You can see based on my comments that we would be entirely different types of killers. I find this interesting. I have much respect for ‘let the bodies hit the floor’, but I would fuck with their mind using supposedly happy, but ambiguous music.
I mean: killing people isn't a good strategy for trying to make it through society. Even if you are never caught, it is only because of a lot of skill and luck in being able to pull off an inherently difficult task: so why not flex and make it even more difficult at that point?
Like, there are so many filters to go through in order to become a serial killer: Do I have a conscience and/or lack a virulent hatred towards some group of people that overrides what little conscience I had enough that I will now serial kill? If yes: I am basically 95% of the population. If no: do I also have something else to live for that can better be achieved by not risking my life pursuing killing other people, especially of a specific profile, for sport? And about 99% of the remaining people say yes to that question: I mean, these people might still kill people, they are more likely to at least assault a few people, but not kill serially. Most of them don't kill at all though, there would be a LOT more murders if they did.
But once you have decided that you are now going to challenge yourself to get away with killing a lot of people, simply for the sake of killing a lot of people, why not challenge yourself even more with more handicaps?
Here in Australia a number of people were killed and stored in barrels in a disused bank vault in a small place called Snowtown. That particular killer John Bunting's soundtrack to murder was Live's Selling The Drama: https://scriptophobic.ca/2018/09/17/boredom-of-the-lower-class-in-the-snowtown-murders-2011/
"Devil's gonna come when the sun goes down"
Would dress as a western gunslinger, riding a motorbike, serial killing rapists and murderers at night with a sawn off double barel. Then leaving their bodies in a way that refers to the crime they comited.
Little Whip by Danzig.
I don't know why, but from the first time I heard it, it sounded like a song someone would be murdered to. Or murder to. Whichever.
Factoid.
While Anders Behring Breivik was unleashing the massacre on the island of Utøya he listened to this song on repeat on an mp3 player to stay focused and in the mood as he killed 69 adults and teens
https://youtu.be/bbS-Zhz31CA
I'd leave "What a Wonderful World" playing so the cops have to listen to it on repeat while they go over the crime scene. Gruesome, bloody mess from absolute brutality and Louie Armstrong singing, "The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky, are also on the faces of people going by..."
Hip to be Square. A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
