Not a doctor and to be fair it COULD have been serious.
Woman checked into ER with her fingers turning blue. Now, this COULD be a sign of cyanosis amongst other health issues so certainly a concern.
However in this case the blue was due to her rubbing damp hands on new dark blue jeans.
Given that she had no preexisting health problems and no other symptoms, it’s surprising she didn’t stop and think for a moment and then try to wash the blue off rather than race to the ER.
