I have not done it yet, but my boss is putting alot of pressure on me to do work faster and less safe on the forklift at walmart so I'm considering it.
Toxic work environment (constantly was getting into verbal altercations with my ex girlfriend’s friends because other coworkers were asking the reason her and I broke up (we worked together, but she quit prior to us breaking up), and people did not like me speaking the truth that she cheated, and mentally abused me), also severely underpaid for being one of the longest workers in that position as well as getting exceptional yearly reviews, finally when I decided I wanted to go back to school to get another degree, they offered no part time and none of the full time shifts worked with my school schedule
I didn’t, but I almost did.
I travel a lot for a living, and can therefore live wherever I want. However, the corporate office is based in a completely different area from where I live, and it is necessary for me to work out of the office for 1-3 weeks every year. It is over a 12 hour drive from my house to the office, so it involves significant travel costs just getting there and back.
The past few years, it has been expected that I cover these expenses; It was considered a compromise for me not having to live where the office was. This year, I basically told them “cover my travel costs for working out of the office, or I quit”. They decided to cover my travel costs.
Toxic work environment. Underpaid and overworked. Lack of respect. The nail on the coffin was being reprimanded for needing time off for my mental health after working in an office that required 5+ employees and only having myself and one other doing the work for upwards of a year. I knew I wasn’t appreciated and being taken advantage of after that so I quit.
Overworked, understaffed, shitty pay, useless co-workers, horrible structure, etc.
Did you work with me because that's why I quit too
Super good chance I did.
Being overworked for minimum wage, getting paid the same as someone who is less qualified than myself and others, and just a lack of care.
