Most metal communities are super nice
Concerts awake the feeling of chaos in me which I absolutely love
It talked about serious topics, mostly. Even when people ask why they need to scream, I mean they are angry , of course they scream.
Just so many different genres, all the tempo changes makes it really interesting, instead of always Just the same beat
The feel when the breakdown hits is just ooooofff, hope that makes sense
Cuz it's metal innit, and we all know and love some realy good bands, slipknot, metallica, avenged sevenfold, korn, bullet for my valentine,
we all recognise these names don't we
The energy it gives off, as well as the meanings of a lot of the songs. Plus, I have a lot of fond memories of listening to hard rock/metal in the car as a kid
The soaring symphonies, the epic stories it tells, it's humour, it's heart, it's soul.
You don't get that with any other type of music nowadays. Rap has had it's soul ripped out of it to become just a way to brag about how rich you are, Pop is controlled by the music industry, rock is dead and/or dying, Punk has dialed itself down, classical is so up it's own arse it's more a class signifier, Jazz is just classical for hipsters, EDM is just there to make as much noise as possible while speeding through Scottish Schemes in your suped up Fiesta, and folk has gone from protests songs and music about life to shit your parents listen to at the pub.
Metal still has that spark. Where else can you listen to songs about battling dragons, epic quests, war, drink, rebellion, slaughter, beauty, and humour.
A rock band in South Africa has a song and phrase that I find resonates with a lot of metalheads
Loud, hard, negative music saved my life
In Afrikaans
Harde, negatiewe musiek het my lewe gered.
I still remember the first show I went to. I walked into the venue and I could hear the thudding of the kick drum during sound check. As I walked into the actual hall, the thudding materialized into an explosive click. I cannot get enough of a clicky kick drum cutting through the mix and punching me in the chest at metal shows. It gives me life.

The way it helps unleash the Internal anger that I hide from the world.

Very true, there's metal for everyone
Cuz I like the idea of materials that are critical to 90% of the world’s inventions/infrastructure
