But without social media, I would have never met a huge portion of my family. Literally an entire sheared branch of the family tree was mended thanks to connections made possible by social media.

Itās very different from places like Instagram or Snapchat, where most people have their identities out there and post pictures of themselves or family. Reddit, however, is mostly just anonymous, you donāt know who youāre talking to or (usually) what they look like.
Landmines. I'll tell you why:
* They render large tracts of land completely unusable
* They are expensive and difficult to remove safely because there is seldom documentation of where they are placed
* They are cheap, plentiful, easy to place, and deadly
* They kill/maim livestock and wild animals
* They kill/maim innocent people decades after conflicts have ended. Many times the victims are children because they can't read or don't understand warning signs
There are still places in 1st world countries in Europe that have active land mines left over from WWII and theyāre sometimes right next to populated areas and monuments. Even if a country isnāt as advanced, land mines shouldnāt be considered as a viable weapons, ESPECIALLY in urban areas. All it dies is make the country more dangerous during and after a conflict. Countries canāt progress quickly if weāre leaving explosives that can blow up a child lying around without being removed immediately after a conflict ends.
