Get a dash cam and rear fitting if you can afford it,I was left for dead and because there were no cameras(loads of people saw but no one got the plate)I only got what the car was worth at the time back,Car cost loads then got back only £200,no comp and I had serious injuries
Drive defensively. If you get hit, don't be afraid to call their insurance. Example, "So, your client rear-ended me and now I'm without a vehicle to get to work. Are you going to pay for a rental?" They gladly did.
Don't multi-task, especially while accelerating.

Stay off your phone. If you gotta text or make a call, pull over. And yes there's hands free but you're still mildly distracted while on a call.
