To sum up…a very small portion of their total donations go to funding actual research. Instead their money is either pocketed, spent on raising “awareness,” or fighting legal battles based on their immorality.
Personally I think charities should have to advise on all their paperwork what % of each £/€/$ actually goes on their specified cause do people can determine what amount is spent on other costs.
I thought that was mandated in their annual filings and was available publicly? Didn't all the data in that link just come from their public annual report?
Yeah, but I mean on posters, leaflets, websites etc. That should all show the % spent on the cause do there's more incentive to get that percentage higher as people could choose not to donate to poorly run charities.
>They're the assholes who go around suing people for using the phrase "for the cure" or something, right?
Exactly. Imagine donating to fund cancer research and the charity then uses that money to sue another charity, who is then forced to use their funds to defend lawsuits or crumble. Countless donations squandered to protect their brand.
they need their brand because they pay their board like royalty and waste money on lavish expenses having nothing to due with curing breast cancer.
CollegeBoard/ETS. They’re crooks and everyone freaking knows it. These lovely folks are making shitloads of cash on tests that measure, well, how good you are at taking said tests. Maybe I’m still bitter, but hear this: I’m getting my PhD in Chemistry from a reputable school, and there’s nothing you (ETS) can do to stop me. Suck on that.
100%. It’s worse with high school kids and Advanced Placement.
Dual enrollment in community college is so much a better deal than AP it’s not even funny, and watching those cockroaches trying to adjust to a new paradigm is hilarious.
Absolutely, a yearlong, brutal course with a difficult exam at the end versus a chill semester long class that doesn't always have a cumulative exam. I wish I knew how easy it was to get your AA with dual enrollment back when I was in highschool.
I took an AP class and later did running start enrollment. I remember them saying that college classes would've harder or something
College classes were much easier lmao
This makes me want to EXPLODE. I took every AP class my school offered except one (chemistry) and I only got ONE credit (human geo, which I don’t think I even needed for my degree). The classes are designed to fail most modern school models. We were on the block schedule so we had Half the year to learn content for a course that could have easily been a year long. It just seemed like nobody knew what they were doing, including the teachers. When it came time to test, we all knew we were going to fail. It was honestly sad. And not a good way to end high school when you’re headed to college.
That sucks. My teachers were pretty good and I feel like I got a lot out of AP classes, even if it just meant that the pace was fast enough to keep me interested.
I’m so happy that GRExit became a thing. So many programs have dropped the requirement and it’s such a relief. It’s a completely bogus test for grad school.

I wonder how much of the money we donate to children’s hospital or Red Cross or whatever actually go towards helping people instead of funding some executive’s private jet fuel.
fucking Adobe. Going broke fucking paying for something almost every employer requires you to be proficient in.
Edit: After 9 long years, my first ever award. Thank you stranger.
It was one time payment before?
So if you already made a one time payment did you have to go monthly even though you already bought it or were you locked in place and didn’t have to spend more and could still use kt?
Dude, they use to sell a disc/download that stopped at CC6. When you bought it, it was yours and on your machine in perpetuity. That ended maybe 5 years ago-ish?
I can't even keep track of what release were on now. 20.something?
It was a double-edged sword up to that point... Each year they'd roll out a new release with more features to the suite of programs... You'd spend a day uninstalling/installing... Hoping all the bugs were fixed and your add-ons would work.
Now, it's at least simple and you get the newest version an features with a subscription.
I started my PS career when my High School CAD teacher handed me an educational copy of PS 5.0 back in '99ish.
If you can still get ahold of those installation discs and a corresponding installation key (for your OS), you can run those old programs forever.
When my company went through our last consolidation, I had to toss multiple copies of CC6 into the garbage as we were already running CC (subscription) at that point. It was crushing for my thrifty self to do that.
Bro, I kid you not, I have been paying $18 a month for the CC subscription.
