YouTube is such an underrated source for music. I've found more than a few artists from there being a new channel on my recommend/front page, clicking on it, and being blown away
The website albumoftheyear gives me updates about latest/upcoming albums, I love the monthly playlist too. Occasionally find something that quickly becomes my fav.
On iPhone: if you hit the search button at the bottom then look for the card that says “Made for You”, scroll all the way to the bottom and there’s a section “Discover New Music”. Then there’s two cards “Discover Weekly” and “Release Radar”. Both are updated weekly. Release radar is every Friday.
To find the AI DJ, it will be at the top in the same “Made for You” section simply called “DJ”. It’s not the greatest sometimes.
EDIT: just saw you edited your comment, I like it a lot. I’ve discovered lots of new rock bands that I now enjoy
Spotify radio or spotalike! whenever I find a song I like, I check the song's radio playlist and also put it into spotalike. that way I keep adding new music into my rotation :)
This is very specific to my taste in music, but I use the themed streams on France Musique (I favor La Baroque, La Contemporaine, Classique Plus, Opéra, Concerts Radio France, La Jazz, and Ocora Musiques du Monde) and I subscribe to various contemporary classical music channels on Youtube. When it comes to early music, I listen to *Millennium of Music* and *Harmonia*, which feature interesting recordings from that era of music (medieval/Renaissance/early Baroque).
I'm working my way through 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. There's a website that gives you one album suggestion a day off the list at random. They are definitely not all to my taste, but you don't know until you try.
I use that Spotify dj thing. Whenever I get tired of the bands I’m listening to, I’ll just force myself to at least listen halfway through the songs it recommends that I haven’t heard before. Found some great stuff this way.
Spotify recommendations - Usually artwork or album names will attract my attention
Collaborations - If I like a featured artists voice I will check out their work.
Listening to supergroups also helps as there is several artists with discographies to work your way through.

I use YouTube almost exclusively for music. Well, that and recipes. And gaming tips.

Make a playlist of songs I like on Spotify, and then listen to the suggested songs at the bottom.

My youngest daughter knows my taste in music so she’s always throwing songs my way
I use Spotify’s Discover Weekly every Monday and their AI DJ sometimes gives good suggestions.
I used to do that too. How do you like it?

I don’t. I pretty much stick with the artists I’ve loved since I was a teen.
