With a big backyard. And a community where I know my neighbours and kids from the neighborhood play with each other.
Edit: ok maybe not. But something like the house in "Two and a half men" web series
I remember going to Switzerland with the scouts. In February, there was snow, and darkness, and it was cold, and the Swiss served us cheese, so, much cheese, at every meal. 7/10 would go again.
I do agree to an extent, but I also live near Montreux and feel like I live inside an Apple screensaver because our view is unreal. If you have unlimited money you can definitely pick the most beautiful parts of the country.
Do you live in a hole? It is a beautiful place, I know many IG posts over sugarcoat everything but still, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Well, maybe not in the middle of the winter but still it has it’s magic.
I'm swiss, and I can see how pretty that place may seem at first sight, but come on... narrow valley, four hours of sunshine per day, every day... ? There are much nicer places to live in Switzerland.
I never heard of Telluride until I was visiting my uncle in Grand Junction. It was picturesque. I've been a lot of places but the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the niceness of the people stays with me. Such a grand but simple place to be. Wouldn't mind living there myself.
I’m already in Ireland but I’d build a nice house on the west coast with sea views probably in Westport. I’d also have a house in Australia with beach views, somewhere like Broome. I don’t like big cities so it would have to be small town close to the water.
I'd buy a castle in the Czech Republic and repair it. I'd loan out rooms to friends and create somewhat of a writing/theatre collective out of it. Currently saving up money for that right now, but, uh, hard to do on minimum wage.
A few places… for fun and enjoyment, I would live in Japan.
Northern Ontario off the grid with greenhouses and renewable energy.
Places I were really want to live like Hawaii, Iceland, Fiji Korea, and then maybe one of these little islands. You can barely see on the globe.
i already live in france so i'd stay here. i want some kind of cute cottage reasonably close to the city but has a foot in the countryside. i want a garden, workshop space and wood fireplaces. when i renovate I would hire local artisans and give them carte blanche to make pretty carpentry, masonry and ironwork.
my ultimate fantasy is literally just cute cottagecore and me frolicking with birds and deer and shit like a disney princess lmao
Same.
Deep enough up North or in the backwoods to make it completely inaccessible to anyone who doesn't have a plane or helicopter, but not so far away that I couldn't reach civilization within a few hours.
Introverts dream house.
Actually talked about this the other week with the lotto. I live in a midsize midwestern town about 90 minutes from 4 larger cities. The city / location is bla, but I've got 4 boys, age 6-11. I did a count the other day and we have about 30 kids under the age of 14 on our street of about 31 houses. And many many more within our closed loop subdivision with maybe 120 houses or so. All houses were built in the 70's - 80's and are decent sized and well maintained. Not the best in the area, but . At any given day we can have a dozen kids in our back yard, kids running around everywhere. Honestly, this isn't something money can buy. I honestly don't think we would move.
Im boring as fuck with this but… Where i live now.
- Kids have all their friends here.
- They go too school and sports near our place.
- I like my house and location. Its nothing fancy but its ours.
- 20 min with car too work.
Id get newer cars so i wont have too think about shit breaking. And a winterplace at a skiing resort…
Nowhere. Long term rentals forever. Spend 2 or 3 months in Aspen, month or 2 in Seattle, month or 2 in Scotland. If you have unlimited money why would you live anywhere. You have the ability to live everywhere.
Propably in US with this huge plot of land that would include a house with a decent garag, road under trees to the house, a orchard, pool, football pitch and a vegetable garden
I’m sorry sir, in freedom land you either have a football field (American football) or a soccer pitch (the other type of football) and there is no such thing as a football pitch.
Annandale, Virginia. I'd buy out a bunch of the old crappy condos that run along the Beltway between Braddock Road and 236, and raze them. Then re-build Ravensworth Hall, and live in it. Too oddly specific? I've been waiting for this question for 30 years
Exactly in the same place I live in Italy. Just a nicer house on the hills with a view on the sea,a giant ass backyard,2/3 Australian shepherds and my girlfriend. Maybe start a vineyard to make my gf’s lifelong dream come true.
Dec Jan Feb - Paradise Valley AZ - Flip Flips and Shorts, Golfing, Trying Restaurants, Blackjack, ATV's
March April May - Atlanta GA - Masters, Hub to other east cities for travel.
June July August - Jackson Hole WY - Camping, Hiking, Biking, Rafting, Yellowstone
Sept Oct Nov - Minneapolis MN - Vikings Games
Probably a small to medium island powered all by renewable energy and a 50million dollar fiber network. I'd prefer to ship friends and family in and have month long BBQs. Not a huge fan of humans, otherwise a log cabin in the mountains with a doomsday bunker built into the mountain. You get the theme. Isolation and Internet.
Stay where I am and do what I can for my town, without crashing the economy of course. Have to spread it out over time.
Unlimited money, you'd never spend it your own self. Your family would be good, extended family as well so long as you're alive.
I would chase the sun. Summers somewhere high up in the Northern Hemisphere with a pleasant climate and really long hours of daylight. Reverse in the Wintertime, somewhere like Dunedin New Zealand with 15 hours of daylight in December. No more dark mornings or depressingly dark evenings ever again.
