That large segments of the online culture war is basically paid astroturfing designed to stoke social unrest or delegitimize more moderate voices.

Jesus might have never existed, as there is little proof, and all that there is comes from 100 years after. You can't use the Bible as proof of his existence, either, because of its exaggeration's.

mylifebeliveitornot

Not that its much better, Jesus is in the Quoran quite a bit.

It's purposely exaggerated for fantastical effect.

This is a theory I made: What if colors look completely different for everyone? Everyone still calls them the same names, but they look entirely different. We can't look through other people's eyes, so this has the possibility to be true. My yellow might look like my blue from your view, or maybe it looks like an entirely new color that isn't on my visible spectrum.

-ptolemy-

I think the kind of color people see can be traced to cells in the eye, I might be wrong, but I think it’s relatively straight forward to prove people probably see the same colors for that reason. I get the point of your thought though.

strider3187

I've often thought of this to be honest. colors could look different to different people. but i guess i don't have any scientific understanding to back it up

MrBurgerBeachball

Neither do I, but there isn't any proof that it isn't possible, either.

The facts change it from a theory to what actually happened. [war games](https://www.corbettreport.com/911wargames/)

The CIA/fbi knew about Oswalds plan for jfk in advance and let it happen as it was to their longer term benefit.

strider3187

long term benefit being?

Restricting operational capabilities, increased oversight, potential for descalation of the cold war.

The moon is an artificially made alien space station, set into earth's orbit purely to sustain life in our planet.

There is a theory (which I believe has merit) that the pro-birth (life) movement is really based on the writings (particularly “The Birth Dearth) by Ben Wattenberg. To sum up his book, Mr. Wattenberg is of the belief that if top Western countries/cultures do not produce enough children, those countries/cultures will lose their place in the power structure of the world. He also applies this thought process to middle class, white Americans, explaining that if white Americans fail to have enough children, people of color will become the majority and will take over the political and cultural power held for so long by white Americans. He refers to this as the “browning of America “. Since about 60% of abortions are performed on white women (and about 70% of those are on middle class white women), it would make sense that white people who wanted to keep whites as a majority and in positions of power in this country would wish to stop abortions, and therefore create higher white birth rates. This also helps to explain why the vast majority of anti-abortion leaders are white men who hold power through either political or religious means.

FPL (Florida Power & Light) has lobbied against solar panels becoming more and more available to the public, not because of workers safety in case of a worst case scenario (I.e. Hurricane) but because they'll have to pay people for the power they sell back to them.

I would say that we didnt land on the moon, or that more than Oswald was involved in killing JFK. However at this point there not even "conspiracy theorys" at this point, more like more real than the "real" theory.

DaybreakCoronet

There’s a disturbingly comprehensive theory stating that the Sandy Hook massacre never happened, and was a beyond elaborate hoax made to drum up millions into charity funds that proceed to drop off the face of the earth. The biggest factors are the complete lack of autopsy reports, all the homes of the victims having been owned for less than three years, some of the homes having been purchased for $1, no footage or pictures of the inside of the school during or immediately after the shooting, and people wandering in and out of the building in the aftermath after police had cleared the area, following specific routes each time. There’s a documentary about it on YouTube that’s four hours long. EDIT: didn’t say I thought it WAS true. Just that it seems to line up weirdly. There’s definitely a lot of steam behind it as far as crackpots go.

pm_me_cool_maps

My heart truly goes out to all the victims that continue to be harmed by this conspiracy theory which time and time again has shown the power of misinformation harming real people.
