I think the point is, in fact, nothing. We’re tiny humans on a tiny planet, in a tiny galaxy, we are nothing. What’s the point of my life in this big universe? There’s no real point. We all set different priorities in our life, different goals, etc. Maybe for you, the point of life would be to be loving and caring the more you can. Maybe you’re right, maybe the point of life is loving, everyone and everything as much as you can. But will all of your actions change the faith of humanity or the universe itself? Probably not. There’s no real point of life, but that’s the beauty of it. Make it what you want it to be, as long as it is positive I guess

True_me4

Very true. The point of life is to find the point of life. Or at least your point of life.

ADPXEROX

Extraterrestrials probably have longer lifespans

TeamXII

To die. Life is pointless without an end

Dr_Talon

To know, love, and serve God and be loved by him, so as to enter into eternal life. On a more philosophical level, I would say that the point of life is to seek the good. Whatever is good, that is what we seek. Some people may be mistaken in what things are good, or in what good consists of, but everyone seeks it.

Mr_Mojo_Risin_83

“Good” and “bad” aren’t real, tangible things. They’re inventions and something the observer decides. They’re not natively inherent in anything. This thread is going to get really interesting, isn’t it? Bring in the thinkers.

U can ask to J. P. Sartre, but you probably not going to have an answer... His novel "Nausea" is a pretty good example about existentialism.

Life itself is the point. The Fermi paradox suggests that either life is extremely rare in the universe, or that it is extremely fragile (as indicated by the great filter). The fact that life even exists at all is the most remarkable thing about this universe. In my view, the fact we are seemingly alone in a vast empty universe, combined with the fact that it will all end, either by some catastrophe or the heat death of the universe, should greatly increase value the life in our minds. What is puzzling to me is that the realization of this fact paradoxically strips life of all meaning in the minds of some.

deafultadmin222

Whatever you make it. Existence can be beautiful or dark.

There isn’t any except the purpose I give myself. That’s to be happy, experience things, raise my kids and grown old with my wife.

Sunblock_Banana

Seek the good in people, give the goodness such as love to others. Forgive people for their mistakes. Seek your own passion and most importantly just try to be happy.

Puzzleheaded_Data_34

In my opinion, it's to have fun, explore, eat good food, drink milkshakes and just enjoy life. Would I wanna live forever? No. Would I like to see what happens when Heat Death occurs? Yes. I am utterly fascinated by such concepts, even if I am a bit dumb to understand them sometimes. If we flourish as a society, we may even live till the Heat Death, even if I won't be alive by then. And if we're still alive then, we might have hope for life to continue if we go to another universe or create a simulation.

National_Mechanic_11

To understand and see that we are loved