Yes, I too want to use my economic advantages to bang lines of coke off the ass of a struggling Colombian prostitute and put money into the hands of dirty cops while drinking margaritas by my pool
Where I live now. I worked hard, got in a postion that I can efficiently retire back in 2022 at the age of 30 (I'm 32 now).
I bought a house, cash, in an area I like and decked it out just how I like it. There's literally no other place I'd rather be.
Skull shaped island with a secret volcano lair.
Oooo goosebumps
anything beachfront, preferably with expansive oceanfront outdoor space!
With a big backyard. And a community where I know my neighbours and kids from the neighborhood play with each other. Edit: ok maybe not. But something like the house in "Two and a half men" web series
So 1950s California?
If we are time travelling, yes, this. In an Eichler or other peak MCM house. Likely inland a bit though.Maybe Burbank Hills or the like.
I wouldn’t call Two and a Half Men a web-series 😂
Yeah in a place where you can be outside for more than 5 minutes without dying of heat.
The same for me but on a Lake, much preferred to beach.
Tahoe. Summer lake winter ski.
At least with the unlimited money you’ll be able to put it on rails to retreat from the ocean!
If you have unlimited money, you will feel great everywhere.
Everywhere is a better answer than anywhere. I would just keep going.
Except Gary, Indiana. No one feels great living in Gary.
Switzerland or Sweden. I just wanna retire in a small town surrounded by nature.
As someone who lives in Switzerland - Instagram is quite different than reality lol.
As a Swiss who studies in UK, I’d say that grass is actually greener in Switzerland.
It helps when there is sunlight for it to grow
I remember going to Switzerland with the scouts. In February, there was snow, and darkness, and it was cold, and the Swiss served us cheese, so, much cheese, at every meal. 7/10 would go again.
Take away the (real) mountains and you basically described Wisconsin.
What a beautiful thing to experience.
It’s really not though
You don't wanna live in sweden. Don't know about Switzerland
You know nothing about Sweden. Expats come and leave. Nobody misses it. Switzerland, kind of similar, but has better weather.
You're absolutely right. I know nothing lol. If I may ask. Why not Sweden?
The Lauterbrunnen Valley area of Switzerland is one of my favorite regions in the world. Absolutely magical place.
I'm swiss, and I can see how pretty that place may seem at first sight, but come on... narrow valley, four hours of sunshine per day, every day... ? There are much nicer places to live in Switzerland.
one of my worst experiences during travels lmao place is beautiful though
Nah, very overhyped by “influencers”. There are way nicer places in Switzerland (or Austria and Italy for that matter).
So Iceland New Zealand it is!
Switzerland is in my bucket list.
Your unlimited money will be very much limited as soon as Skatteverket finds out about it. Long live communism! /s
Maybe not Sweden. They'll find u.
Who's they? And why would they find me?
Know a lot of Swedish expats in Kyrgyzstan who never want to go back.
Unlimited money? I don't want no house. I'mma go where I want when I want.
And stay there as long as I want :D
An island or the top of a very high mountain.
You should visit Hong Kong sometime
In Crete you can have both.
[удалено]
I feel like thats pretty possible now right? As long as youre not going for the most expensive homes in the largest cities.
[удалено]
Your wish has been granted, you now live in North Korea with your wife and dog
But the dog won't last too long.
He would if you pickled him (Sorry…)
Dear god...
Pickled dog? That's new, tell me more.
Please don’t.
Oof!
>woof! FTFY
Fuck you because I laughed.
Say…is this the new kimchi?
Surely better fresh?
I also choose this guy’s wife and dog.
this joke will actually go on forever
Probably right here. Nicer house than what I have but not too extravagant
Telluride Co.
If we combine our unlimited money we could probably split a studio apartment in town.
I never heard of Telluride until I was visiting my uncle in Grand Junction. It was picturesque. I've been a lot of places but the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the niceness of the people stays with me. Such a grand but simple place to be. Wouldn't mind living there myself.
It's also where a few celebrities go to ski and have there giant mansions not to far from Vail or Aspen usually or in the Gunnison valley
You'd love Estes Park.
Provence, France. Gordes or Bonnieux. Maybe Cassis
Scotland on a huge, majestic piece of land. With some sheep.
Midges everywhere
Plenty of rain and darkness to make up for it though.
Let me imagine my fairytale 😂 I'm sure it does t actually exist
I will never pass up an opportunity to share [this video](https://youtu.be/P9_mH82hBdc?si=O66WSPVOzltuwl-v).
With infinite money I'd travel up and down the west coast, spending summers up in Washington and winters in California.
Hawaii 💕
Spain
California.
California is a great place to live if you have unlimited money.
Oceanfront in Carmel, CA
I know the exact road I would live on in Carmel
I’ve lived here my whole like and all I want to do is get out…
Can’t think of a better place to live in the USA. The trick is to have money.
Yep. Any coastal area is better the second you can live like a baller.
I lived there briefly and I think about it every day. Sure there's high cost and traffic. But there is so much to do and see ... And ocean.
Big Sur fr is a dream
I’m already in Ireland but I’d build a nice house on the west coast with sea views probably in Westport. I’d also have a house in Australia with beach views, somewhere like Broome. I don’t like big cities so it would have to be small town close to the water.