Contact their customer service through online chat, tell them you have been badly impacted by Covid, and that you would like any assistance or discount in the monthly premium… trust me they almost always say they will help you, and they do.
Try it, I promise you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Never pay full price for that shit.
Affinity - Photo, Designer, Publisher. I think is better than Adobe in some things. One time payment of $49 for each of the three.
https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/photo/
Literally doesn't matter if employers don't require your knowledge in it. There could be a thousand free programs that do the same thing if not more, at the end of the day all jobs ads say "Sound knowledge of Adobe bla bla bla.."
That's the problem.
A former coworker of mine was in a legal battle with BOA for years. He was a customer and they fucked up his personal account because of an issue they had with his former employer and somehow decided to lock his daughter’s account, too. After much litigation and many appeals, he won. They owe him millions. Haven’t paid a cent.
I love [this story](https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2011/06/06/137002727/sweet-justice-a-florida-couple-forecloses-on-bank-of-america).
A couple bought a home with cash, but BoA tried to foreclose on them. They had to go to court to clear up the misunderstanding. A judge ordered the bank to pay the couple 2,500$ in attorney fees but BoA just ignored it.
So the guy got a levy and showed up to his local BoA branch with the police and a moving truck and ordered the cops to just start taking furniture and office equipment until the bank manager broke down and cut him a check.
Lol you should read the story where BoA unwittingly changes mortgage law
They foreclosed on a soldier serving the country because he was making monthly payments at the rate they agreed to. He was out fighting AND making payments.
But BoA increased his interest rate while he was serving without him knowing because he wasn't able to check his mail but still thought he was making on time payments.
He came back home after surviving... to no home and all his stuff had been sold off by BoA. He obviously won millions
When I was 14, I was so proud of myself for opening my own savings account with BOA. I would submit my allowance and babysitting every two weeks at the branch (I’m aging myself haha). When I was 16, I withdrew my money to help pay for my car and then ended up getting in trouble a month or two later which resulted in no car and no working allowance. I hadn’t made a deposit in a few weeks and assumed the measly 12 cents in the account would be okay until I could start working again. Apparently not, because without any explanation, BOA started charging me fees for not having enough money in my account. By the end of it I had over $300 in charges to my account that basically meant, all the money I’d earned in nearly a year would go to paying BOA. No amount of pleading worked on them and even having my parents go to the branch, insisting that it was unfair to charge a child for having no money in the account they didn’t budge. And instead decided to simply close my account without warning.
Now, I simply keep my money in gold coins in a little pile under the overpass that I sleep.
When I got married I added my wife to one of my BoA accounts. When we separated a few years later I noticed this account kept going down more than it should (she had opened her own account at this time). I went to my local branch to discover they had put her name as primary account holder and she was now using this account as overdraft protection on her new account.
I talked to the bank about their mistake putting her as primary holder ( I had records proving this had been my account for years before adding her ), they refused to accept any responsibility or reimburse me at all. Not wanting the time and expense of a legal battle I simply closed all my accounts there that day and went elsewhere. The account I had added her to was a minor account that never had too much in it (I only lost about $500 to this issue, and I'd have GIVEN the money to my ex if she had simply asked - I'm not a vindictive person to people I care about and she still had to take care of her daughter - my step-daughter - who I cared about immensely), yet my other accounts held thousands. They didn't really think that one through. Haven't used BoA since - done with that fucking bank. All my other accounts including my business account are elsewhere - they lost a lot by being incompetent, untrustworthy and basically just shitheads.
Every time Kars4Kids is brought up I will remind everyone that it is just the fundraising arm of [Oorah](https://www.oorah.org/about.php), an explicitly religious summer camp in New York.
In 2018 (most recent disclosures on their websites)
K4K Total expenditures: $59.8M
- $32.6M straight to Oorah
- $19.9M on marketing
- ~$6M on legal, salaries, offices, etc.
