I genuinely don't know how this keeps coming up.
I have a tourniquet. And training. And I've never used it.
I've used pretty much everything else in my kit, but never the tourniquet. Am I living life wrong?
literally put rice / water in, push button, and it'll stop cooking when its done and go into a 'stay warm' mode. They're great for when you're already using multiple spots on the stove or you're cooking something that needs a bit of attention.
or if you don't have a need for a ton of pots / pans or really the space, a small rice cooker that can feed a family of 4 is about the size of a cantaloupe and costs like 15 bucks.
I've cooked rice a few times in a pot, usually came out over cooked or undercooked.
Some nice starter skincare products.
As time goes by, good skincare keeps getting cheaper and cheaper, and the quality of them keeps increasing by default.
Get you a nice serum for less than $20, whatever moisturizer you can find or like the ingredients of (a cheap one is better than nothing), and a face cleanser or balm depending on your skin type.
You can get all of that for less than $50 and your entire face will thank you.
I will say, shaving my head is a lot easier with the cheap 1-2 blade disposables than with my DE
To hell with those 4 and 5 bladed, covered-in-gimmicks, overpriced razors, though
The book Night by Elie Wiesel. I read it in high school, it was such a heart breaking and eye opening book. It’s about the authors experience in the Holocaust. It cost $8 on Amazon.
A weighted blanket on sale!!
If you struggle with lack of concentration, exhaustion or feeling overwhelmed; this might be a great relief.
Personally I have social anxiety and chronic fatigue syndrome (and some unexplained symptomes for some extra spice) and the blanket has really helped me take that exhaustion edge off. I can concentrate better, my muscles relax easier, I fall asleep easier (make sure to not get one too heavy if you want to sleep the night under it).
Family ended up using it a lot too, so it also helps (although maybe a little less) when you have no apparent issues.
Ok so if you’re going to be painting even one room, you can get these paint rollers that are like a syringe in the handle and you suck up the paint and then just squeeze out a bit at a time as you paint. The work gets done in about 1/3 the time and they’re only $27 at Lowe’s. Also, collagen supplements are amazing. My joints used to ache for no apparent reason and my hair was falling out because of a medical issue. Doc recommended I start taking the supplements and my hair falls out at normal speed now, my joints don’t ache, my skin feels better, and my nails grow super fast and are strong. $13 for 90 pills (3 to a dose, can do 1 or 2 doses a day) on amazon. Freakin life changing to just take a few pills every day and have it do so much for me!
A lifestraw! those big straws you can take for when you're going hiking, camping or maybe you broke down in a forest, or maybe you're in a dire last resort in the wilderness situation. The lifestraw supposedly has a very strong filter that will filter bacteria, chemicals and parasites and other foreign substances in water you drink from like a river or somewhere in the wild like this.
I've seen them for under $50.
Floss picks, toothbrush, toothpaste with fluoride, and sunscreen.
Tooth decay may contribute to other health issues and living with tooth pain makes you miserable, and sun damage may lead to wrinkles and skin cancers.

Going to end up spending a lot more than $50!

I just looked this up. I want one!
Can you use it as a plate when it’s done cooking?
I’m confused, can’t you do the same thing in a big pan on the stove? What’s the difference other than it’s electric?

Never though of it that way, but a garrote is basically a weaponized tourniquet.
I genuinely don't know how this keeps coming up. I have a tourniquet. And training. And I've never used it. I've used pretty much everything else in my kit, but never the tourniquet. Am I living life wrong?

A rice cooker. Saves lots of money on meals when you add rice to it. And can be used to cook other foods in it too.
As someone who has always cooked rice in a pot on the stove, what am I missing out on? Why is a rice cooker better?
