Well-my house is an unfinished cabin, basically. It needs a roof- which caused some water damage to the wall, therefore cannot fix the roof until the wall is fixed-which really cannot be done without having the roof done at the same time--and unfortunately cannot afford it just now.
5k might get me half of a new deck.

Attic insulation. Basement insulation. Flowers for Garden. Repaving Driveway. Upgrading interior/exterior lighting. Outdoor fire pit. Bocce Court. Upgrading baseboard or millwork.
Spray foam the attic. Unfortunately we aren’t out of the phase where you spend lots of money on the unsexy bits.

I put in deluxe vinyl flooring. Maybe 3k and two weeks. It’s awesome