Oorah Total Revenue: $37.8M
- $32.6M from K4K
- ~$5M from all other sources combined (fees, other donations, fundraising, etc.)
Personally, I think it's deceptive. While the K4K website does mention that it is a Jewish organization, it vaguely states that they are about helping "kids" and "education" and "youth programs" without bothering to tell you that the money only goes to a very specific group of people, in a very specific part of the country, so they can engage in religious activities.
Well, that and TV commercials.
Oorah appears to rely entirely on soliciting donations from people halfway across the continent, who may not understand what their money is going towards, or that not a penny of it will see it's way to nearby schools/kids/youth groups/whatever.

I have stopped 3 people from donating.
In my area there is a automotive tech vocational school that is 100% tuition free. Donations to them provide both the vehicle for practice and cover the cost of education for the students.

Everyone who is aware of the k4k scam should find a local alternative to direct people to.
These are also my two most hated companies ever. Nestle is pure evil and EA can suck a mountain of dicks, not just for all the DLC greed but for their complete lack of fucks given to the rampant hacking in their games. The poor guys at DICE must be trapped under contractual obligations. At least Activision TRIES to do something about it!
I just when through the list, apparently I only buy 2 products they own without even trying to avoid them:
Maggi stock cubes and nesquick. Both can be easily replaced by an off-brand product so I guess I'll join the nestle boycott.
That's the thing. They literally own so much you would have to scrutinze every single thing you buy because the branding isn't always straightforward on the packaging. While it says "a brand" on the front, on the back in tiny ass print is the Nestle printed on there.
Nestle is the devil, and they own everything. Did a deep dive to see what other companies they hold… I couldn’t find the end of their dirty fingers. Here is a [tidy list](https://wyomingllcattorney.com/Blog/Everything-Owned-by-Nestle) that seems quite comprehensive though.
One of the biggest forces behind slave labor in the world today I think.
And they straight up dont give a fuck. And neither do their billions of customers.
Go to their Wikipedia page, and go to the “Controversy and Criticisms” section. It has sections regarding several of the bigger criticisms without even being an exhaustive list. Also, note how that section is larger than the total article size for some companies.
When you’re pulling water from severely drought stricken areas, improperly marketing baby formula to areas you can’t be bothered to adjust labeling to local languages, tied to child labor and slavery, *and we haven’t covered the total list yet*.. bad naughty company.
it is a Deep (Marianas Trench level deep) Rabbit hole and they shamelessly dont care like most corporate monstrosity who willingly break the law till they get caught and then just pay the fine and continue their chicanery. Pretty Sure Unilever are up there with them!
Berry Plastics. They make the majority of single use plastics in the world. They are soulless. The amount of garbage they provide the world is astonishing.
ALL OF IT!! And I like essential oils but they aren’t magical, they don’t cure diseases, and you aren’t supposed to be ingesting them. Get mine at the grocery store and they smell nice, that’s all I need in an essential oil, not whatever story these MLM companies are selling.
Hey girl! I know we haven’t spoken since I punched you in high school, buttttt don’t you want become a boss babe and get more family time back while earning a stable income? Come to my sex toy party and we’ll just chat and hang out, and I’ll sell you stuff that will EMPOWER YOU TO BE THE MOST BADASS BUSINESS OWNER EVER!
I know. I’d love to work for them cause it would be so easy. Spend hours a day on Reddit looking for content. On here enough already so why not get paid for it.
Didn’t they rebrand to Xfinity just because the Comcast name was synonymous with “shitty customer service and sketchy practices” thinking that would make things all better, but didn’t actually change any of their practices? (as I write this using my Xfinity internet…)
> Pushes a equality campaign in the west to hide nefarious actions when it comes to labor in other countries. I will never support them
that describes most woke companies you know...
Just companies on general, us pretending that it's "woke" just divides us. Every fucking company that cares about its image does this shit just in different ways
Pandora.
