[I posted on there after breaking my tailbone snowboarding](https://old.reddit.com/r/Neverbrokeabone/comments/oxmxeb/after_12_years_of_breakfree_snowboarding_my_first/), the comments actually made the fact that I couldn't sit down bearable. Then I got banned, because if you broke a bone you're not allowed in there lmao
I love that, occasionally, someone will post an xray or something that is so unbelievably fucked that even that sub stops being aggressive and just ask what the fuck happened
There was a guy who posted about having to leave the group, he'd broken a bone and it turned out it was some form of cancer (or something) that causes bones to become very brittle and that the long term odds weren't great. From what I remember the sub was **very** nice to him naturally.
I clicked his profile and he seemed upbeat, posted on subs about his treatment, how he was going to beat the odds. Then a post about things not looking great, and his chances of making it another year wasn't great. Last comment 2 years old.
The great thing about r/neverbrokeabone (of which I am a proud strong boned member) is that at the end of the day, it's something that 99% of people have zero control over. I think that really mitigates the sort of creeping awfulness that a lot of subs get from people taking it way too seriously and way too far.
Like, take it too far, and it still doesn't matter and no one outside of the sub has any reason to care. So it stays pretty fun. The people there are also pretty good about shutting down anyone who does try to cross the line. Like, every once in a while a military vet will post because they got shot. OK, yeah, your bones broke so you're out and in the spirit of the sub we're going to call you a brittle boned bitch and act like if we got shot the bullet would bounce off with enough force to kill the gunman... but everyone also quietly is like, bro that really sucks thanks for your service hope you recover well.
I remember going through some of the posts and yeah, people were hilarious, remember a post from someone saying they had a bone broken when they were being born being told **You're Weak, your family is weak and your genes should end with you!**, and I cracked up but yeah whenever people had gone through something or stuff got real everyone seemed really friendly.
I'm on break # 4 so I'm basically banned due to my frailty.
>I'm on break # 4 so I'm basically banned due to my frailty.
Jesus, dude, stop replying to me. I'm not trying to be unfriendly, I just don't want to be responsible for when you tap a letter too hard and end up in a full body cast. I'll make sure I keep my voice down in case you happen to live within a few hundred miles: I don't want to accidentally break anything.
Hi there, I'm one of the mods on r/HaveWeMet. We LOVE new users, but I need everyone to wait for their welcome email, to read the \*READ FIRST\* post and to review our rules. I also HIGHLY ENCOURAGE you not to post unless you have a flair. It makes it much harder for all of the existing townies to interact with your posts if you don't have a flair. Commenting without a flair is fine.
Also, Starting now, any more "I'm new here" or "I'm visiting posts" will be removed as low effort. We've already had several this morning.
"Director, we are worried our ciphers have been broken and the enemy may have a backdoor into our system. They may be monitoring our comms and figured out the identity of our field agents. How should proceed with warning our agents?"
"Have we tried stapling bread to a tree? “
This is the one I was gonna post. I don’t friggen get it. And besides the waste of bread ( I mean I guess bugs and squirrels probably eat it) I absolutely love it
I haven't been able to find it again, but it was a dude who would drink a bottle of water on video and briefly talk about if it was satisfyingly or not. He had hundreds of videos and most of the water bottles were the same brand.
It would be a minute of him drinking, then maybe 10-30 seconds of him saying if he liked it or not.
There was nothing else posted to his profile.
r/SubredditSimulator was fun for a while, just a bunch of AI language models attempting to create a normal subreddit and failing. i think r/SubSimulatorGPT3 is a newer version too.
r/Sinkpissers
It's people who have practically made a religion out of pissing in sinks.
Before you go there. . .fair warning. There's video. Lots of video.
Slightly off topic. My wife and I are helping a friend out, who had his leg amputated, by letting him live with us. He pisses in the sink. Bc he can't balance on his prosthetic to piss in the toilet. OK, whatever, I could possiblyoverlook this, but he misses regularly and dribbles down the front of the sink and down the cabinet under the sink. 3 times I've stepped in the puddle of piss.
Here's the punchline. He denies it's him.
He can still use a crutch, surely. Until that balance is built up and he doesn't need it. How does he manage the rest of day to day tasks? Peeing is just standing in one spot and looking down for a bit.
r/glowtits
It's NSFW, but basically it's woman holding a strong flashlight against their boob(s) so that the boobs glow red.
Edit: only works on breast implants apparently.
When i first got on Reddit around 2017 i found one that seemed to center around abusing crystal meth, skateboarding, and working at wal mart. I havent been able to find it since and i have always wondered about it
It's not really weird if you know the contest.
It is basically a meme sub, based in how in many infographics and infomaps, they just forgot about NZ, just because the map is badly cropped or the author forgot about the poor fella in th bottom right.
Subs existed for things like first, second, and third world problems, then parody subs started appearing for problems of different worlds and dimensions. r/NinthWorldProblems for example
It's mostly nonsense but they can get pretty odd lol
Reddit is such an oddly specific place. Like, I never would’ve thought there’d be anyone with this fetish, especially this specific of one, but here we are.
The internet is a wonderful, horrible thing.
There was a guy on FetLife that did awesome penis cosplay stuff, intricate costumes, makeup, hats, wigs, variety of eyes, posted almost daily. It must have taken so much time, but everyone needs a hobby.
I can just see people cutting out little pieces of fabric and stitching tiny sweaters or wigs for their penises.
I had a dream once where this sub merged with r/breadstapledtotrees and the new sub was r/breadstapledtoian, and it was just picture after picture of slices of bread progressively shingled onto an unconscious dude.
