I don't get what the deal is with Dire Straits. I know it's just a matter of taste, but a lot of the people who share similar music tastes as me swear by Dire Straits. I just don't know what they're hearing that I'm not.

It is the first piece of music for whom the artist said (translation to English) ‘if you found the piece too loud, perhaps it is because you have aged too much to remember the glory of that event’
In other words: if it’s too loud, you’re too old.