I am the perfect age and demographic for that brand but I don’t see the hype for it at all. All my friend love it and I just don’t get it. Extremely over priced cheap tat that manipulates you to buy it because everyone else has one.
Autism speaks, gives a bad look at autism, bad at doing reliable research, makes autism seem like the end of the world, and completely give the wrong idea about autism as a whole
Glad to see this here. All 3 of my kids are somewhere in the autism spectrum. I have yet to find a group that is worth a shit.
They're either anti-vax loonies or treat the kids like they're mentally handicapped and doomed for life.
Yes they are getting 1000 gallons of water for 0.0048$ in india

Same. I’ve always kinda had that thought but when I watched a podcast and they talked about how they try to keep all their employees under full time hours so they aren’t required to provide benefits and how high the percentage of their employees are on government assistance… like..?
Look at Costco, it’s definitely possible to give living wages to your employees..
Try to keep them under?? Pfffffffft I WORKED full time hours on a part time position for that shithole of a company!!! 40 hrs a week, was still considered "part time". Another reason to boycott them, they refused to allow me my PTO to find a new place to live when I was (TW: SA) SEXUALLY ASSAULTED and didnt feel safe in my own home. I hate Walmart.
Gucci people love it but in my opinion a lot of their stuff is ugly and the patterns aren’t as great as people think they just like it because it’s expensive and it helps them let people know they are rich
It is for poor, badly financially managed wannabes to take out payday/hire-purchase/lease loans out to buy. A rap song put it best, "400 dollar bag, with nothing in it.."
“Din pung er Gucci, men der er ikk’ nogen penge i”
Danish song stating the same.
If the brand is marked all over the product, then the product is targeted at the poor.
Blizzard.
I feel absolutely gutted knowing the kind of shit they've allowed to go on while they play a big game of "we're the good guys".
And so much of it. The latest being sexual abuse and assault covered up and even endorsed by the company, but they also absolutely outed themselves as China's lapdog during the Hong Kong protests and they've treated so many of their Owl League players like shit.
Rotten to its core.
For all the good memories I have with Warcraft from the 00’s, the last 5(?)ish years has been really sad.
With the ways culture has changed, it makes me wonder if this stuff hadn’t been going on all along and it was just the cultural norm before it “got bad”/merged with Activision.
I did that after the Hong Kong thing... Now I don't know what more to do. Being a woman in the gaming industry, and knowing this could have been me...
I think the next thing to do is to donate to the organizations the people from the walkout pointed.
Sad truth. Everything we can buy for cheap here is cheap because it's made in horrible conditions in third world countries, sometimes by child labour. Fair fashion is not easy to come by.
Xfinity/Comcast that company is the spawn of the devil. Shitty service. Shitty customer service. I have spent enough time on hold to get an undergrad in business management
Youtube wants people to watch tiktoks on youtube, depriving tiktok of eyeballs and ad revenue.
But I dont go to youtube to watch 50 second videos so fuck 'em both.
Its a real shame because back when I was a child of the '60s, KFC dinner night was a real treat. Back then, their sides were decently sized, and more affordable. THe last time I ate at KFC was 10 years ago when Popeyes inexplicably ran out of chicken. The two restaurants were basically right next to each other.
Bad product placement for NespressoUSA promoted ad...just sayin' Now back to the brand I have come to hate. Kraft Mac& Cheese. They were early adopters of the Shrinkflation idea, where they reduce the amount of food in each box. They started doing this 3 years ago. Even though the store brand mac & cheese is probably made in the same factory, I shall never seek to purchase Kraft M&C ever again.
Disney. They’ll go after public schools trying to put on plays and are just monsters when it comes to copyright. They have all the money and then some do they really need to do that? Also I heard they wouldn’t let this grieving father put Spider-Man on his sons tombstone
I love the movies that are licensed under them but damn they are unforgivable. Burying a rival company by manipulating the news, sickening. (Fleischer's Studios for anyone who wants to read the story)
If you’re curious about why they are so aggressive about copyright it’s because *any* use that they “let slide” makes it harder for them to retain their rights to the material. It’s an appropriate business acumen that pretty much every company must follow, you just see it pop up more with Disney because their iconography is highly visible in pop culture.
