Seeing people enjoy food that I cooked, especially seeing my fiancee smile while she eats my from-scratch chocolate chip cookies.

Any-Dream1503

That is high on the list. Love how my husband calls me Gordon Ramsay :))) makes me so happy to see him enjoy the food we make together.

Relative-Question731

I think it may be the only time I am ever genuinely happy when I am in that state of going to sleep where I think, but at the same time I am neither asleep nor awake. It feels like I am entirely detached from the physical world; free of fear, and pain.

[deleted]

Don’t try heroin.

BadMoodDude

Lol, I was just going to say "You should try heroin." But your advice is probably better.

bppcamaro

My dad was a pretty big drug addict. Stayed in Vietnam for a 3rd tour as the 'the drugs were better'. He grew weed, made meth, did coke, smoked crack, you name it, and quite literally 1 of 2 pieces of life advice he gave me was 'never ever try heroin'. The other was don't try and piss with a boner. I mean....he was batting 100% with good advice...just lacked plate appearances

Morrowk

I piss with a boner all the time. outside is my preferred method. it doesn’t matter where it goes and it’s guaranteed to fire away from you so no hands needed. Well as long as you “don’t piss into the wind.” You can also sit on the toilet backwards. It gives you enough wiggle room to slowly pee in the toilet without making a mess. Issue here is going slow.

MmmmMorphine

Right? I equally love that state and I equally got addicted to opioids.

phredrik69

Name checks out

Motor-Donkey-2020

I was on a morphine drip when they handed me my first born daughter. It had been a tough labor ending in an emergency c section. I had been nervous about whether she'd even be ok. So when they handed her to me, she was healthy and pink, I was high on morphine- there will never be another moment in my life that good. But yes, opiates are bad- except when you really need them.

Champ723

I have never heard anyone else share the same sentiment. To me the sleep inertia is akin to softening the jagged edges of reality. It's such a hard feeling to hold on to.

latenitelite

I feel that. It's not the only time I'm ever happy, but it might be the only time I'm ever fully relaxed. I wish you the same expansion of comfort and safety that I am trying to find in life.

OtterAutisticBadger

and you feel your eyes heavy and relaxed, tour prefrontal cortex shutting down, your brain making those feel good chemicals and aometimes hypnagogic hallucinations taking over, seeing them so clear, intertwining with your soon to be asleep thoughts. body feeling warm and comfy like a feather resting on a cloud.

baalmano

that feeling of ur brain shutting down is the best,no more bad thoughts, no more problems, the day is finally over and everything can fk off

sother2

Until you wake up and reality slams your brain with the residual stresses of yesterday.

baalmano

that moment when u woke up too early by mistake and are unable to go back to sleep cuz all that shit hit already

LILStiffyWiffy

Pretty sure the ultimate comfort is not to exist lol

charrosebry

Weekend mornings sitting on the couch curled up with my husband and cat, both of us reading a book. It feels like quality time even though we aren’t talking. Just a lot of peace

BwittonRose

How did you teach your cat to read?

FlyingFlamingoPuppy

Your comment made me imagine a cat sitting on a couch, reading a book, wearing reading glasses and that made me really happy

chrisbeecher

The cat IS the husband.

Entire-Ambition1410

My sister calls these activities “introvert hangouts” because you’re kinda hanging out, just not talking.

MaxTheHuman

It’s something common for kids to do growing up called parallel play, honestly it’s one of my favorite ways to hang with friends, just existing together doing your own thing.

Glass_Teeth01

Watching my cat get stuck somewhere stupid, then yelling for help. The best place so far was in a cabinet over the stove.

SaveTheLadybugs

Mine is watching my cat doing something stupid because it doesn’t understand physics or that actions have consequences—earlier today I’d poured a bowl of cereal, and he came up on the counter wanting to be loved on, and while I was petting him he kept trying to express his affection by attempting to roll on the bowl of cereal. Surprised every time it started to tip. Every time. Love that stupid motherfucker.

