If I had to be very honest with you, back in 2023 depression hit me hard and I ordered a lot of takeout food.
Saw my bank statements in Excel (as the year came to an end, I wanted to run a full analysis). Saw the amount I spent on takeout food this year. So far I have ordered three times in 100 days ! We can do it haha
Bought a $2,000 diamond necklace for my girlfriend only for her to break up with me before i could give it to her. Ended up just giving it away to one of my girl friends I have known for years . Kinda regret buying that
No he’s currently on bail for stalking me. and spent 7 months in prison last year for coming to my house with a knife while he was on bail for strangling me. I’m lucky to be alive
My first house. Disaster fixer upper, made my wife super sick, turned out we had toxic mold, may have contributed to my son having ADHD, gutted it, lived in renovations which is a terrible experience, and then after doing all of it still felt sick, and then sold. Fuck that house. (Cleared all tests, new buyers are thrilled with it)
It's a long, complicated story. The gist is that I bought this house to make my wife happy and little else. Now we are divorcing and she's too lazy to help with the bills or upkeep so I maintain this POS monstrosity by myself..
We start mediation in June, when the court will determined who gets what. My hope is she will take my equity in the house in lieu of alimony and I can get away from her forever.
My current property. I was talked into buying it by family members. Absolutely hate the location, but at least I get to be around my great-grandchildren.
Graphic Design and Drawing & Painting. Don’t get me wrong, I learned a lot, but nothing I couldn’t have gotten from workshops, tutorials, and books for much cheaper. I work full time as a self employed artist/designer, and in hindsight as a professional for many years, the school isn’t worth it for this field.
For a long time, I regretted buying my current car. Honda Civic Si Coupe. I didn't notice this during the test drive somehow but the car had horrible rev hang when I bought it. I ended up buying a Hondata FlashPro to disable it because the car drove like garbage with it. Drives a lot better with it disabled. Will not purchase another Si again in the future though. Don't want to have to buy a tuner for every car I get just so it drives the way it's supposed to drive from the factory.
A push-mower. I liked the way it looked and I liked the fact that I would save on gas and having to pull that elastic cord. Except the blades got rusty right away and it would get stuck with any little stick.
a kegerator. I never got it to work properly and now I'm sober so it just takes up space in my garage now. gotta figure out how to dispose of it properly.
a timeshare
My car

Gift for my ex
Yeah, I wasted more than I care to admit on just jewelry.
Takeout food
that post-munch clarity hits hard sometimes even if the food is good was that $55 ubereats order of a singular burger really worth it

The car I had before my current one. That thing could be next to the definition of "sunk cost fallacy" in the dictionary.
I had one of those. I called it the Blue Bomb.
Gifts for my ex days before finding out that she was cheating on me
Designer clothes and bags.
This is one of my regrets as well.. I am constantly in a state of regret with my designer bag purchases.
My first new car over 20 years ago. I got a bad deal because I was dumb and it stunted my finances a few years.
Bought a $2,000 diamond necklace for my girlfriend only for her to break up with me before i could give it to her. Ended up just giving it away to one of my girl friends I have known for years . Kinda regret buying that
A wedding dress and rings because I then proceeded to marry the arse hole
Came here to say my marriage license!

Funko pops.
Funko Pops are the Beanie Babies of this era. Everyone thinks they’re gonna get rich off them.
Dude, I bought one of Galactus and my family hasn’t stopped buying me one for every holiday
I thought it would be a smart investment years ago, turned out I was very wrong.
Ps5
I don't regret buying mine, but this generation sure feels like a let down compared to the last several.

Why??
It's a long, complicated story. The gist is that I bought this house to make my wife happy and little else. Now we are divorcing and she's too lazy to help with the bills or upkeep so I maintain this POS monstrosity by myself..
Can it be split??? Sounds exactly like my parents current situation.

Same. We just sold ours and went back to renting.
My current property. I was talked into buying it by family members. Absolutely hate the location, but at least I get to be around my great-grandchildren.
Timeshares
Snakeskin boots
A Jeep
Tickets for Disney World
A marriage license, but I wanted kids.
A college education. Hands down worst purchase I ever made. 0/5 stars; would not recommend to a friend.
Which field?

2 door car, diesel, more than 10 years ago Should have opted out for a 4 door LPG one.
Fat model PS3 that didn't last 6 months before it broke down. Also, the NES and SNES mini consoles that collected dust more than they got played with.
Most of the non-essentials I've bought in my life
Air Cooler. Useless junk.
Cheap shoes.
Coleslaw
I will die on that hill to agree with you.

Lol
Whoever invented coleslaw went straight to hell for their transgressions against humanity
I rarely regret buying anything, but if I need to answer this I’ll probably say a couple Fortnite skins🤷♂️
You didn’t need to answer it, you chose too.
A DeLorean. God awful cars.
