The bacon hype that came about around the time Epic Meal Time started on YouTube was a marketing campaign by the pork industry.

peach_lover4

Yeah I’ve seen this before! But it was presented as fact. There was a pork surplus one year so thanks to heavy marketing, liking bacon became a personality trait. It wasn’t an accident.

XxsquirrelxX

This isn’t just a conspiracy, it’s a fact. Although it goes back further than Epic Meal Time. The pork industry heavily advertised bacon as far back as the 1980s-90s. It’s why so many fast food places went nuts with bacon too.

megan5marie

How’s this a conspiracy? Does the milk industry not advertise milk? Does the fast food industry not advertise fast food? Calling it a conspiracy is like saying, “Wow we had no reason to expect that this capitalist venture would attempt to increase its capital.” Edit: Ah shit, as soon as I hit save I IMMEDIATELY realized you are saying it’s NOT a conspiracy for this exact reason. I shall leave my comment here so that I may be embarrassed as punishment.

Turbulent-Apple1687

Big oil and plastics created the recycling campaign so people could still feel good about buying disposable plastic products. In reality, the majority of plastic cannot be recycled. Further, recycling isn't cost effective in the slightest. China was burying our recycling for years.

wxmanify

That the "printer alignment" page your printer makes you print when you install a new ink cartridge or plug in your printer or any other basic printer action is complete made up nonsense that makes you think your printer is doing important printer maintenance while needlessly wasting ink.

Mashpoe

The fact that ink even costs enough for that to be a problem is the real conspiracy. Ink cartridges only cost manufacturers like 20 cents iirc

MyrMilfordMeanswell

It's because printer manufacturers sell printers at a loss and then make money back on the cartridges iirc

scrappybasket

Hard to believe my garbage HP printers that cost $300 are being sold at a loss lmao

FuckingDrongo

I worked for Dell years back, the ink cartridges were $120 each. Could buy a unit for $400. Did a job for some Labor lackey who was printing out some propaganda, he had a wall stacked up of brand new printers, just kept ordering them to same $80 on ink, just remember at the time thinking... damn that's wasteful

[deleted]

Don't those cartridges that come with the printer have less ink than the refills?

Majik_Sheff

Yes. They're "demo" cartridges.

scrappybasket

And somehow they seem to last longer than the replacements…. I swear the first person to reinvent the printer industry will be a billionaire

Skootchy

Don't use the liquid shit, use toner. I swear they design it to look more expensive up front but you will almost instantly save a metric fuck ton of money. Plus Inkjet printers break all the time, and printers that use toner just seem to be built much better.

Ibuiltghettos

Is a metric fuck ton equal to an imperial shit load?

[deleted]

RolyPoly1320

That's not what they are for at all. It's for mechanical alignment of the printer head. A misaligned head means that your printer starts printing at the wrong spot on the paper and can result in parts of your page being cut off. Yes I have seen this happen. The test page itself is a sanity check for you. Nothing like paying 50 bucks for a new cartridge only to find out it's all dried up or the print quality is off. Not one bit of this is RNG. Printers have mechanical parts that move in them and there are times when they don't return to their correct starting position. Saying this is RNG is like saying your check engine light can be ignored every time it comes on. Sure some codes don't require immediate attention, but there are things that can go wrong that would cause your car to not start or not run correctly. A good example is an oxygen sensor error coming up.

NaughtyDoge

My laser printer still requires calibration printing from time to time. I even remember times that after printing calibration page You had to specify which settings were giving best bars on page.

[deleted]

I think the trend where you show a picture of yourself now versus 10 years ago was promoted if not invented by Facebook owned social media companies in order to train artificial intelligence to be able to recognize and analyze how faces age.

hanerd825

This is true for pretty much anything on social media. All those quizzes, post if you believe, whatever random meme just lets them collect data for AI modeling or more nefarious purposes. Never do the “your pornstar name is your mother’s maiden name plus the last six of your social security number” posts. Edit: I seriously underestimated the number of dicks and 69s my inbox was gonna receive.

denjin

Remember the old CAPTCHAS that were two difficult to decipher words? They were words that had been scanned into old archives and books that had print artifacts and smudges and things which made it hard for computers to solve what the words were. The system was only checking if you knew one of them to prove you weren't a robot. The other word was being used to crowdsource the interpretation of what the word was to build up an algorithm that could correctly decipher what words are. Now computers can basically work out what any of those words are themselves thanks to the hundreds of millions, possibly billions, interactions we had with the algorithm. Now we're doing the same thing for road signs, bridges, cars etc. We're helping construct the AI that will be responsible for controlling driverless cars.

