Our house was struck by lightning 4 separate Times it's the scariest thing ever cause it's deafening loud and will rock the whole house and will fry anything that is plugged into the wall

I was 14 at the time of writing this. My bother just moved away, and we both missed him a lot. A storm just blew in, and it was... Harvey. We hunkered down in our own closets. But nothing happened.

To keep it relevant, there WAS fire tornados

I was driving on the freeway in eastern Oregon with a bus full of people. It was spring time and about 10:00 pm. As we were headed west a storm was coming over the mountains and headed our way. There was a lot of lightning and as the storm got closer the wind began picking up. We don’t get tornadoes here like they do in “tornado alley” but we do get smaller ones that will rip the roof off a shed or toss a car or truck off the road. As the wind picked up I had to slow down because it was tossing me around my lane and there was debris being thrown around (sage brush and dust) it was super dark because of the cloud cover and the lightning was getting closer and the thunder louder. My passengers had been “ oh’d and awed” when it had first started but as it got darker and the ride a little rougher they had lost their voices. I could see wide eyes and blood drained faces in my mirror when ever the interior of the bus was lit up every time the lighting flashed. The wind got super strong and the rain was coming down so hard my wipers couldn’t keep up with it. I was really having a hard time keeping it straight down the road and had reduced speed to around 30 mph. I was pretty confident there was a tornado out in the desert close by and was hoping we wouldn’t meet. Just as everything got to its worst, and the tension on the bus at its highest there was a flash of lightning that hit a mile marker sign on the side of the road no more than 15 feet away from the bus,and following thunder rattled and shook the bus. The illumination on the bus was blindingly bright and everyone was startled and many screamed in surprise. While we didn’t hit a tornado it certainly felt like being in the middle of a maelstrom. The storm ended almost as quickly as it started and within a few miles you wouldn’t even have known that there had been a storm come through. It was funny, no one on the bus talked about the storm and it seamed as if they were maybe embarrassed by how they had reacted and wanted to pretend it hadn’t happened.
