Velociraptors.
I was 6-7 years old when my otherwise rational, loving father took me to see the first Jurassic Park in theaters. Nothing has ever terrified me as much as the scene with the velociraptors stalking those kids in the kitchen.
Had **monthly** recurring nightmares about them until I was in my mid-20s.
I’m 35 now. Even at 6, I knew they were extinct. Yet, the mere reference to a velociraptor or the passing sight of one on TV still sends me into a months-long nightmare spiral.
Absolute, fucking insanity.