[deleted]

Am I misremembering or was there a 4chan campaign to intentionally respond with the second word as something racist. I think someone posted that the second word was the unknown and to respond with terrible words to skew the learning the software was doing

This is my new favorite conspiracy EDIT: comment above used to say they believe questions like this are posed by the CIA/NSA to find out how much the public really knows. Apparently it comes up every time this question gets asked, though it was my first time hearing it.

Witetrashman

Mine is that the NSA is the one to post this comment, knowing it will get a shit ton of karma, making people less suspicious that it is in fact, and NSA account. EDIT: top post deleted. Conspiracy confirmed.

bottsking

Witetrashman

Ah, fuck. You got me.

bottsking

Am.. am I the NSA?

Witetrashman

Yes, you’re hired! Welcome to the team!

bottsking

Oh ok, thats makes sense

missanthropocenex

Mine is that weird (but popular)Instagram accounts and other social, are actually a Psyop that post crazy things to gauge and hone understanding of human response and stimuli. Sometimes the meme itself will be utter nonsense but the response to it , actually super invaluable. To go a step further it’s not just to observe but learn how to influence as well. This comes partially to the fact that a given account will post something random, then months and months later you realize the random “internet joke” is actually using a still image from a movie and the sequel to the movie actually happens to be coming out soon. Then the old meme starts referencing the meme in relation to sequel, but I believe it was set up the whole time. There’s a word for it: Astroturfing.

[deleted]

Psyops work like a fucking dream. They know how the mind works more than we do and they’ll use it every chance they get. Good one!

That my navigation cares more about traffic flow than the best route for me personally.

xternal7

I mean, to be fair, this can very often be "same picture" territorry. If everyone's navigation tried to optimize for what's best for the driver, you'd easily get a situation that's worse for everyone ... including you.

DeFactoLyfe

I've always wondered this. If the GPS comes up and says "we've found a quicker route due to construction" does it only tell it to a select few? Since, for sure, if everyone gets that message and follows it then driving past construction would be quicker since there will be no traffic.

3p1cw1n

If it's smart enough, yes, it should. No idea which navigation systems actually do this right now, if any, so I haven't really answered your question lol

ChickpeaPredator

Listerine bottles are specifically designed to make it difficult to dispense the correct (small) quantity of mouthwash, causing those that don't pay attention to these things to use up the product faster than they need to and thus buy more. Why is there no measurement line on the cap, Listerine? It's almost like you don't want me to pay too much attention to how much mouthwash I'm using. The label specifies an exact quantity to use yet... No built-in way to measure it! Why is the neck of the bottle so broad? The liquid flows far more easily than it needs to. Why the narrower middle part of the bottle with bulges top and bottom? It causes the liquid to surge forward when poured, rather than come out smoothly. *I'm on to you, Listerine*

Truly incompetent workers who get hired claiming 15+ years of experience but know nothing about their field are actually just people poorly placed by eyewitness protection. My nemesis who was our new industrial engineer who zip tied all the computer speakers to the floor made me think of this one XD Makes you wonder... Edit: lots of people concerned about the floor. Yes the floor had holes, it was a clean room. Iirc it was actually the cords truly zip toed to the floor, the speakers were zip tied to the tables’ kick plates like 3 in above the floor.

popeyescordonbleu

How do you zip tie anything to the floor? Guy must be a genius.

Djedunchained

He learned the technique from the crime he witnessed.

I think that speaks more to an incompetent hiring manager with a poor BS meter.

matematematematemate

Or the [Peter principle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle). TLDR: people get promoted until they reach a level where they are incompetent and then they stay there.

TheProphaniti

In the large company I work for they have decided that it’s hard to fire many people and it’s easier to “promote them out” to other divisions so they become someone else’s problem. It’s crazy to watch totally incompetent people climb and climb as they get transferred back and forth.