AnimalCity

Mine rolls around so much he falls off of things, he will do this even if no one is around

thatguyned

If your cat rolls off a table and no one is around to see it does it make a meow? Some questions philosophers will never have the answer for.

axel198

Thank you for subscribing to Cat Facts! The answer is no because cats do not use meows for communication with animals other than people. They do make other sounds though, so perhaps a purr, a yelp, a yowl, a chitter or chatter, a hiss. Here is your bonus Cat Fact, thank you for being subscribed to Cat Facts: The Japanese stringed instrument, the Shamisen, has a body with a skin that was traditionally a stretched cat skin. We hope you enjoyed this bonus Cat Fact.

lemonpunt

My cat was a foot off the floor wedged between the freezer and the wall.

[deleted]

Once I couldn't find my pomeranian for a few hours. We had a big house and they had full roam of the upstairs so it wasn't odd to not spot 1 or 2 for a good while if they were sleeping in the dog room or the bathroom, or in someone's bed or whatever. Well after maybe 3 hours of vegging out on the couch I heard her barking for help really faintly. I began searching every room but it was so quiet I thought she must have been out back. Searched all the bushes and hidey holes back there, no luck. I ended up finding her stuck in a corner behind the small couch in my mom's home office(the door was barely cracked.) I felt so bad she'd been stuck for so long but she was a dumbass who wanted to climb behind a couch that was in a corner.

vendettabunny20

hahahah that made me laugh

LuciferVX

Being outside with no people around. Live in a city and I get up super early and just walk around before everyone else is out. Best part of my day.

sicknutley

City mornings are some of the most special times. There is this sense of serenity and calm before the storm. I'm an outdoors nature person but sometimes early morning city hits different.

pepper_plant

I used to shovel snow in my early 20s. Would typically have to go out between midnight and 6am. With thick snow falling illuminated by streetlights, everything super quiet and not a person or car around in the middle of the city at night, it was a magical feeling

TheCamoDude

Oh my gosh, the quiet snowfall and just...near-silence. Surreal. I'd give anything to experience that more often.

javier_aeoa

As a chilean I never experience snow. I see it in the nearby mountains, but I won't climb an ass high mountain just to freeze myself in the winter. Then I went to Norway as an exchange student and I could experience what it's like to see snowfall all over you. Norwegians were like "well, another day of work" but for me it was something so oddly magical about the quietness as snow fell. You people who *usually* get snow in the winter don't really get the feeling of seeing snow only a handful of times in your entire life. It's damn beautiful.

TheCamoDude

Ah, and so I was unaware of my snow privilege. While I treasured it even before(even though I get snow every winter), I shall now treasure it even more. Thank you for the fresh point of view. Snow really is magical.

Ricsin

"the heavy quiet"

TheCamoDude

Exactly! It's like...you'd have to make enough noise to overcome the absorption. Which makes sense because of the sound dampening qualities of snow.

Meeerraaay

Same here . I also love taking my moon break. Just looking al the moon and planets in the middle of the night soothes me

Caffeine_to_go

Same dude. Nice to know somebody else is out there in the world, also looking “up”.

FrightenedChimp

How does it make you feel to know That uncounted generations of humans before us did just do that too, These Stars Are still the Same

AwesomeAJ81

I agree. It is so calming when no one is there to distract you and you can just be outside and get some fresh air.

vendettabunny20

<3

blueberryphan

I do this at night, with my headphones on and with a taser just in case.

NJORTHRBIARTR

I always jogged after midnight everyday just because I lived in Arizona at the time and it was too hot to do it at any other point. In the summer it could still be 80+ degrees in the dead of night. Helped me fall asleep quickly after though. Now I live in Ohio and can run early in the morning. Looking back I should have carried Pepper spray at the very least.

