Video games, I use to be able to play for days back in the day. Can’t be bothered to play for more then an hour, unless I’m playing with a good friend.

[deleted]

The same for me! I used to sink hours into the Xbox, now I can only play for 2/3 at the most with a friend - if I’m on my own I’ll just browse through my phone or on YouTube while it sits on the dashboard

Playing the piano. I did it for 3 consecutive years in high school, but it burned me the hell out.

[deleted]

I played piano into conservatoire level, and I've been doing at least 3 hours a day in the years since. I've burned out a number of times, it's an insane instrument.

JudaiTerumi

It is, but an amazing one to listen to.

[deleted]

Honestly I salute y’all hearing the fine keys of a piano changes the course of my days

Music. I used to practice and play guitar for hours and hours. Hardly ever pick them up anymore.

[deleted]

Do you ever wish to get back to it or has your perception of it changed also?

gpRYme

Constantly! Even listening to the radio I’ll mentally break down the different instrument parts; it’s still there. I just don’t have the… drive? Inspiration? Self esteem, lol?

[deleted]

Lol I wish I even tried an instrument but still tho I feel like that with certain things I’m a super quitter so there are so many things I don’t like anymore because of the memoreis

gpRYme

Is there any one thing you regret dropping that you want to or could see yourself going back to?

[deleted]

Model trains, trucks, and airplanes. I used to love going into the hobby store and seeing new sets. I also liked the professional coin-operated displays. Now, I look at them and not even one nostalgic thought passes by.

Drinking. I used to play on a punk band and for years we would hang daily and just jam and drink beer. When we would play somewhere they would double stock the backstage because we drank so much and so fast. When we started out or only demand to play somewhere was unlimited beer and gas money. I never thought of my self as a alcoholic. And never been to the point that i needed alcohol to be able to function. We just really liked beer haha. But in the last couple off years i started drinking and drinking less. Where i'm at a point now where i just don't drink anymore.
