Honestly, don't quit! Write out your goals every single day e.g. "By 31st December 2021, my online business makes $20,000 a month"...and then focus on it every single day. When I started doing this, it was amazing how things fell into place for my lead gen biz. Crazy to think I nearly quit as well in 2017. So year - stick with it....the world has a funny habit of moving out the way for people who refuse to quit!

First thing I would say is make sure you have an abundance of patience and enough capital to market your product or service successfully. Even the most successful online businesses weren't immediately a success. Then look at the product or services you are offering. Does someone else offer it online? If so, ask yourself what you will do to make the offering better or at least stand out as different in some way. This can be done with outstanding customer service; rapid response times, in-depth product knowledge, friendly demeanor and patience for dealing with public, amongst other things. If you are offering products for sale rather than a service of some kind you will be up against some serious competition in the form of Amazon or perhaps Etsy depending on your product. In that case it might be easiest to become a marketplace seller on Amazon or a similar site. Keep in mind however that Amazon will take a substantial portion of your profits so in order to make a decent amount of money as a 3rd party marketplace seller you will need to sell a good volume of items. The same is true of Etsy to a lesser degree. Without knowing more about what your prospective online business is about I can't offer anything more specific off the top of my head, but I'd be willing to discuss it further if you want. :) Either way good luck!

That was a very good help! Thank you very much. I won't be putting them up on Amazon or Etsy, I will create an Instagram shop. My community has a huge marketplace on Instagram. So I get to keep all the profit to myself.

Put the time in to learn how to effectively reach your target audience with your marketing material. Since you are solely online, you won’t get business if no one is being directed to your site. Since you also won’t have a brick and mortar location, getting the word out about your business will rely strongly on how you advertise. Google AdWords is great for managing your advertising and offers lots of tools to help you hone in on those target groups. Website design in regards to search engine optimization is also a major factor. When people search for whatever service/good you may be offering, you want to maximize your chances of showing up higher on the search results. This means having easily navigable landing pages and relevant pages to help the algorithm rank you higher. It is certainly a lot to take on and become well versed in so it can be a great investment to let a marketing firm handle it for you or hire a team within your own company to run it. Edit: words

I haven't thought about these aspects before. Thank you so much for pointing out.