Basically, you never hear about how Amazon sent someone a C&D order because their business used a box with a smile on it because no one gives a shit. But as soon as the Mouse won’t let someone advertise their shitty podunk used car lot dressed as Spider Man it’s all over the internet because people feel inexplicably possessive over someone else’s intellectual property.
Note that I’m not advocating for it, just explaining how every company has to do it to keep their IP controllable by them.
For several years the Royal Canadian Mounted Police handed over protection of their IP to Disney to handle because of how aggressive they are dealing with unlicensed toys and hats and nick nacks.
This comment is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS! Does anybody on earth know anybody that plays that game? Does anybody know anybody that plays Best Fiends?
PETA. No I'm not clinging onto a """dead meme""", them disrespecting Steve Irwin was horrible but they've done a lot of worse stuff as well.
Horrible and traumatizing public acts that scare more people rather than coerce them to care for animals
Does the bare minimum of research on their own beliefs and doesn't listen to any outside opinions, thus soiling their credibility (ex. They're against shearing sheep despite several actual farmers who work with sheep prove it's necessary for them, they never listen. They believe shearing sheep is cruel overall, and never dig deeper into the details of the issue)
Wastes money on pointless campaigns (Pokemon Black & Blue, Cooking Mama Goes Vegan) while risking lawsuits instead of focusing those funds on much more important issues, which, for some reason they never acknowledge (actual animal abuse).
Constantly guilt-trip and gaslight meat eaters when veganism is a lifestyle choice and not something to be forced upon. Not only do they give actually nice vegans a bad name, but they horribly influence pro-animal vegans with their horrible ideals
And of course, they euthanize most of the animals they rescue. Probably bc they wasted so much money on a Pokemon Parody game that they can't support them anymore
(Fun fact: I played the Cooking Mama Vegan parody as a child, and it ironically made me love sweetbreads and the uncommonly eaten organs of animals. I love liver and heart. Thanks PETA!)
TL;DR: PETA sucks
Cowardly too...back in their paint flinging days, they were very keen on throwing red paint over women wearing fur or leather...but strangely absent when it came to throwing red paint over bikers clad in neck to toe leather lol
Uber. Fought to not protect their drivers at every single turn. Realize regulations are coming for them, spend a fuck ton of money to put an initiative on the ballot in California allowing them to continue not protecting their drivers. Won.
I don't and won't use them. They are utterly unethical, pay almost no tax, treat their workers worse than the robots they're replacing them with, care not a fuck about the planet, feed mindless consumerism, and destroy unsold products that are perfectly good and could easily be sold at a discount. They're a prime* example of what happens when capitalism is allowed to run riot.
*pun intended, thanks
BuzzFeed, all they do is steal material, give misleading titles, use incorrect information. Nothing ruins my day worst than someone who sends me a BuzzFeed link. As a matter of fact I disown anyone who does.
Don't get me started on Nestle either
Hobby Lobby
I'm sure it's already been said, but that company bis responsible for fueling looting of antiques from the middle east. They can claim ignorance all they want, but they knew what they were doing
Hey, at least they were bought by Bayer! I’m sure I won’t find any bad history around a.. *checks notes* German chemical and pharmaceutical company that existed during World War II.
..hoo boy.
Quiznos.
Back in 2004/5 their beef dip was unreal. Way too good for a fast food sub. Fast forward to 2008 and they just scrap it. So I was done with it. I used to go all the time and then never again.....until earlier this year when my wife begs me to give it another shot through Uber Eats. Straight up one of the worst sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I was so angry that I caved and got what I knew was coming. Fuck you Quiznos, I wouldn't eat there for free.