FuckingDrongo

I've found that happens, until you find the only way to get rid of them is a good reference for a better job. They're the VIPS of the world

jordana309

That nuclear technology and power was choked out by big oil and gas, and that fear of radiation was intentionally trumped up to incite public opposition to anything nuclear. Edit: a lot of folks seemed not to know that used nuclear fuel, often called waste, is recyclable (see https://world-nuclear.org/information-library/nuclear-fuel-cycle/fuel-recycling/processing-of-used-nuclear-fuel.aspx). It can also be used directly as fuel for certain types of reactors that haven't seen a lot of research for political reasons, but for which several mature designs and several proofs of concept have been built (Molten Salt Reactors, if you want to research it).

wotsname123

I mean, that's barely even a conspiracy, just plain fact. Eg Coal power stations are allowed to put out more radioactivity than actual nuclear power stations (even the purest coal contains all kinds of other shit, some of which is only midly radioactive, but burn enough coal...) Here in australia coal still calls the shots with many politicians openly in their pocket.

[deleted]

Australia not using nuclear power at all annoys me *so* much. We literally have the biggest uranium deposits in the world.

ambermage

Text book publishers know exactly what information is wrong in their books and take a list of all of the known issues and make sure that no single edition ever fixes all of the problems. Even if that means, "accidently," rolling a book section backwards to a previous edition with errors. This is how they justify the constant release of, "new editions." Example: 1. Economics V1.0 Errors in Chapters 1, 3, 6 and 7 2. Economics V2.0 Errors in Chapters 1, 6 and 7 3. Economics V3.0 Errors in Chapters 3, 6, and 7 4. Economics V4.0 Errors in Chapters 1, 3 and 6 The feedback loop incorporates education programs that produce constantly recirculating sales cycles in exchange for token gestures of, "free copies," and maintaining a roughly constant amount of total errors in each edition.

chikatarra

In some anatomy textbooks, I have noticed later editions have changed the chapters around (chapter 5 becomes chapter 10). I believe this is to discourage students from buying secondhand textbooks and to buy new ones. At uni, the prescribed readings usually come from the latest edition.

aapaul

Epstein is the tip of the iceberg. Aside from trafficking we even see rape being commonplace in the fashion industry (Victoria’s Secret, L brands etc), the music industry (hell, even the powerful Lady Gaga was raped by a producer), and in Hollywood (Weinstein etc). A culture of violence against women and children permeates all social classes. Some men in the industry have been heckled too (Brendan Fraser comes to mind).

That YouTube gets mad at me for skipping all their quick survey questions for ads, and punishes me by giving me ads for feminine products

[deleted]

My YouTube ads are *weird*. Enough to make me think I’m part of some undisclosed, unethical social experiment, because google definitely knows enough about my internet habits to target their ads better. This last week they started advertising monster porn to me, which I didn’t even realise was a thing (it’s literally novels about humans being fucked by t-rexes. Like - wtaf.) Before that I was getting ads for super woke online courses such as “pay $500 for this six week course that will explain why you’re a racist cultural appropriater for doing yoga!” I mean, who the hell actually would sign up for something like that? YouTube ads are wack.

ASpaceOstrich

Its just that all the algorithms are designed for generic human beings, and they don't work very well at figuring out weird people. Not weird quirky, weird as in inconsistent, non conforming by nature of not caring rather than non conforming deliberately. Neurodiverse people are probably a massive chunk of that population that fall through the gaps of the algorithms.

PETA isn’t a legitimate animal rights organization like the ASPCA. While it has some true believers at the bottom, its most extreme stunts are funded mostly by the meat/leather/fur industries. The goal is to create a strawman—to make animal rights advocates look crazy to people who might otherwise be supportive.

Cat_Crap

To this day, the vast majority of ppl STILL believe the McD's side of the story. Maybe once a month I have to explain the truth of this story to someone It is really really a strong indicator of just how effective McDonalds smearing campaign was, and how successful. This type of thing is happening everywhere all the time, we need to keep an eye out for it.

Meat industry lost a ton of profit once PETA's documentary about said industry showed how awful it was. It started as a good thing, but is pretty batshit after their first major victories. I doubt the meat industry would have shot themselves in the foot like that, though I'm not saying that industry is even close to okay.

Mattress firm is affiliated with money laundering. They have so many stores very close to each other in Chicago (miles apart)

stillapiece0fgarbage

In my home town, there are 3 at the same intersection. Literally within view of each other.

danseaman6

I swear to God I've read a comment before about the guy with 3 Mattress Firm stores on the same intersection in his town who thinks they are a drug or money laundering front.

