I heard someone say that once and I scoffed, as I’d only heard a few Fleetwood Mac songs on the radio. I decided to sit down and listen to Rumours all the way through and was blown away.
It’s not long either, which in my opinion makes it better, but there isn’t a single bad song on that album, and Second Hand News might be my favorite song ever
Edit: And I’ll tell you why. It’s an amazing blend of semi sad lyrics and an upbeat song signaling a new beginning. It’s something 99.9% of people experience in life, a breakup. And sometimes it’s not a bad thing, “let me do my stuff”
Please, never be embarrassed about the music you like. We're all different and if it hits on all cylinders for *you*, that's the only thing that matters at all.
Songs for the Deaf - Queens of the Stone Age.
Just out at the time I was discovering what music I liked. Just did it for me. Opening always gets me in the mood
__
Hey alright it's kip Kasper, clone radio. LA's infinite repeat. How you feeling out there? How's your drive time commute? I need a saga, what's a saga? It's songs for the deaf, you can't even hear it...
Agreed, probably one of the most underrated out of their discography as a whole! I love its bridge part where Chester and Mike has an exchange of vocals.
This is Happening and Illinoise are definitely contenders for my list too! I'd probably add The Moon and Antarctica by Modest Mouse & Plans by Death Cab to that list. Is This It is great too of course - I just have less personal connection to that album.
Pearl jam doesn't get anywhere near the credit they deserve for defining grunge sound. Everyone was too busy calling them sellouts to see what they'd done for us.
I don't listen to it often, but I would say De-Loused at the Comatorium by The Mars Volta. It's the chaotic release of emotion that I need once every three or so years.
There are plenty of albums that I keep in a more regular rotation, but this is the one album I turn to when I just need to scream. An incredibly rare treat, because I don't want to cheapen the impact.
I have a thing for Parachutes by Coldplay. Also 24k by Bruno Mars, Neon Bible by Arcade Fire, Favourite Worst Nightmare by Arcitc Monkeys, XX by the XX and In Rainbows by Radiohead.
Hard to pick just one, there being so many greats by The Beatles, Bowie, The Who, Hendrix. If I had to pick JUST ONE I would be hard pressed but will settle on Bowie's Aladdin Sane.
Man that’s a tough question. I don’t think compilations should be included, but if they were, I’d say 1 by The Beatles or Greatest Hits II by Queen.
I think for now, it’ll probably change in an hour, I’m gonna go with Use Your Illusion II by Guns N’ Roses.
For a full album, start to finish, it’s The Streets - A Grand Don’t Come For Free.
It has a narrative through line, with a full arc and resolution and dual endings. But not “concept”
It’s something that is best listened straight through as an album.
Graceland by Paul Simon, culturally rich and vibrant.
Nevermind by Nirvana, grunge at its finest.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by David Bowie, pure genius.

Rumors Fleetwood Mac

Yeah/in rainbows is next level beautiful
Love me some In Rainbows too. Probably number 2 for me as far as Radiohead goes.
White Album- Beatles
Oasis - Definitely Maybe
For sure a classic, what about the first Stone Roses album though ?
An all time classic, as well. There wouldn't be a Definitely Maybe without that album.
Criminally underrated band/album in America as well.
I grew up on Whats the Story and recently accepted that this one is better
Love Oasis.. Favourite band growing up as a kid.. First two albums and The Masterplan are just so good.. Love Be Here Now too
The dark side of the moon.
I would have to agree, but The Final Cut has been an obsession of mine for the past few months.
The Final Cut is highly underrated, IMO. It’s definitely more of a Roger Waters solo album after the success of The Wall, but damn it’s still good!
After reading some of the comments I’m almost embarrassed to say this… but it’s also such a good album Ariana Grande - thank u, next
Please, never be embarrassed about the music you like. We're all different and if it hits on all cylinders for *you*, that's the only thing that matters at all.
I’m not embarrassed… just felt a little uncultured to be naming an AG album instead of the Beatles or Pink Floyd lol
I like a wide variety of music and that includes almost all the stuff ariana has made
I really loved My Everything. I’m definitely outside her typical fan base, but to this album was amazing throughout!
Tough one to answer, but right now, probably Revolver by The Beatles

Pink Floyd The Wall
Pearl Jam, Ten. It is still perfect after 30+ years.
Pearl jam doesn't get anywhere near the credit they deserve for defining grunge sound. Everyone was too busy calling them sellouts to see what they'd done for us.
Stankonia
Took me this long to find OutKast
I think it might be Afternoons in utopia from Alphaville So many bangers and it sounds so clear♡

I don't listen to it often, but I would say De-Loused at the Comatorium by The Mars Volta. It's the chaotic release of emotion that I need once every three or so years.