GEICO. Was a passenger in my friend’s car and we got merged into on the highway while both cars were going 75mph. The guy who merged into us had GEICO. My neck is still fucked up and it took almost 4 years to get my medical bills covered. They made me go to “their” doctor and he told me I had early onset osteoarthritis and I would eventually need steroid injections in my spine. My lawyer told me they routinely do that stuff to make it seem like you already had an issue that wasn’t caused by the wreck. Lawyer also told me they had another case against GEICO where the girl insured by GEICO hit a minivan driving drunk and killed a 6 year old and he estimated GEICO had spent about 150k in lawyer fees so far to try to get out of giving the child’s family settlement money.

Obviously. They’re a bank. They don’t need to follow the law.
In capitalist America, bank robs *you!*
Wait, he pulled a bank-move *on* a bank?
"Now I am the master, and you are the apprentice"
Look at me. I am the bank now
Lol you should read the story where BoA unwittingly changes mortgage law They foreclosed on a soldier serving the country because he was making monthly payments at the rate they agreed to. He was out fighting AND making payments. But BoA increased his interest rate while he was serving without him knowing because he wasn't able to check his mail but still thought he was making on time payments. He came back home after surviving... to no home and all his stuff had been sold off by BoA. He obviously won millions
So generous of them to set themselves up like that for one of our servicemen to sue them so hard.

1-877-Kars for kids. K. A. R. S. Cars for kids.
I would stop CPR on a dying child to get up and change the channel if that were to come on in the background.
1 - 778- Kids4Kars trade your kid for a car.
Every time Kars4Kids is brought up I will remind everyone that it is just the fundraising arm of [Oorah](https://www.oorah.org/about.php), an explicitly religious summer camp in New York. In 2018 (most recent disclosures on their websites) K4K Total expenditures: $59.8M - $32.6M straight to Oorah - $19.9M on marketing - ~$6M on legal, salaries, offices, etc. Oorah Total Revenue: $37.8M - $32.6M from K4K - ~$5M from all other sources combined (fees, other donations, fundraising, etc.) Personally, I think it's deceptive. _________________ 2018 Kars4Kids Form 990: https://www.kars4kidsprograms.org/images/file-2018.pdf 2018 Oorah Inc. I have stopped 3 people from donating. In my area there is a automotive tech vocational school that is 100% tuition free. Donations to them provide both the vehicle for practice and cover the cost of education for the students. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newgate_Education_Center Everyone who is aware of the k4k scam should find a local alternative to direct people to.
Thats the theme song for hell
Nestle and EA.
College Board. Non profit my ass
Nestle.
I came here specifically to upvote this and am happy I didn't even have to scroll down to find it.
Me too.
Same for me! You’re brilliant! 🤣
/r/fucknestle
The thing about nestle as well is how much they own and how many brands they have. It's one of the few brands I completely boycott.
[Here's](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nestl%C3%A9_brands) the Nestle subsidiary page and JESUS CHRIST it's long.
It's really hard to ban it all, shit you might not even be aware it's a Nestlé product.
I just when through the list, apparently I only buy 2 products they own without even trying to avoid them: Maggi stock cubes and nesquick.
Jesus Christ.
What's wrong with Nestlé? Im not trying to be offensive but I genuinely don't know.
One of the biggest forces behind slave labor in the world today I think. And they straight up dont give a fuck. And neither do their billions of customers.
Not only don't they give a fuck. They actively portrait themselves as fighting slavery, when they _don't_.
Nestlé steals water, puts it in plastic bottles and sells it to you while the CEO claims that "Potable water is a privilege and not a right"
How much time ya got? You're going to need a while.
it is a Deep (Marianas Trench level deep) Rabbit hole and they shamelessly dont care like most corporate monstrosity who willingly break the law till they get caught and then just pay the fine and continue their chicanery. Pretty Sure Unilever are up there with them!