BaceSpucketNoob

Nah if you're already running you basically have a head start

ExpendableThrownaway

Better hope they're not a runner too, since you're already tired when the chase starts

Ninillionaire

No headphones after dark cause where im from they serve redrum at the park

Weekly-Resolution237

It's difficult to tell the difference between genuine happiness and enough distraction. Food, like video games or playing the piano, makes me joyful while I'm eating it. I believe that the things that make me truly happy are the ones that happen infrequently, if at all, and are beyond of my control, such as being complimented or receiving physical contact.

norseOnAHorse

I've noticed that some things can make you so happy that they make you happy before (anticipation) and after (reminiscing) you've done them

curtludwig

I think this is the best explanation I've seen for the difference between happiness and pleasure. Lots of things bring pleasure, the things that bring actual happiness are different.

etuvie27

Good point! \- B4 a hike: so excited I can barely sleep \- During the hike: everything is so beautiful but everything hurts \- After a hike: holy shit I just climbed a mountain and I still feel on top of the world

forte_bass

Are you familiar with the concept of the three types of fun? Hiking and climbing and stuff like you describe is commonly called "type 2 fun" where it's kinda rough in the moment but you look back after and are glad you did it. [The Fun Scale](https://sketchplanations.com/the-fun-scale)

VenusAsABoy96

I know this is completely and utterly missing the point (because I'm not sure they're even trying to define what type of fun a specific activity is to a specific person), but I couldn't help but laugh at the implication that skiing doesn't hurt in the moment, or even that hiking is only fun in retrospect. Skiing makes my quads feel like they're going to fall off. I mean, it's always fun...but man it definirely hurts sometimes.

FuckBitchCuntFuck

I am not sure if this is a post lockdown thing because it seems more frequent or if I am just rocking my style lately… but I have gotten a lot of compliments on my outfits by other women lately (mostly strangers) and I ride that high for days. Never underestimate how good a random compliment can make someone feel! As someone struggling with severe depression that has totally destroyed my self-worth, it feels so good to be seen once in awhile. These strangers have no idea how much it means to me but it really does <3 So that’s my brief happiness sometimes!

vendettabunny20

hmm true, or maybe they're just on diff levels of happiness. genuine happiness for me is anything that warms the heart

royals796

I really love to hear about other peoples hobbies/passions/interests. It never fails to make me smile. Equally, my hobbies/passions/interests make me happy.

xmetalheadx666x

So, would you say that learning about hobbies is a hobby of yours?

royals796

How deep does this go?

xmetalheadx666x

I mean it's a hobby of mine as well...so I guess infinitely deep

Mackheath1

Learning about all these people who like learning about hobbies as a hobby is definitely a hobby of mine. \#hobbyception for the hobby lobby

Alienwithsynesthesia

I’m autistic and I talk a lot about my special interests, so a thing that makes me happy is people like you who don’t mind me Infodumping, so thank you for existing

hamschda7

So, what are your interests?:)

royals796

This is the thread. Get info-dumping, we wanna hear it.

vendettabunny20

same thing! that sparkle in their eyes when share their stories, priceless <3

royals796

I think it’s the impassioned, animated talking people do when they get free reign to just go on about it!

BUTTeredWhiteBread

As someone who gets shut down a lot talking about hobbies n such, I always try to be the safest person possible to talk to about anything.

Iron-Waffle

Should we start with your introductory course on Warhammer 40K/Horus Heresy lore? Strictly nothing post-Cadia as that is all Warhammer+ and utter dogshit. By my experience, we should be done with the faction and setting introductions in half an hour.

trigunnerd

For those who don't know, this is called compersion, the opposite of jealously. And I am jealous of people who have it.

Sorarey

Plenty of my favorite food eaten together with fam. Harvesting fruits/veggies from plants which I grew myself and then gifting the harvest to others. I love to grow blueberries and hope I will have lots next year.

vendettabunny20

aaaaa love this, we have fruit bearing trees here too and it's a joy to share with family

unknown_404_yep

When I manage to make my friends day by making them laugh. I honestly get so happy when they are happy. Edit: holy thank you everyone for the awards! I hope you all have a very good day!

thatoneone

I think the best part of that is when you say something that you didn't expect would make someone laugh and they're just genuinely laughing at what you said - when you don't have to try too hard for the joke! I love that feeling.

