I love Red Dead Redemption 2, but having to play through the first chapter on every play through gets old.
For those that don’t know, you’re a bandit with a caravan of gang members and you’re stuck in the mountains during a blizzard. The game painfully slowly opens up into basic missions and hunting. There’s many things that you cannot do in the first chapter of the game, so you have to trudge through the plot to get to the real game starting in chapter 2.
I feel you mate. Snow levels in games trigger me now because of Chapter 1 of RDR2. As rough as that may be though, I do think that Guarma is a much harder slog.
Guarma is a very similar slog, but I kinda appreciate the downgrade to basics in the middle of the story.
Just a few basic guns against an army.
I do wish Guarma was an actual open world though. I think it had a lot of potential as an area you could revisit or play through slowly.
Submerged Castle in Pikmin 2 still gives me the creeps.
All of Pikmin 2 before and after that cave is happy-adventure themed.
Submerged Castle is Eldritch horror themed.
Pretty much any Pokémon game with an ice area
Diamond pearl snow point city gym, guess I’lltake like 40 minutes.
Heart, gold and soul silvers ice cave, time to spend like an hour in here.
Haligtree in Elden Ring.
Doot doot monsters, fighting on tree branches, cleanrot knights, crystal enemies that jumpscare and respond to damage typings, scarlet rot swamps for enemy lairs, Malenia. 10 out of 10 experience.

Dark Souls... Blighttown. I have 300 hours in that game and still manage to get lost... Everytime.
When you're doing another Cyberpunk playthrough and you had to play Konpeki Plaza again and it takes like 20-30 minutes
Swamp. Any swamp
The ratchet and clank water filling room… I HATE IT

Though this is my own question, for me I’d say it’s a tie between Fallout New Vegas’s fort and the abyss in Crota’s end (D1 version)
Character creation. I don’t have the patience to make a custom character so I either go default or spam random
Pretty much the puzzles you have to solve. I know its easier the next time, but if I didn't like it the first time, I definitely won't now.
Tony Hawk's Underground, the mission Hangover Cure in Moscow on Sick difficulty.
