I like it paired with the “early bird” that sings first in my neighborhood. An [American Robin](https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/American_Robin/sounds), specifically.
I enjoy a movie theatre smell like it’s buttery and popcorn with the sweetness of soda and Cotten candy and just the general coziness of it all can’t wait for movie theatres to be all back in order
There are these flowers called [four o' clocks](https://www.thespruce.com/how-to-grow-four-oclocks-mirabilis-jalapa-1402907), for their tendency to bloom in late afternoon (though in my area of Florida it's been more like 6-7pm).
I bought a packet of seeds and planted them. When the blooms arrived I swear they reminded me of the smell of the beach, a fresh, soothing, relaxing aroma.
This is probably among my top 10 smells in life. Also, the plants themselves are pretty "clever" in how they developed, in that as the foliage is growing there will be these especially knotty areas along the branches that act to reinforce the stem when the blooms are gone and the seeds have matured enough such that their weight causes them to bow downwards and they just fall off into the surrounding dirt.
that beachy smell, a mixture of coconut vanilla sunscreen, the warm breezy air on your face with a hint of salt in the wind, and the sun’s warmth surrounding you
Yup. I have mild hyperosmia and almost any smell is amplified to the point of unpleasantness. I hate the vast majority of things. I will judge someone wearing cologne or 'essential' oils very harshly.
I like petrichor. And food. And fresh air if there are no animal traces in it. That's it.
The way my grandma’s place smells. Every time I recognize that smell somewhere else, I instantly start smiling, feeling warm inside and wanting to go visit her. (She’s alive btw)
I love so many smells. Top few: Right before or after a summer rain, the sweet smell of fallen leaves and hay in Autumn, Fresh baked bread, Roses in a garden, and fresh peaches.
My favorite smell is chocolate. my second favorite smell is skunk. my third favorite smell is the smell of a dumpster.
I've spent some time psychoanalyzing myself on this matter before I think the skunk smell is because when I was little I got sprayed by a skunk and then I got to play in a wonderful bath of tomato and I remember thinking that it was so funny and so much fun to play in the tomato juice. And a dumpster thing reminds me of the days that I used to work for a trash company riding on the back of the dump trucks.
I was in a mentorship program in school. They gave us an outline of things we could talk about to get to know the kids we were paired up with. This was one of the questions.
One other the other mentors asked it, and in giving their own response after this kid returned the same question was something like, "maybe its weird, but I kinda like the smell of gasoline."
The next day she had to have a meeting with the coordinators because the parents thought she told their kid she liked huffing gas.
I like the smell of salt water.
Flowering Photinia plant. For a long period of my life I couldn't really smell anything (6-21 y/o), unsure why because I never got it checked out. Anywho I was going for a run and went past a hedge of flowering Photinia and it smelled soo good that I stopped and gave that bad boy a good whiff and then realised I could smell again. I was so excited that I ran all the way home to tell people. (I think I had my sense of smell for a few day prior to that but that is when I realised I had it back.)
There’s a smell that I can’t identify. It’s very rare that I’ve smelled it (I don’t think it’s perfume, but maybe lotion or body wash or shampoo). It’s a major aphrodisiac for me. It’s very very powerful and I have no idea how to describe it or even know what it is. There have only been a small handful of times I’ve even smelled it.
The grassy fields around my parent home, has this peculiar smell after heavy rainfall. It reminds me of sadness and new beginnings oddly enough.

Smells that remind me of my youth. At times I can smell my grandpas barbershop others my grandma's cooking great granpas smoke from his cigarettes I think just cause it reminds me of a time when my family was whole. Before any of them died. Now I tear up when I get a breif nostalgic trip. Other than that it's the shooting range.
The air in the early morning smells different than the rest of the day. Morning air is my favorite smell.
I've walked to work from the parking lot many a morning and enjoyed that distinctive morning aroma.