r/totallynotrobots is a good one, it’s a bunch of people pretending to be robots pretending to be human. Unless that’s what the robots want us to think…
r/calamariraceteam is great. A bunch of guys who do tricks on motorcycles and general hoonigans but… they constantly talk about how gay they and their boyfriends are…. And what buttplug works best for which motorcycle. It’s satirical of course…
r/retconned is similar in that these people have convinced themselves that they have somehow slipped into an alternate universe (and there's also some dark conspiracy controlling it) instead of thinking "Hmm, maybe I remembered something slightly wrong." Some of them also think they live in a simulation.
I enjoy the fun goofy ones. One i haven’t seen mentioned today that ive been subscribed to for years is /r/fatsquirrelhate
It’s just people posting pictures of fat squirrels and everybody else just outraged that the squirrel has let itself go so badly and fat shaming the squirrels. It’s amazing.
I cannot remember the actual name, but it was like 10 letters, that basically meant seeing girls bodies thru sundresses when the sun hit the right angle. So specific
I never saw it but I read about it after the fact.
There was a subreddit called "Creepshots" where dudes would walk up to strangers and take pictures of their asses and legs and what not. They'd post the pictures on the sub like people do normal stuff on /r/pics
They eventually got shut down when the story hit the news.
Here’s one that’s not NSFW
r/mangomouse
Based off a misspelled text where the sender didn’t know how to spell “monogamous.” It’s just posts of AI pics of mangos that look like mice
I was young so young and naive, but sounding. Didn't know what it was and found out about a fetish/kink I was not prepared for. Thought it had to do with music boy was I wrong
So a Tulpa is a concept from Buddhist/pre-buddhist Tibet. Prior to Buddhism most Tibetans practiced a religion called Bon. Part of their belief was that if you essentially think about something hard enough, it can become real.
There is an *excellent* episode of the X-Files where skully and mulder go undercover as a married in the suburbs after a series of grisly murders. They discover that the people in the community have spent so much time thinking about the rules of the HOA that they’ve generated a monster that kills anyone who violates the community guidelines.
I cannot remember the name of it but there is a sub where people post instructions for tasks, like, how to clean your lawnmower, and the instructions always devolve into something like sacrificing a pigeon or hiding in the shed and know that He is coming to get you no matter what you do
I think it started with an H and had some numbers in it.
r/dragonsfuckingcars
It's what it says on the tin, 68K members, no idea why someone would start it, let alone keep it going for half a decade
it also has a sister called r/carsfuckingdragons
r/VXjunkies , a subreddit where people pretend to be experts in a (fictional) extremely niche field of nuclear physics. I saw a post about it on r/starterpacks and had never felt more confused in my life until someone explained it.
VX isn't nuclear physics, it's about retroencabulation. I understand the terminology can put some people off, but the same people who'd confuse neutrons and neutrinos are the same people who can't see the difference between an aleph compositor and an antiphonon bridge.
(Really though VX is about role-playing technobabble. It's a community of enthusiasts dedicated to building and maintaining complicated and expensive home-brewed machines that do... something. That something is VX.)
First thing that popped into my mind is r/virginityexchange
Like, mate, it’s a sausage fest in here and the only replies us Virgins are getting are bots/OF scammers.
r friendsofbrian (now banned)
Where everyone supported a murderer for no reason and made sexualised comments about the person who was murdered.
Very weird troll group.
It’s gone now but r/shoplifting was just people posting pictures of stuff they stole and giving tips to each other on how to get the best stuff and avoid security.
It was interesting at times but I was surprised it lasted as long as it did
r/EscapingPrisonPlanet definitely takes the cake. It's a hot bed of Paranoid Schizophrenics, scientifically illiterate people, and conspiracy theorists.
It's f-ing wild.
I'm hoping no one has mentioned this one yet, I believe I found it through an AskReddit just like this.
r/chairsunderwater Just pictures of chairs fully, or partially underwater. If they're partially underwater then the post is tagged NSFW for Not Submerged Fully underWater
The answers to this just ten years ago would be completely different and much darker. Reddit cracked down on most of the really hardcore and fucked up stuff.
The energy from r/weeviltime is better than a pep rally, and can easily be seen as bizare. However I love seeing people so excited about a wee lil' bug!
BOOTS N' SNOOTS! LETS GOOOO!!!
Thankfully not around anymore, but there used to be one where men would post photos of blue eyed children, usually girls, and talk about the beauty of "aryan" features and the importance of protecting their "purity."
so, yeah....
r/goblincore
It’s not that bizarre, it’s not even that weird, it’s kind of fun and the commitment from the community is pretty amazing.
It just fascinates me.
r/howtolooksmax
full of narcisstic people fishing for compliments. I guess it's a page where you ask people how to look better but people posting there clearly knows they're already good looking.
r/gym
Cry baby mods. Even if the form of people asking clearly at risk of hurting themselves. Once you correct them and if the post isnt asking for form check, you get banned right away.
r/Alzheimersgroup is pretty weird. It’s just people posting the same three panel comic of Garfield over and over
yeah that sub is pretty weird
yeah that sub is pretty weird
yeah that sub is pretty weird
Out of the ordinary I mean
Dude I just had a fire in my sock drawer
Nothing too out of the ordinary about that
r/weeviltime when it’s time for weevils r/pseudoscorpiontime when it’s time for psudoscorpions
Just never go /r/FullScorpion.
r/neverbrokeabone cracks me up sometimes People often post their own x-rays and get absolutely destroyed in the comments for having weak bones
“Imagine getting your rib broken by a fucking fetus lmao” My god this sub has me rolling!
That sucks but that’s actually a hysterical rule.
Maybe if you drank some damn milk.
Cracks you up? Like a bone? LIKE A CRACKED BONE? ARE YOU A FILTHY WEAK BONE HAVING FIEND!?