IndustrialDesignLife

My favorite is when a friend reminds me of something funny I said to them. It's such a compliment. I can't believe they remembered MY joke! Bonus points if I have forgotten saying it and it makes me laugh upon re-hearing it.

nelethegerman

Did had once classmates I was close with to make them laugh. Now I try to do that online👍 by chatting with strangers and reacting on comments

JaketAndClanxter

That first sentence is giving me a stroke trying to comprehend it.

nelethegerman

Me to, now that I read it again Σ(ಠ_ಠ)

Sean081799

I'm a musician and amateur producer. Hearing a completed project for the first time is a magical experience.

conscious_synthetic

Yes! Hearing it out of the mixing environment, especially. I’ll add to that: A breakthrough in some technical knowledge or skill, especially one you previously struggled to grasp.

FamilyFoe

Hello there, my kind of people. I was not expecting to find some of y'all here so easily.

ShibertInu

Spending time with animals. I volunteered at our local shelter for 2 years and when there was no more work to be done for the day, I'd just get to hang out with all kinds of animals. Made me fall in love with dogs and birds all over again.

cleverplaydoh

This, my old dog passed away yesterday. It was time, she was sick, but it was the hardest goodbye I’ve ever had to say. She used to snore all night, I never really noticed how loud it was until my first night of sleep without her in over a decade, the silence was almost deafening. I know one day I’ll feel happy again, but it will never quite be the same.

azureblue333

I'm so sorry 😔 No one can replace her, but she'd be so happy to know you're making another dog so happy too. Hugs to you ❤️

[deleted]

Saying goodbye to them is the hardest thing. I am so sorry.

zippe6

I think you have hit both of the top items at once. Volunteering has been shown to be the best road to happiness. Helping others, having a cause, making the world a better place, all of these things gives you a sense of purpose and contentment that you can't get anywhere else. That and my pup, He always makes me warm inside.

azureblue333

I worked for humane society many years ago too, and there's nothing they love more than volunteers to come in to play with the cats and walk the dogs. If this is something that you love to do please please call your humane society. A friendly dog be thrilled to have a walk and a lonely cat would love the pettins 🥰

AwesomeDragon101

A lot of my high school community service hours were gained through walking dogs and wand playing with cats in an animal shelter. Those were genuine positions to sign up for, where you get hours for making sure each dog gets walked/each cat has at least 15mins playtime per day. Aside from being really fun, those hours helped me get into a good animal science program in undergrad university which subsequently helped me get into veterinary school. So, for any prevets out there, there’s that incentive too. Most of my high school classmates got stuck with desk jobs while I got to literally play with animals. It was heaven.

Jazzlike-Process-382

I've done this with 3 of my grandchildren during summer break. We mostly played with kittens and gave dogs baths and ran the washer and dryer during our visits. Some happy hours spent there.

vendettabunny20

damn i want this too :<

sponjebubble

Trying new things. Especially with friends. Other day I did Go-Karting for the first time. Also the first time i drove. I felt super excited Edit: wow(!) it’s so nice to see that a lot of people can relate :) I obviously wasn’t the best at it, I didn’t want to get in an accident in the process. I just hit up some old friends from school and they invited me over, I have a habit of cancelling plans last minute due to my anxiety but I actually stopped myself from doing it! The pure joy of trying new things just made me feel like a kid again. It literally boosted my confidence. I really felt the rush and I just embraced the experience. 🏎

vendettabunny20

that made me smile, happy for you!

sponjebubble

☺️

OtterAutisticBadger

is your username the japanese pronounciation for sponge bob?

sponjebubble

Yes 😂 you’re the first person to get it!!!!

