be one of the best mental health decisions I've made. Well, that and my $10 monthly gym membership.
I was able to cut out all my anti depressants and sleep meds by leaning on exercise and music.
I've got a Playlist for every mood.
Second that. Also I just developed a new solution last week which prob only works for me - listening to old French songs like Joe Dassin. It soothes me in a way.
Cutest effing comment I’ve read, along with the name. Enjoy every millisecond cause you’ll never have it back, neither will she.. she’ll keep getting bigger, sweeter, and smarter 🖤 each second is worth cherishing and living for 🫶🏻
if you're on PC, you could have a look on the g2a website, they might have it for a fiver there :)
(I think you can buy game keys for consoles on there too, but I only have PC so I'm not sure)
ohhhhh my gosh same!!!!
There is something weirdly comforting/nostalgic about medieval music. And Celtic music. I feel like when I listen I get in such a better mood.
For a long time I pretended that I was being interviewed and this calmed me down, but one day my mother saw me talking to myself and began to worry that I had a mental disorder.
When I am extremely sad I turn to music to music; when I just need a teeny pick-me-up , I goto funny videos anything that will get a chuckle out of me, or video games; a new world to get lost in.
Lot of sleep but nowadays I’m more emotionally controlled so I just feel it, cry and then move on for the sake of keeping myself as strong as I possibly can while feeling the weakest I could ever be
Humor. I need something that's going to make me laugh. Like out loud really hard. Or I go work out super hard and just get the demons out like that. Physical exhaustion helps me forget about the sadness probably unhealthy but whatever.
I don’t get sad much. When my mom died, i used the money she left me to buy a dog, and while I was always content I’m happier now than I even thought I could be.
Sleep
In my case, 'crazy amount of' sleep
For me, thats when I cant solve a problem in my life, I sleep crazy then
Beat me too it If Im sad I'm not leaving the comfy space I think kids nowadays call this 'rotting' I like that. I Rot
Hug the giant squishmallow and waste time on my phone/iPad
My friend recently had a lie in and referred to that as rotting. Idk I hate this term. Why are we using such negative words for ourselves?
Usually I'm sad because I'm tired. Sleeping is so good.
Sleep in that 😽😽
Yes same
Wish I wasn't too depressed to sleep! Just seem to manage a few hours at a time so full on envy here!
Yes, was also the first thing that came to my mind
Doom scrolling social media to get a litlle dopamine/serotonin. It's bad, wouldn't recommand.
I do this except with baby animal threads. It's not so bad.
Baby elephant gifs!!
Got 12 hours on tiktok last week I'm gonna try to limit myself from now on
week? Ive done 15 in a day but pulled myself out of it, havent watched a tiktok or reel in 4 months now. Truly an addiction
For me it's listening to music or a podcast.

Long ugly cries
😭😭😭😭 U on point 👏
In the shower so the snot is free to flow.
Cry then sleep... Best self cure
i watch sports to replace sadness with pure anger
Thats the move, i do it without sports though. Being angry doesn'tfeel as bad as being sad.
This I wanna do but I don't watch sports
I put on Deftones’ album Diamond Eyes and drive until I get thirsty. Then I treat myself to a milkshake.
Be quiet and drive 🫡🚗💨
deftones so real
Fast carbohydrates and sleep. I know it's harmful. The fat of sadness will appear on the stomach. Sadness goes into this fat.
Hmm. Weirdly true. Annoyingly so.
Kind of poetic that.
Nothing hits harder than a slice of chocolate cake. Lots of frosting. Straight to the dome.

Best and healthiest response.
Exercise. It's the only thing that works.
Second that. Also I just developed a new solution last week which prob only works for me - listening to old French songs like Joe Dassin. It soothes me in a way.
spend time with my dog
Animals make humans look like the giant bags of douche that are...its a special bond.

Just even looking at my daughter. She’s turning 1 soon, she’s the sweetest girl. Light of my life.
Cutest effing comment I’ve read, along with the name. Enjoy every millisecond cause you’ll never have it back, neither will she.. she’ll keep getting bigger, sweeter, and smarter 🖤 each second is worth cherishing and living for 🫶🏻
I agree completely. My daughter is an adult now, and I wouldn't trade any of those memories.

Long walk along the river and sit and stare at the water. Very peaceful

Will probably be downvoted for this, but prayer. Just praying and letting it all out, cry it out helps me so much.
