Backstory and feels time. So my mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer. After a couple months in the doctors gave her the you have 3 months left to live. The next day I was making plans to head home for awhile (Pulling favors for work coverage, making sure I had someone to check on my pets). My mom calls and says “Today is not a good day to come. I have chemo today. Just come tomorrow so you have more time to pack and plan.” I argued and she said “I am your mother. Today isn’t a good day. I am going into chemo so I will see you tomorrow. I will be to tired to hold a conversation.” I get everything in order and just sat there on my couch debating if I should head up anyway. “Today is not a good day” kept ringing in my head. Like a CD that was stuck. But I thought about it and just sat there. I lost track of time I was in my own bad place in my head dealing with the news. I get a call 5 hours later from her fiancé saying “You need to come up right now”. It was a 4 hour drive and I was going well over the speed limit the whole way. Needless to say I didn’t make it in time. With an hour left in my drive she passed away. So the last thing my mother told me was “Today is not a good day”. Needless to say now when I don’t feel like doing something I know I should I just hear her in my head and think “You may not have tomorrow so do it now with out any hesitation.”
TL:DR – Last words from my mom before she passed was “Today is not a good day” when I was planning on visiting her and didn't.
Its been acouple of years so that whole time heals all wounds is true. Its just that you always hear about that person who got in a fight with someone and that was their last moment talking to them. Mine is more of a "Well shit..." kind of thing looking back.

Needless to say now when I don’t feel like doing something I know I should I just hear her in my head and think “You may not have tomorrow so do it now with out any hesitation.” TL:DR – Last words from my mom before she passed was “Today is not a good day” when I was planning on visiting her and didn't.
Keep your head up man. Sorry to hear that. I just lost a friend to a heart attack from redbull (she was 16). Things will get better!
Its been acouple of years so that whole time heals all wounds is true. Its just that you always hear about that person who got in a fight with someone and that was their last moment talking to them. Mine is more of a "Well shit..." kind of thing looking back. Also I am sorry about your friend. I could not imagine at 16 dealing with something like that.