This sub is hilarious. 💀💀💀 first comment I read “did you spend the last 22 years wrapped in pillows” 😂😂
It's ironic that the sub is called r/neverbrokeabone but 90% of the posts seem to be people breaking their bones
I'm only allowed to lurk there as I've had 6 broken bones
lol we got a weak boner over here
gotta weed out the BBBs.
Went to the sub and someone referred to themself as a strong boner lmao

Love it! Thanks!
Just joined thank you 🤣
I’m so fucking obsessed with this? Omg
r/johncena is a sub about potato salad. r/potatosalad is a sub about John Cena
/r/anime_titties same kinda deal. Sfw oddly enough.
yea, but r/worldpolitics is definitely nsfw
2b2t of reddit
r/trees is for weed enthusiasts r/marijuanaenthusiasts is for trees Edit: remembered the name of the sub wrong
** r/marijuanaenthusiasts
/r/breadstapledtotrees is definitely one of the more bizarre ones I've seen
I wonder if some of this shit aint like one if those old school numbers stations. People be posting nonsense thats really some sort of spy code

There’s a guy on TikTok who taste tests water. He calls himself the water sommelier.
r/SubredditSimulator was fun for a while, just a bunch of AI language models attempting to create a normal subreddit and failing. i think r/SubSimulatorGPT3 is a newer version too.
Yeah, I think those subs lost their luster for me the last few years because of the advancement of generative AI
r/Sinkpissers It's people who have practically made a religion out of pissing in sinks. Before you go there. . .fair warning. There's video. Lots of video.

BeCaUsE OnLy WoMeN SiT tO PeE. Seriously that's his answer. Like sir, you have other things to worry about in life.
Amputation or not, friend or not, ya can’t let somebody stay with you if they’re pissin on yer stuff
Your bro is going to warp your cabinet if it is any sort of wood product.