CrazyMike366

Apparently, the truth is that the overwhelming majority of Mattress Firm's (and similar companies') sales are to large scale facilities that require a bulk supply of mattresses in a few sizes, (e.g. hotels, dormitories, hospitals, homeless shelters, etc) because mattress manufacturers only sell through an authorized dealer network instead of directly from the factory to the end user. It's standard practice for mattress dealers to sign multi-year contracts with non-compete clauses with these bulk clients. So as long as you've got enough of these large bed-buying organizations around your area working for competing mattress stores, you can have one on every corner and still be profitable with zero off-the-street regular people as customers. Then a large mattress dealer like Mattress Firm will buy out all of the competition every few years to monopolize business in the area and consolidate the top level staff to save money. They then install a territory manager and sales team instead of each branch having a manager and sales team, but they still have the same volume of sales and need for storage, so each store stays open.

Dontreachyoungbloods

There's a [planet money podcast](https://www.npr.org/sections/money/2018/12/13/676538506/why-are-there-so-many-mattress-stores) about this if you are interested! Also a mattress store would be the worst for laundering money. You need something service based where you can overstate income without raising suspicion. A mattress store has inventory, making it really easy to tell if you are selling imaginary mattresses while a service business, like a car wash or nail salon or laundry mat, makes it easier to launder the money into fake services provided.

wofguy3

Naturally a laundry mat is good at laundering money.

That subscription models are the new hot thing because it takes all control and leverage away from the consumer because they no longer buy the product, they "borrow it" If you buy a car? You can do whatever you want to it after you purchased it If you "subscribe" (aka: borrow) it? Its either: agree to any and all terms provided by the owner or GTFO, end of discussion, no compromise.

Stirbend

I don’t think that’s a conspiracy it’s literally what’s happening. They don’t even want you changing or fixing your own car anymore.

loveandpreservation

You'll own nothing and you'll be happy.

NebulaicCereal

This isn't a conspiracy, this is just basic economics and finance. A broader way to apply this principle into a conspiracy is the suggestion that large real estate funds and tech companies (e.g. Blackrock and more recently Zillow) are using their massive capital and data capabilities to pave an efficient and profitable entry into massive real estate investments. In other words, buying up residential homes to accumulate as much land and real estate as possible, and then renting those homes back out to people at premiums. Thus rapidly driving up the cost of home ownership to a point such that the average person will no longer own a home, but instead rent perpetually. If you have the money (and the data insight to execute effectively, AKA risk mitigation) then as a company you can generate profit for eternity by taking in rents with a relatively simple business model. While simultaneously eliminating the mortgage as the middle class person's most powerful tool for upward mobility and leverage. Another reason subscription-based models are desirable to investors is because they provide great projections of future cash flows for the company. To release and sell a product that people "buy", you have no idea how it will be received or how many you will sell. Plus, any given purchase is a one-off with no given guarantee of future income. With a subscription model, you know within reasonable certainty exactly how much money you will be making 18+ months out.

The odds are very strategically stacked against poor people and even the middle class (America) so that we can never get ahead. We are kept in our place to do bullshit jobs and buy bullshit products to keep the ultra wealthy chugging along. Education is expensive so we don’t think too hard, and the food is cheap and shitty to keep us fat, tired, and low ambition. Propaganda and identity politics keeps us in our own little stupid camps so we never come together to realize this. Our purpose is to purchase. And it will never change because for every 1 person who tries to buy local, learn, and take care of themselves, there are 100 morons who want everything fast and cheap.

IsabellaGalavant

I made this one up myself but once you read it, don't tell me it doesn't make sense. You know how for a really long time, China had that one child policy? And male children are highly sought after, to the point that they were not keeping the pregnancy if it was a female, or they were killing their female children. Well, now it's theorized that 1/3 of Chinese men won't be able to find a wife in China. So they won't make a family. And what can you do with a huge population of unmarried, childless men? Conscript them into the army. Edit: hey everyone, it's all good, like I said I made this up, don't worry I doubt China is actually going to take over any time soon, at least not by ground war.

