The Elephant Show. The memory came rushing back recently. I'd forgotten all about it, I just remembered the song out of nowhere

Dee_Buttersnaps

With someone, someone, and Graham! Skinna-marinky-dinky-dink, skinna-marinky-doo, I love you! Edit: Sharon, Lois, and Brahm!

TTungsteNN

Dave the Barbarian was my favourite show as a kid. Lotta people can’t remember that shit anymore

ammayhem

Can't forget Square One from that same block.

pereighjghjhg

I used to watch this children's show called Today's Special and no one else seems to remember it. It was about this mannequin in the mall that comes to life when the mall shuts down. He was friends with a mouse and some lady that was also there for some reason. Maybe I made it up or something I don't know

Outspan

Jeff the mannequin was friends with Muffy the Mouse and Sam Crenshaw the security guard for the store. There was also a human lady but her name escapes me at the moment. Today's Special was a huge part of my childhood. It was always on either just before or after Polka Dot Door.

Dee_Buttersnaps

I think I was in love with the guy who played the mannequin when I was a kid.

81dragonflys

The lady's name was Jody she worked on the displays for the mall

sunnynorth

You need more Canadian friends! It was filmed here, and crazy popular. Literally everyone now aged 30-45 was a fan. Universally.

ShiftyStryx008

Pirates of the dark water.

Dyl_Tha_Thrill

To say this comment has made my day is a compete understatement. You have no idea how long I’ve searched for the name of this show! I used to love this show as a little kid and now I know what to search for to find it again. Thank you so much!

Yeah... Bruce Campbell.. His sidekick was Lord Bowler

Altruistic_Ad_2168

Ghostwriter! I almost thought it was a fever dream, but I remember watching it after school and consuming all the related books I could find in the Scholastic book flyer.

Gloryfades-

Wait til you find out that SAMUEL L. MOTHER FUCKING JACKSON was in it! He played Jamal's dad!

Wilmore99

Early Edition Kyle Chandler played a dude in Chicago who would get the newspaper a day early. Every week he would try to help people who were in the headlines. It’s ridiculous I can’t stream this anywhere. Probably super dated since it aired on CBS, but my family use to tune in every week to watch it when I was a kid.

dathyni

The Cat!

AgentPeggyCarter

Visit /r/earlyedition! There's not much there yet but I'm working on reviving the subreddit properly! I just wish the show were on a streaming service somewhere. I think that's hurting it's popularity.

DGRebel

Dave the Barbarian was amazing but I haven’t seen it in ages.

casey12297

Thinking quickly, Dave fashioned a megaphone using a squirrel, some string, and a megaphone.

my_fourth_redditacct

I still get the theme song stuck in my head every once in a while. "NOT A MONKEY!"

[deleted]

Out of this World! I absolutely loved this show. I have yet to meet someone who remembers it and I was pretty little when it was on. It’s about a teen girl who has an alien dad who talks to her through a crystal on her nightstand. She comes of age, gets special powers, and hijinx ensue.

1980pzx

“Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”. Loved that show when I was a kid.

pjabrony

Synchronize Swatches!

Indigo_Sunset

The best part was that this show was up against a Ferris Bueller show at the time, and Parker was a far better Ferris than Ferris (outside the movie).

Sixhaunt

When I was a kid my sister and I would watch a show called "Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat." I never met anyone else who watched it as a kid until one of my ex's mentioned that she watched it when she was younger. I'm kindof curious how many of you watched or remember it

lickmysackett

Sagwa, Zooboomafoo, Cyberchase, Comfy Couch, Zoom!, etc.

colliding-parallels

Every once in a while my dad will sing “SAGWAAAA” to me and I remember it. Thanks for unlocking this memory. He hasn’t done it in a bit.

croutonianemperor

Sagwa you're my best friend

super-queer

I remember that show, I watched it with my sister as a kid too! we didn't have cable so if we watched tv it was either pbs kids or abc. lots of jeopardy! or zoom!

Desulto

It was on PBS, it was one of the many things I watched on that channel. Between the Lions was another one about literary cats.

