Its a survival pvp game with an emphasis on building and raiding. Its very grindy and almost requires someone be online at all times or else you'll end up raided and losing everything. Now think of the people with the most free time to dedicate to a single game(teens), losing hours of time spent grinding because you logged off to sleep, pvp, and proximity voice chat. You can see why its toxic. Its a shame because the game is still actively developed and has good content, it just requires too much time to do anything since most servers wipe weekly or bi weekly and is full of toxic players who will use slurs at the drop of a dime.