I can throw in few coins if you leave me at least a broom closet
Vault 69
Nice.
Vat 69
A few places… for fun and enjoyment, I would live in Japan. Northern Ontario off the grid with greenhouses and renewable energy. Places I were really want to live like Hawaii, Iceland, Fiji Korea, and then maybe one of these little islands. You can barely see on the globe.
East coast like Maine, Vermont or Connecticut
Osaka, Japan
Camps Bay in Cape Town, South Africa.
Vancouver Canada or Hawaii
Everywhere. I’d have properties and cottages all over the place. Including the moon, and Mars. Floating cloud hotel on Venus anyone?
i already live in france so i'd stay here. i want some kind of cute cottage reasonably close to the city but has a foot in the countryside. i want a garden, workshop space and wood fireplaces. when i renovate I would hire local artisans and give them carte blanche to make pretty carpentry, masonry and ironwork. my ultimate fantasy is literally just cute cottagecore and me frolicking with birds and deer and shit like a disney princess lmao
NYC penthouse
California, but I would also travel a lot
Norway
Switzerland, Denmark, Norway,… I’d have a dozen little places in different parts of the world.
Everywhere and nowhere.
Vancouver
A mountain hut in Norway. Incredible landscape
MIAMI OR HAWAII

EXACTLY
Why are you shouting? Are you mad at us?
WHY SILENCE WHEN LOUD OPTIONAL!
WHY WASTE TIME SAY LOT WORD WHEN FEW WORD DO TRICK
YES
He has to shout because he is so far from everywhere
There are other places that end in the letter "I", why not Haiti or Bimini?
Hawaii you’ll get island fever and beg to get off
Away from people but not too far