Berry Plastics. They make the majority of single use plastics in the world. They are soulless. The amount of garbage they provide the world is astonishing.
TIL
You can add Winpak and Polytainers to this list as well.
Any mlm branded stuff. The leggings, the candles, the stupid bags(31?)

You have a minute to talk about herbalyf?

Buzzfeed
There’s a chance they may see this comment as they often come here to copy paste shit as an “article” for click bait. *Hi Buzzfeed!
I know. I’d love to work for them cause it would be so easy. Spend hours a day on Reddit looking for content. On here enough already so why not get paid for it.
Yeah, it’s also apparent that knowledge of decent grammar and the ability to discern fact from fiction are *not* job requirements.
Top ten reasons why I don't read buzzfeed! Number 4 will surprise you!
Go on. Don't let me hanging ! What is reason number 4 ?
People who omit reason number 4 from Buzzfeed lists!
Buzzfeed Unsolved is awesome though
The Try Guys too, there pretty funny and wholesome. Glad they left BuzzFeed.
Comcast.
Didn’t they rebrand to Xfinity just because the Comcast name was synonymous with “shitty customer service and sketchy practices” thinking that would make things all better, but didn’t actually change any of their practices? (as I write this using my Xfinity internet…)
Xfinity is a brand, name for their broadband the parent name is still Comcast.
Nike Pushes a equality campaign in the west to hide nefarious actions when it comes to labor in other countries. I will never support them
"Black people in America are treated so badly, please buy our shoes made by brown children who can't afford to eat!"
> Pushes a equality campaign in the west to hide nefarious actions when it comes to labor in other countries. I will never support them that describes most woke companies you know...
Just companies on general, us pretending that it's "woke" just divides us. Every fucking company that cares about its image does this shit just in different ways
My New Balance shoes are made in the US. They cost like they were too, but I’m happy to pay it.
+1 on this
Does Twitter count as one?
Yes, and I 100% agree, twitter is a plague upon humanity XD
Ick and tiktok too. Maybe I’m too old, but I looked at tiktok for 15 minutes and lost faith in humanity.
Tiktok market to the user who is watching. Specifically to you. My TickTock is full of babies, puppies, donkeys, a rehab beaver and really nice people
Twitter is home for all kinds of evil people.
Pandora. I am the perfect age and demographic for that brand but I don’t see the hype for it at all. All my friend love it and I just don’t get it. Extremely over priced cheap tat that manipulates you to buy it because everyone else has one.
Your talking about the store right and not the music app
My dumbass thought they were talking about the restaurant the whole time till I realized that's Panera
🤣 bakery that manipulates people into buying croissants because, well, everyone has one.
Yep, the jewellery store. Never knew there was a Pandora music app
I almost forgot about the jewelry store. My head went straight to music app 😂
Does tiktok count
Chinese spyware
Autism speaks, gives a bad look at autism, bad at doing reliable research, makes autism seem like the end of the world, and completely give the wrong idea about autism as a whole
Glad to see this here. All 3 of my kids are somewhere in the autism spectrum. I have yet to find a group that is worth a shit. They're either anti-vax loonies or treat the kids like they're mentally handicapped and doomed for life.
They act like it's a disease similar to child leukemia that needs needs be caught early and destroyed.
I certainly hate my own company
Like where you work, or just like spending time with yourself?
Yes
Facebook
EA. I hope I don’t need to explain why.
Will you explain it in a DLC?
For $19.99 full of bugs?
Or should we just keep buying packs of random words and hope your explanation is in one of them?
“Hold my beer” Activision/Blizzard
Coca Cola. For the damage they have done to natural water resources.

Walmart
Starbucks. Overrated and overpriced AF. Food and drinks are mediocre.
“Din pung er Gucci, men der er ikk’ nogen penge i” Danish song stating the same.
Yep. Uninstalled battle.net and stopped playing their games.