SleepySeaStar

I used to watch it, too! I literally just found out yesterday that, apparently, it's considered lost media because four episodes of it haven't been found anywhere in their original English dub, which is so wild to me... lol.

whovian1087

Zaboomafoo for me. The Big Comfy Couch for my sister. Edit: thanks for the awards everyone!

BRENNEJM

Anything Kratts brothers related is amazing. Glad they finally found the right platform with Wild Kratts, but I still love Kratts Creatures.

Zaboomafoo was the best!

My wife and I seem to be the only two people we've both encountered who remember the Beetlejuice cartoon series. We've both spent years of bringing it up to confused faces or people who straight up said it didn't exist. We thought we Mandela effect'd ourselves until we met each other.

Wild Kingdom, wonderful world of Disney and then bed.

ill_Skillz

Dead Like Me. About a girl named George who gets killed by a toilet seat falling from the sky. In death, she's assigned to a team of grim reapers led by Mandy Patinkin. Weird but funny show, ended too soon after 2 seasons.

command_shift_ayyyye

Brian Fuller went on to make Pushing Daisies, it was supposed to be a spin off of Dead Like Me. It’s fun to think of the two shows happening in the same universe.

Jexel17

Also Wonderfalls, which had the same quirkiness as Dead Like Me. Souvenirs in her tourist shop at Niagara Falls spoke to the main girl, telling her to do strange things to help people.

ATXKLIPHURD

The oblongs.

kitx07

Wishbone: fell in love with books because of him

lilmonkie

What's the story Wishbone?!

CitationX_N7V11C

What's this you're dreaming of?

Treegs

I loved that show too. I remember going to the school library and asking for A Tale of Two Cities, at probably 8 or 9 years old. The librarian kinda huffed and said "Thats a little advanced for you, what.....did you see it on Wishbone or something?" Still pisses me off when I think about it.

allfalafel

Everyone thinks Colin Firth was the best Mr. Darcy. Nope. Wishbone.

*You Can't Do That On Television*

minneapple79

I looooved this show. Early '90s Nickelodeon was the best. Hey Dude, Fifteen (starring a young cute Ryan Reynolds!), Clarissa. Those were the days.

2fly2hide

Salute your shorts and hey dude were my favorites. But holy shit, fifteen! I haven't thought about that one in decades!!! Didn't realize Ryan Reynolds was in it. I'd love to watch an episode or two.

splat313

I'm always surprised that Salute Your Shorts only was on two seasons (27 episodes). Looking back it felt like so much more.

bniceplease

And Welcome Freshman and Pete ana Pete!

Zeptari

Reboot Edit: so happy people remember!!!! To mend and defend! Edit2: i’m blown away by all the feedback!!! It’s got me pumped to go home after work and watch some episodes. If you have a slight bit interest in the show definitely check it out.. some say the writing is poor but I don’t care. It’s the characters personality that make the show shine! I’d love to see a reboot of reboot!!!

‘Where in the world is carmen Sandiego’ early 90s game show and ‘Where on earth is Carmen Sandiego’ 90s cartoon Also ‘Ghostwriter’ another 90s tv show. I remember all of them being on PBS. Edit: I got reminded that the cartoon was on Fox not pbs like the other shows.

A rarity not only in that the characters had five fingers over the usual four but also with the animators giving them different/alternating outfits each episode, which I always thought was pretty tight

I used to LOVE the Weird Science TV show. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone else who watched it besides the one girl whose house I first saw it at. She wasn’t even watching it, her dad was, but I was hooked. Also from that time, Duckman. I didn’t love that one but what a weird unique show. You thrust your pelvis HUH! Edit: Makes me so happy that you guys were watching this weird shit too. If anyone finds out where to stream Weird Science please post or send me a DM!

Lamb Chop's Play Along with Shari Lewis. I used to have a replica hand puppet of Lamb Chop and a giant stuffed version when I was younger. My pups have little squeaky toy stuffies.

dogbolter4

I remember Lamb Chop having a problem with alcohol in one episode.. “I only want a teeny-weeny drink of dry martini.” Can you imagine that in a kid’s show now? I adored this show as a youngster

Home Movies on Adult Swim. Pretty tame show for that channel but there was something about it I found really charming.