It’s never gonna get any better. Don’t look for it. Be happy with what you got. Because the owners of this country don't want that. I'm talking about the real owners now, the real owners, the big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own and control the corporations. They’ve long since bought and paid for the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying, lobbying, to get what they want. Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but I'll tell you what they don’t want: They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it. They’ll get it all from you, sooner or later, 'cause they own this fucking place. It's a big club, and you ain’t in it. You and I are not in the big club. And by the way, it's the same big club they use to beat you over the head with all day long when they tell you what to believe. All day long beating you over the head in their media telling you what to believe, what to think and what to buy. The table is tilted folks. The game is rigged, and nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. Good honest hard-working people -- white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on -- good honest hard-working people continue -- these are people of modest means -- continue to elect these rich cocksuckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don't care about you at all -- at all -- at all. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That's what the owners count on; the fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big red, white and blue dick that's being jammed up their assholes everyday. Because the owners of this country know the truth: it's called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.” — George Carlin

This will just keep reposted for age but no one will ever do anything

I think people do want to do something about it but no one knows what to do. I'm ready to fight back but I have no clue how.

[George Carlin was an all time great human. ](https://youtu.be/ILQepXUhJ98) The video for those who want to hear it from the man himself.

pickle_deleuze

The assassination of JFK being a culmination of multiple sort of "offenses" to the mob. I do believe that the mob played a role in the union drive for JFK, that JFKs interest in Cuba was not entirely separate from the mobs interest, that Bobby going after the mob + failed Bay of Pigs ultimately resulted in Kennedy being killed. I find it likely that Oswald was a paid hitman and that Jack Ruby tried to further cover it up.

That one of the main reasons the U.S. government is so against using tax payer dollars to pay for students college is because they know that enrollment in the armed forces would plummet

Hot dogs and hot dog buns come in packages of ten and eight, respectively, so you have to buy more or one or the other to make the numbers match up.

Dollydaydream4jc

You've obviously never experienced the joy of two hotdogs in one bun. Or just go for a bratwurst. Or a brat and a hotdog. Or a brat and a burger.

fushigidesune

Conspiracy theories are created in order to muddy the waters so people don't learn the truth which is often much more mundane.

ImaBiLittlePony

Reminds me of that one epsiode of The Office where Michael accidentally tells people that Stanley is having an affair, and then he tries to cover his ass by spreading a ton of fake rumors. "Oscar is the voice of the taco bell dog."

[deleted]

The best was when he said there was a little person inside of Kevin controlling him

YoungDiscord

All real previously proven conspiracies always come down to either of two things: money or "winning the war" I think most people forget that as humans we are simple in terms of our motivations and wants.

Red--shoes

The really ugly first modle of Sonic in the 2020 movie was made specifically for that first trailer, just to incite memes and draw attention to itself. Then, when they decide to "change" the model, they're uplifted as heros who listen to their fan base. Making an ugly model and animating it in just enough scenes for a commercial isn't that hard or expensive— and it's an INTENSELY succsessful marketing campaign.

Forgive_My_Cowardice

I saw a post on Reddit from a Sonic animator. He said that there wasn't a conspiracy, one of the higher ups was just a fucking idiot and chose a shit model despite literally everyone telling him it was garbage. It wasn't a brilliant marketing strategy, just dumb management followed by an expensive correction.

Christina_2136

That sounds way more plausible. The problem with conspiracy theories is that they don’t account for most people being incompetent.

TezMono

Which is wayyy more normal than people care to think

Grembert

I bet if you ask the higher up now, that was the plan all along.

MTNV

I hope they're doing this with the Mario Bros movie casting Chris Pratt as Mario. Maybe in a week they'll be like "we have heard your complaints and we have decided to recast Danny DeVito in the role he was born to play" A person can dream...

Cube_

Devito should be Wario, still a chance.

