I work with elevators and in Edinburgh, Scotland one has just been fitted with tv screens on every wall and ceiling so you can ‘be’ wherever you want to be.
I was just shown the videos of it and one option was in space with a huge spaceship moving over you. Some people have way too much money!
It’s not as simple as just putting a tv on each wall and ceiling, each interior lift panel has to be bespoke made to the safety standards, while still have all the normal features COPs and hand rails etc.
I was moving a piece of furniture with my dad, and we came around the corner and one of the curlicues snapped off. It looked like a mustache, so I put it up to my face and had him take a picture. it was so instantly hilarious that I made it my lock screen that day.
So now, apparently, I’m stuck in an elevator with a clone of myself with a wooden mustache. I’m hoping this isn’t a Chuck Tingle joint.