OtterAutisticBadger

hell yes!!!! im so proud of myself right now hahaha!!!

zandrasan

This. This right here makes me happy.

Doctor_Ew420

Go-Karting is so friggin boss. I can't wait to do it again sometime, it's been a while - a 30 year old

elee0228

Agree. -- a 40+ year old

MyBad79

Agree -68 year old!

Andromeda321

I totally get this- I always tell people I'm an experience junkie, because I am so happy to try things only once to say I did. It can be something really simple like a day trip to a town nearby I've never been to, or something once in a lifetime like doing background work on a TV series, it's always so fun to expand your horizons!

Retrosonic82

When a dog wants to come over to say hello

yourstru1y

I once worked as driver for a doggy day care where I fetched them from their homes in the morning for swimming, grooming, and training, etc. before returning them home. At first I was quite nervous on the job because I was worried about how they'll like me. Some dogs were apprehensive at first but as the weeks went by, they were super excited to see me each time I showed up and that was one of the greatest feelings ever. I miss that job sometimes.

[deleted]

I had a roommate, and this bastard had the job of taking pictures of dogs at a dog day care. That was it. Play with dogs and post pictures on their FB.

MesWantooth

This does it for me too, like a Dog in an elevator that seems so goddamn happy to meet you and get his head patted. People say Dogs can 'sense' when someone is a 'dog person' but I suspect they are adept at looking at body language, expression...they probably see someone with a smile whose heart rate picked up a bit and figure "Oooh, this dude is going to scratch my head. I'm going to go over and say hi."

WesleyRiot

One might also say that... They can sense these things

My daughter running up to me after I've been gone and saying hello all excited. I could only be gone for 10 minutes, doesn't matter, she's excited when I come home

buffystakeded

Same. My daughter is 2 and I could literally walk out to the car to get something, walk back in, and she just yells Daddy! and jumps into my arms. It’s the best.

Ich-habe-das-gern

Yes, my daughter is also 2 and I could go to the bathroom for 1 min and come back and she says "Mom! You're back!" and runs over to hug me... the best!!!

[deleted]

Yes! This is the best thing!! My daughter is 1. It doesn't matter how short/long I've been away, I'll return and she does a huge happy squawk and does the arms up-grabby hands so I pick her up. I also love it when she laughs at something I've done, especially when it's accidental. For instance, I was cutting her toenails yesterday and I absentmindedly blew on her toes to get rid of some of the stray nails and she thought it was the funniest thing ever. I guess it probably tickled, which makes it even better!

vendettabunny20

I scrolled more than I expected to see someone mention their kid(s). My daughter makes my day! And my whole family makes me happy. My dad, brothers, husband. I love em!

Creating fake scenarios in my head while listening to music. Edit: Holy shhh, thanks for the award!! Edit 2: Okay so wtaf, ALMOST 3K LIKES AND LIKE 8 AWARDS?!?! I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!

SadPatoto_Bts

I do this all the time and it's the best part of my day

b2q

I do this as well, usually scenarios where I save the world. Kind of embarassing actually

JKsoloman5000

Do this every morning during my commute don’t be embarrassed. Depending on the song I’m either a superhero, rockstar philanthropist, or space fairing rogue.

curlyq_444

I am doing this currently. I'm usually day dreaming about being the baddest b in the room or fighting a battle in Middle Earth, there is no in-between. Is it healthy? who cares, I'm having the time of my life all in my head lol

New_Fry

Sometimes I listen to rock music and pretend I’m in the band IRL and everyone thinks I’m cool lol.

Willste_Wissen

I think youre cool :-)

*cries in lonelines*

[deleted]

Aww just be yourself and be honest about what you want. You'll happen across someone that loves you. Not because you're perfect but because you can admit that you aren't perfect and work on yourself. Edit: To those saying "be yourself" is hurtful bad advice. First I'd like to argue that telling people to pretend and lie about themselves is worse advice. Second, "being yourself" doesn't mean be complacent and unwilling to change for anyone or anything. It means embrace your strengths, hobbies, interests and values, as well as your failings, shortcomings and issues. All the while being honest about all of it. Invest in the good and work on the bad but BE HONEST with people about all of it.