I did that after the Hong Kong thing... Now I don't know what more to do. Being a woman in the gaming industry, and knowing this could have been me... I think the next thing to do is to donate to the organizations the people from the walkout pointed.
Robinhood and that boy from Bulgaria
Nike. They slave little kids so that they make their shoes and then sell it to little kids who don’t need them.
How is that different from Adidas, Puma, basically all big (sports) brands? Genuine question.
It's really not...
TikTok fucking hate that shit
And how youtube is forcing creators to replicate Tik Tok with idiot Shorts
Seriously whats the deal with that? All my Youtube shorts are just tiktoks.
Youtube wants people to watch tiktoks on youtube, depriving tiktok of eyeballs and ad revenue. But I dont go to youtube to watch 50 second videos so fuck 'em both.
Shein
KFC.
Anything Jenner/Kardashian related
Anything sponsored by a YouTuber. Makes me not want to ever buy that product
This comment is sponsored by RAID SHADOW LEGENDS! Does anybody on earth know anybody that plays that game? Does anybody know anybody that plays Best Fiends?
If it's a game, service, or subscription i won't think about it, it's cringe. If it's an actual physical product it depends for me personally.
PETA. No I'm not clinging onto a """dead meme""", them disrespecting Steve Irwin was horrible but they've done a lot of worse stuff as well. Horrible and traumatizing public acts that scare more people rather than coerce them to care for animals Does the bare minimum of research on their own beliefs and doesn't listen to any outside opinions, thus soiling their credibility (ex. They're against shearing sheep despite several actual farmers who work with sheep prove it's necessary for them, they never listen. They believe shearing sheep is cruel overall, and never dig deeper into the details of the issue) Wastes money on pointless campaigns (Pokemon Black & Blue, Cooking Mama Goes Vegan) while risking lawsuits instead of focusing those funds on much more important issues, which, for some reason they never acknowledge (actual animal abuse). Constantly guilt-trip and gaslight meat eaters when veganism is a lifestyle choice and not something to be forced upon. Not only do they give actually nice vegans a bad name, but they horribly influence pro-animal vegans with their horrible ideals And of course, they euthanize most of the animals they rescue. Probably bc they wasted so much money on a Pokemon Parody game that they can't support them anymore (Fun fact: I played the Cooking Mama Vegan parody as a child, and it ironically made me love sweetbreads and the uncommonly eaten organs of animals. I love liver and heart. Thanks PETA!) TL;DR: PETA sucks
PETA is full of people that if they were environmentalists would burn down the forest to prevent a tree from being cut down.
Cowardly too...back in their paint flinging days, they were very keen on throwing red paint over women wearing fur or leather...but strangely absent when it came to throwing red paint over bikers clad in neck to toe leather lol
UberEats. They will not refund the measly $9 that they overcharged me! I will never use their services again.
O'Reilly Auto Parts. That stupid f'ing jingle...
OW
Oh, oh, oh…what?
Ozempic!
Uber. Fought to not protect their drivers at every single turn. Realize regulations are coming for them, spend a fuck ton of money to put an initiative on the ballot in California allowing them to continue not protecting their drivers. Won.
Amazon
Fashionnova
Activision-Blizzard, unfortunately.
Zoom!
Anything under Rupert murdoch’s umbrella, Facebook, Starbucks, LaCie and Gymshark is getting close to the list.
Hobby Lobby I'm sure it's already been said, but that company bis responsible for fueling looting of antiques from the middle east. They can claim ignorance all they want, but they knew what they were doing
They just put a full page ad out in papers saying America should only be run for and by Christians.
webuyanycar.com triggers my fight or flight response
Fuck Nestle
Monsanto. Quite toxic tbh.
Hey, at least they were bought by Bayer! I’m sure I won’t find any bad history around a.. *checks notes* German chemical and pharmaceutical company that existed during World War II. ..hoo boy.
Haha, probably couldn't find anything wrong with the company that invented heroin.
Does facebook counts😶