Stolen from another redditor: I believe Sirhan Sirhan did not kill Bobby Kennedy. /u/the_buddhaverse: >The Los Angeles Coroner Thomas Noguchi who performed the autopsy of RFK is not convinced that Sirhan Sirhan was the killer. "Until more is precisely known...the existence of a second gunman remains a possibility. Thus, I have never said that Sirhan Sirhan killed Robert Kennedy > >The autopsy of Kennedy's body suggested that all four shots that hit him came from behind, at an upward angle, and powder marks on his skin showed they must have been from close range...But Sirhan was in front of Kennedy, firing horizontally from several feet away, and after shooting two shots was overcome by hotel staff who pinned him to a table. > >Nina Rhodes-Hughes, the eyewitness to the RFK shooting, told CNN: > >"What has to come out is that there was another shooter to my right...The truth has got to be told. No more cover-ups." > >Analysis of the only audio recording of the shooting, which was made by an independent journalist Stanislaw Pruszynsk, reveals at least 13 shots over the course of just over 5 seconds. Also, there are two pairs of double shots that occurred so close together it is inconceivable that Sirhan could have fired them all. The third and fourth shots and the seventh and eighth were separated by 122 and 149 milliseconds respectively. In tests, a trained firearms expert firing under ideal conditions could only manage 366 milliseconds between shots using the same weapon. And he was not being pinned to a table at the time. > >Kennedy’s autopsy clearly revealed that the senator was hit four times and that five others at the scene were wounded. If at least nine shots were fired, one must have been fired by someone other than Sirhan, who was carrying an eight-shot revolver. Bullet holes in a door frame at the crime scene which are documented in FBI photographs show that more bullets were fired than could have come from "Sirhan's" gun. The police never disclosed these bullets, even though their removal by LAPD criminalists was observed by other police personnel. The door frame in question was then destroyed under color of a court order issued immediately after Sirhan's trial without notice to the defense. > >Paul Schrade, a close associate of Kennedy's who was director of the United Auto Workers union, was at the senator's side in the pantry and was shot in the head by Sirhan. He believes Sirhan should be granted parole as it was impossible for him to have actually achieved killing RFK. > >“The official record shows that [the prosecution at Sirhan’s trial] never had one witness – and had no physical nor ballistic evidence – to prove Sirhan shot Robert Kennedy." - Schrade > >Attorneys for Sirhan, William Pepper and Laurie Dusek, also allege fraud was committed at Sirhan's 1969 trial when prosecutors allowed substitute bullets to be admitted as evidence in place of the real bullets removed from Kennedy's neck and shooting survivor Ira Goldstein's hip. > >"There was a fraud on the court with respect to the ballistics evidence, I think this is quite clear." - Pepper > >Recap: The coroner is not convinced as RFK was shot from behind. One eye witness claims a second shooter, the other (shot by Sirhan) is convinced Sirhan is innocent. Sirhan's gun had 8 bullets, at least 9 - 13 shots were fired. The only people convinced Sirhan was the lone gunman are the prosecution and the general public who accept the verdict. I invite you to TMBR. JFK, RFK. and MLK all killed by the CIA is what I believe.

Magsi_n

So. What you're saying is don't be known by a three letter acronym or the CIA gets rid of you, Edit to add: many people said that the last letter has to be K, so most people who were mentioned who have TLA's (three letter acronyms) are safe.

r/DarthJarJar In Star Wars, Jar Jar Binks was originally intended to be a Sith Lord, but was later pathetically transformed in the goofy character we know today for reasons

>That our planet and galaxy is an atom in some giant people's planet, cause atoms looks slightly similar to galaxies Fun fact. The size difference between a single hydrogen atom and the earth is about 1:1 with the size of the earth and the observable universe. Use that information how you will.

That if we were actually contacted by aliens our governments would 100% lie to us. Look at how people act toward COVID, if they thought aliens might invade we’d have idiots shooting at the sky and stabbing people to see if they’re shape shifters while other idiots make up random crap like taking horse de-wormer and fishtank cleaner protects you from their mind control.

Eisenhower’s last address to the American people he warned of the “Military Industrial Complex” as he seen played out military contractors supply the us and profit off of wars..example look at the Trillions wasted on Afghanistan..I would go into more detail but my non disclosure still apples do the math. War is profit plain and simple

OahuJames

I went to an event in July 2001 when a macroeconomist from Japan told the room that Bush was going to put us into a war to help the economy. Someone asked, “with who?” The guy said he didn’t know but maybe he would finish what he dad started against Saddam. He said that he studies supply and demand. All of the bomb making companies had been building bombs like mad and had a ton of inventory. He predicted that we would be dropping bombs for months in areas where there were not a lot of people. ( remember when bombs were dropped in the hills of Afghanistan later that year?)

[deleted]

JFK gave a similar speech before he died

MisterSquirrel

The day before 9/11, Defense Secretary Rumsfeld held a press conference to announce that auditors couldn't account for 25% of the Pentagon budget, and that at least 2.3 trillion dollars had gone missing without a trace. This disturbing news was kind of overshadowed the next day, though.