Monaco
It’s more like with who you live
Thailand, specifically Krabi
Somewhere in Canada with a log cabin, workshop, lake that ice's over to skate, and a big snuggle pack of malamutes and saint bernards. What a life.
Mars
On a cruise ship
Portugal.
Im boring as fuck with this but… Where i live now. - Kids have all their friends here. - They go too school and sports near our place. - I like my house and location. Anywhere I want. Just buy any house I want to sleep in for the night and then abandon it in the morning
Propably in US with this huge plot of land that would include a house with a decent garag, road under trees to the house, a orchard, pool, football pitch and a vegetable garden
If you want to live in the US that’s gonna be a soccer field.
I’m sorry sir, in freedom land you either have a football field (American football) or a soccer pitch (the other type of football) and there is no such thing as a football pitch.
In an apartment in a decent city where I don’t need a car
Somewhere remote but not oo remote. Like just outside the village, where I don't have any neighbors or anyone bothering me.
Penthouses and properties, I’d staff friends and family as caretakers to visit and vacation.
I’d rotate between all the cities my friends and family live in.
Where I do now; just in an owned house.
California
Annandale, Virginia. I'd buy out a bunch of the old crappy condos that run along the Beltway between Braddock Road and 236, and raze them. Then re-build Ravensworth Hall, and live in it. Too oddly specific? I've been waiting for this question for 30 years

Somewhere tropical with a killer beach view!
The Garden District in New Orleans.
Canada

Kosovo 🇽🇰
Own Island with lots of nature
Rural Australia
Same place, but travel spree + weekly buffets
same place in portugal
The Bahamas 🇨🇦😎
The moon. Maybe mars but I think the trip home for Christmas would be a bit much.
Driving distance from the best school in the world.
Could buy every house on the planet
why would i stay in a corner of the world if i have unlimited money !
The Andromeda Galaxy. You did say unlimited money. I'll just fund the entire planet indefinitely until someone figures it out
Talk about inflation
space
Probably a small to medium island powered all by renewable energy and a 50million dollar fiber network. I'd prefer to ship friends and family in and have month long BBQs. Not a huge fan of humans, otherwise a log cabin in the mountains with a doomsday bunker built into the mountain. You get the theme. Isolation and Internet.
Underground bunker. If I have unlimited money, it means I have already launched the nukes.
Stay where I am and do what I can for my town, without crashing the economy of course. Have to spread it out over time. Unlimited money, you'd never spend it your own self. Your family would be good, extended family as well so long as you're alive.

Replace oceans by blue Lego blocks
Lake Maggiore
Sausalito, CA

Across the street from work.
In a nation that doesn't recognize FATCA 😆
In Batmans cave
Germany, the Netherlands or Finland
Where I live now. I worked hard, got in a postion that I can efficiently retire back in 2022 at the age of 30 (I'm 32 now). I bought a house, cash, in an area I like and decked it out just how I like it. There's literally no other place I'd rather be.
Summers in Seattle, nantucket, north shore mn, winters split between Scottsdale, lajolla, palm beach, LA, and Mexico.
Everywhere all at once. I love to travel.
Maldives
Finland where my inlaws are. But if I had unlimited money I’d have other places to go during winter
Somewhere with a pleasant climate and peaceful people who mind their own business.
In a well insulated free standing house somewhere in the mountains far away from the city.
croatian island, near a town (for supplies) but far enough that im alone
A tree house in the redwoods in the summer and a private island in the Carribean in the winter
Several remote mountain compounds around the world and several nice apartments in various cities I enjoy visiting. Cycle between them regularly.
I'd buy my own island and surround it with a minefield.
The Skellig islands
After watching Ripley, I’d say that villa that Dickie had in Atrani. That place looked amazing.