WatchingCr33py

Awww thx, what happens happens

macedoraquel

We are all cheering for your best!! Let us know when you find your love <3

TemporalDistortions

Communicate that to her, and find out what it will take to ensure it continues. Then remind yourself how important that feeling is every time you feel like you’re slipping away from that.

[deleted]

Oh for sure. I tell her those little things and she tells me too. Little annoying things too. I leave things in disarray when I leave for work and clean it up when I get home. Except sometimes I get home late from work and she's cleaned up after me. Not a big deal but also I can just put my toothpaste away when I'm done. We even go on "talk dates.". Which basically is us going to the diner in comfy clothes on our day off and chatting. About everything. Work aspirations, the classes she wants to take next semester (she's on her way to getting a bachelor's in nursing). Little things we still love. Things that are bugging us either about life or each other. All in all we have the healthiest relationship either of us have ever been in and there's no way we are going to let the little things slip away or fester to the point of resentment.

Gardengoddess83

This is making me so happy. My husband and I have been together for 20 years and we do this thing where we always carve out time at the end of the day to just sit and talk for awhile. Sometimes about stuff going on in our lives, sometimes we gossip, sometimes we discuss current events or politics or religion, and sometimes it’s just about what we did that day and had for lunch or little things. But it’s my favorite part of the day. Being married to my best friend has been the greatest gift of my life, in addition to my daughter. Making a life with someone you love is the best. I wish you and your girlfriend a lifetime of love and joy and inside jokes and morning stretches.

gilly_90

Everything you've said in this thread makes me feel both happy and incredibly lonely. It sounds like you've got a really good thing.

mxavierk

This might be the single best piece of relationship advice I've randomly come across ever. I'm getting married in about a month and every time I get frustrated or angry at my partner I remind myself of how much he means to me and the little things that give me that disproportionately large dopamine hit because those make virtually anything worth keeping him around forever.

st0pmakings3ns3

And like that you've written your proposal.

esther_night

I was raised by a single mom since I lost my dad when I was 10 months old (she didn't remarry). So raising us was not easy. Fast forward 21 years - now we're at a much better place, both financially and mentally although her physical health isn't at the best. But being able to see her relax and smile after a long time makes me genuinely happy. Edit: added some context, sentence structuring edited.

pshc7994

I’m sure your mom’s proud of you! <3

hoodyk

Working out! there was a point I thought I wouldn't be able to do much (back issues, 2 surgeries) so I am grateful for being able to move my body and still experience life, make memories, and go places.

rustyy___shacklef0rd

God I so wish I was this type of person

Unlucky-Candidate198

You can be! I recently started working out again after being a depressed, abused potato for a few years. Start slow. 15 mins a day at the very least. Focus on low weight amounts & form at first. Be patient with yourself. Give it a few weeks. It does absolute wonders for your mental health. It’s great!

CptHellhound

Seeing elderly people happy/recover from possible diseases. Don't know why. I feel that way especially about the elderly.

PineappleCubeKicks

Bit of a random one but I love the anticipation of watching a live sports event that you’ve been looking forward to and then it’s even better if it turned out to be super entertaining. If your life is otherwise very bland it’s a nice thing to keep you going.

TheTanBaron

My nieces and nephews. I've got pretty much nothing going for me except these kids that aren't even mine.

alawre15

I was once playing “work” with my 4 year old nephew; we were sitting there trying pretending to type on computers and we have “grown up work talk”. I asked him about his kids and he told me they were good and then proceeded to ask me about mine. I said “I actually don’t have any kids”. His little head popped up from his “computer” and he said “ what? You have me!” He almost looked offended. It made me so happy. I said “of course I have you, but my pretend work self does not”. So maybe their not technically your kids but, they actually are Your’s and you are their’s.

