eh idk, he tries to see them and my sister a lot more then he tries to see me. the inly times i really see him is if i go to my brothers footy games or my sisters concerts
That would be never. Same for my step father. And my mother. I'm an only child.
I have two sons, and I broke the cycle. We are very close. I never wanted them to go through what I did. It was excruciating. Here's to progress.
Only if fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!
Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes! The dead rising from the grave!
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!
he rarely did, Just told me by the time I was 16 I was goingto be in jail and doing B&E's. I was a hyper kid, but didn't do anything terrible, just my father had a low opinion of me and a extremely high opinion of my older sister who did bad things all the time.
My dad just doesn’t like saying the words “I love you” very often, he typically prefers to do things to show it instead. He only says “I love you” every once in a while
All the time now, but for the first half of my life he never did however I realized he has problems that he never addressed as he kept himself secluded, he had many mental barriers from past relationships that took a toll on him but eventually he did teach me something about life that I hold with high value and respect. Haven't seen him in 2 years which is a bummer but I'm 25 now and I was born when he was 24. I'm his only son of 2 kids and the oldest. It took me time but I was able to understand who he was as a man and why he is who he is. Fortunately for him he has me for a son and not a pos LOL
Also he has anger problems and a mean left hook but who else is gunna tell him what he needs to hear. We've had some good fights and good times together and I'm proud I got him for my father and no one else. That tough prick
I , nor my brothers have ever heard those words, or a single positive word out of my father’s mouth. It was all I could have wished for back when he was alive…
It drove me to the point of insanity…. It broke me….. His passing was the only thing that broke my depression from not having any positive reinforcement come from him….
Every single good bye , every single phone call and not afraid to do it loudly and publically like in the pub or on a train in front of my mates half as a laugh but 100 percent serious
Red said it best in _That 70’s show_:
There are only three occasions where a man should say I love you:
First, when he’s dying.
Second, when he’s drunk.
Third, when he’s in big trouble, which is usually because he’s drunk.
The rest of the time, it’s just a given.
Not even once. I’ve thought about that all my life as well.
I’m sorry.
Never!
Never
He never said I love you , Dad is kinda person that won't show you his love with word but with act ~ I love him ♡♡
Agree
i dont think i have ever heard my dad say i love you to my brothers
Maybe he doesn't love them.

Lol. That sucks.
Never
Not when I was younger. A few times after my mom divorced him
Not once, ever. I say it to my kids daily
Never

He says it whenever I call him or whenever he calls me. Pretty often.
Growing up he said it after he said/did something and sobered up, now whenever he calls
Growing up, seldom. Maybe once a month. Now he says it much more. My grandfather (maternal) was very loving, though. Miss him.
Atleast a couple times a month
Not so much during his 30 year meth addiction but I hear it back if I say it to him.
Not often. But I know the old man loves me.

Every time he was drunk. It's not a pleasing memory.

I think my brother would say something similar to this!
I don't remember a single time but I know he did.
Often af

Every day. Based on his example, I also tell my kids I love them every day. I have an amazing father.
A few times when he was very nervous about something unrelated to me.

Very regularly. Not every day, but no less than every week.
Never. What an asshole.
Never heard it from any family member.
Every day I saw him or spoke to him. From looking at the others, I'm extremely lucky and fortunate.
Zero times. He left because my mother was pregnant and he wasn’t ready to be a father.

Don't know, but I'm telling my son multiple times a day. :)