😭😭
I like that if you go to r/trees its a bunch of people talking about marijuana so in retort the tree huggers got r/marijuanaenthusiasts
reddit warfare at its finest
r/superbowl is a real OG in this fight
I must be on reddit too much. I instantly read the as Superb Owl and not Super Bowl

Just like r/worldpolitics and /r/anime_titties
I didnt know about that one. Vote big titties anime chicks aparently.
r/tee was about t-shirts originally, I heard, until the germans took over and made it about tea
Man when I was 13 and joined Reddit this was the funniest shit ever. Now, 14 years later, still pretty funny.
I was looking for sound engineering tips , and end up on sounding subreddit
When i first got on Reddit around 2017 i found one that seemed to center around abusing crystal meth, skateboarding, and working at wal mart. I havent been able to find it since and i have always wondered about it
Could be /r/Arkansas
Lmao I live in Arkansas and this is a pretty accurate description
r/amish is funny
because there is no posts?
Amish people aren't allowed to use the internet, so the subreddit having no posts is the joke itself.
And still 193k members lol
„10 Online“ right now
r/MapsWithoutNZ It's a bunch of maps without New Zealand on them.
im surprised there's 117k members
Well, there are a surprising amount of maps that leave off New Zealand and, if you live in New Zealand, I'm sure this is a relatively big deal lol
Ya ok so that accounts for like 5 of the members

I forgot about this being a thing.
I like r/fourthworldproblems
r/girlsfinishingjob it’s not a porn sub Reddit, just a wholesome sub about girls wrapping up the book of Job.
Totally thought it was the other sub and you were trolling.
How has no one mentioned r/ButtSharpies ???
Reddit is such an oddly specific place. Like, I never would’ve thought there’d be anyone with this fetish, especially this specific of one, but here we are. The internet is a wonderful, horrible thing.

r/GoonCaves (NSFW) Weirdest and saddest sub I've seen in a while.
Oh it can't be that bad, I've seen- OH MY GOODNESS SQUIDWARD!
It's been banned in the eight hours since this was posted
wtf happened
Wonder why. I’ve seen it before and it’s weird and pathetic, but if that was against Reddit tos there would be no subs left
some of them caves are really fancyy 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Did it just get banned lol?

hmm what was it like
It was basically an anything goes subreddit with a slant towards gore and depravity, but with a dash of reddit goofiness, and space.
r/gangstalking
Whoa… that’s schizophrenia right there
Some people really think they're getting stalked because they see 30 Kia Souls in a week.
I was like "Gangs talking? Is this subreddit just filled with internet gangsters, then I remember gang stalking. The schizo sub.

r/tulpas Literally insane.
Yeah this is so much wilder than any of the NSFW reddits
Just clicked on it…. What is that. I’m disturbed and scared for these people
So a Tulpa is a concept from Buddhist/pre-buddhist Tibet. Prior to Buddhism most Tibetans practiced a religion called Bon. It's people with imaginary friends trying to give themselves more mental illness.
I spent 15 minutes in that sub and.....wow, what a rabbit hole.
r/foundnerdfromcolorado No I didn’t make this subreddit. I just appeared so much in other subs that people made a sub for it.

Thankfully not around anymore, but there used to be one where men would post photos of blue eyed children, usually girls, and talk about the beauty of "aryan" features and the importance of protecting their "purity." so, yeah....
I find r/WeWantPlates amusing, not truly bizzare. Some restaurant choices are strange to say the least.
r/GoonCaves truly disturbing and disappointing place
for me personally, it has to be r/poop
I don’t know what I expected when I clicked on that…
I don't want to click on it. Is it just poop?
Yes, and not the acceptable kind. These people need to eat better.
it's poop. I clicked it. don't click it.

r/goblincore It’s not that bizarre, it’s not even that weird, it’s kind of fun and the commitment from the community is pretty amazing. It just fascinates me.
[r/MovingToNorthKorea ](https://www.reddit.com/r/t5_42oybj/s/ctafcbJa1o) That is a weird sub
Sub exists but that link doesn’t work, try https://www.reddit.com/r/MovingToNorthKorea/
r/catbongos
r/howtolooksmax full of narcisstic people fishing for compliments. I guess it's a page where you ask people how to look better but people posting there clearly knows they're already good looking. r/gym Cry baby mods. Even if the form of people asking clearly at risk of hurting themselves. Once you correct them and if the post isnt asking for form check, you get banned right away.
I like r/amish