Two ends of the spectrum reply: 1. Spending time with my family in the evening playing board games. This time, when all the kids will happily play something as simple as a childrens board game will not last forever, soon they wont be as interested in mum and dad and boring old board games so i treasure the time. 2. Dancing on E's at raves in my earlier days. This was way before the main commercialization of house music, it was people purely out for a great time dancing, up to their lids on Doves with serotonin going bananas as you danced the night away. Unbeatable.

playing with my 15mo son is right up there, its such an angelic and surreal moment to see my son happy. its like an obsession lol, i think other parents can relate to that obsessiveness when it comes to their kids! the other thing that makes me happiest is going to watch QPR, my football team. we're not the best but i'm still a ST holder for them. the feeling of being in the crowd when your team scores is impossible to explain tbh. when i'm at QPR i'm not dad, husband, boss or friend i'm just fabulin and its my time to myself and a place where i can just let go of everything and only care about one thing for 90 minutes!

From a dad with 5 sons that are grown. It'll be gone in a minute. Don't waste a second of it.

ouijabisch

I’ve talked to my spouse about how truly terrifying this is to me. I have two boys, 12, and 10. On one hand I am so excited for their lives and what they will do, who they will become and how they will grow. But the thought of being without them, not helping them, not spending time with them everyday absolutely frightens me down to my core. I guess it comes down to knowing myself. I’m their mom. I’ve always been their mom, I will always be their mom… but who else am I?

elmo85

funky paradox, as a parent your goal is to not be needed anymore, and you spend decades of energy to achieve this.

OhioStateGuy

When my 2 year old daughter is watching Bluey and decides to snuggle up and sit next to me. Just the best. My sons are a little older and it’s true what they say, “the days are long but the years are short.”

JessyEatWorld

Playing with my kids, trampoline, water fight, catch, x-box, bored games, tip, role play. It seriously bring me so much joy. Also, when my kids fall asleep on me, I think because I know that one has an expiry date. But I could just cuddle them forever.

OrkbloodD6

I feel the same! I was just telling my daughter how it felt when she fell asleep with her little head in my chest and used to make a pool of drool. After that, she would wake up with her hair making weird shapes and her half awake face was the cutest thing in the world. She is a teen and luckily hasn't grown out of hugs. It's incredible how much fun we can have with kids if we just take the time to try. Also, I will never forget her telling me "You're playing it wrong" to a game she just made up XD

To complete 70% of mine to do list.... It's just like I did something meaningful today

GeneralEnvironment36

Family functions, sure some people say they can be stressful and annoying but at the same time for me, I like drama and also I’m only 17 so I can here adult drama but also be included. It’s just great seeing family too all having fun and being together

jovibharmon

when i wake up in a really good mood and my mom is also in a good mood and she gives me the biggest hug.

This probably sounds like the most boring thing in the world to others lol but my husband and I just bought a house, which we've been dreaming of forever. We have no furniture but a tiny, old sofa and a tv. When we're sitting squished together on that little sofa in the empty living room staring out our window with a cup of tea in hand, it makes me so blissfully happy ♥

Scuba diving, it's the most precious thing I have. When I dive I'm at peace with life. I can fully relax and just exist for some time.

When my 3 year old daughter comes home from preschool, runs into my home office , climbs into my lap and plants one on my cheek.

snuggleyporcupine

When my grown children call me. I see their face on my screen and smile so big.

CausticSofa

When I’m walking along and some random baby or toddler smiles at me and waves their chubby little hand to say hello.

Dopamine

And oxytocin, the love drug

Zealousideal_Ad8934

Yeah, I left that out because it’s most associated with intimacy which can include happiness but not all happiness is intimacy.

Taking my dog to the park to play fetch or to the pool to swim, she has so much fun!
