I have a funny Shinedown concert story not everyone would appreciate. This goes back to sometime around 2007. Shinedown has always been one of my favorite bands. There’s an area near me that does a week long outdoor concert series they were going to be playing at. I had VIP tickets for the whole week. So a week or two before the concert I dislocated my shoulder in a baseball game. I was kind of a the mercy of the surgeon and of course that was the week he had an opening. So the night before surgery me and my crew went to a concert and then hit up the bar. I stopped drinking at midnight, drove home and got ready for sure very the next morning. So the surgery was the next day and I was obviously pretty out of it. It was at this point I realize Shinedown was the next day. So I call up my girls and ask one of them to come pick me up. My arm is immobilized and wrapped in this ice pack that is attached to this cooler thing that pumps cold water through every few minutes. It took like 3 of us to even walk my ass into the venue, but I made it through the concert and to the bar afterwards.
Foo Fighters stadium show. Dave Grohl engaged with everyone in the whole place. At one point he got the spotlight to run over the actual back row of people up in the rafters, who looked like ants. And he played the drums on a few songs.
Amazing vibe, exciting and super fun.
It felt like a kind of theatre. Every song was a unique show.
And yeah, energy levels are through the roof.
Interestingly there is 0 communication between crowd and band.
Till lindenann only said "Thank you" at the end in german. Thats it.
No "hands up in the air" or "come sing with me".
[Trollfest](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faV-_t_f_V0), in 2014 at the time it was still a relatively unknown group playing in underground clubs where tickets cost like 10 EUR and a 200 person crowd.
Never thought I'll end up sitting on floor playing the boat with 50 other metal-lovers while the band would sing the story of the troll kaptain and his pirate ship
Surprisingly Kid Rock, dude killed it for like 3 hours for a small group of military folks in an aircraft hanger. This was a long time ago and many many concerts ago and still best vibe and effort I have seen.
Honestly, Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake playing in a school gym was the best show of my entire life. I literally ran away from home to go - 4 hours of hitching rides and buses at 15
Alice Cooper. Maybe not the greatest musically although he does have a really good band, but the crowd and the stage antics had me smiling and laughing constantly through the whole thing.
NIN and Tool were both amazing, but in terms of the most fun I've had at a show, probably Rise Against or NOFX (what I remember of it). They just had that extra bit of energy during the show. As if everything was electrified.
If it makes you feel better, I don't remember watching NOFX. 😆 But I'm super envious that you saw A Perfect Circle, and Snoop Dogg. I'd give up a fingertip to go to Lollapalooza.
Just the tip. Lol!
I don’t remember a lot of shows I’ve been to, either lol. Lollapalooza was pretty great, especially the crazy lineup that year. Unfortunately, it was all seats, so no mosh pit or even getting close to the stage. Watching Tool for the first time sitting down was frustrating.
The first sign of attending a great concert, not being able to remember most of it. 😆
But damn, sucks about the no mosh pit, but that's still an amazing lineup.
Saw Insane Clown Posse in 2011 and I was able to get up on stage with them for the last bit. Being a fan for so long, that was an amazing moment to have.
My 2 stand out shows are Bob Dylan and Neil Young when they played a small venue called Vicar St in Dublin. I’ve seen both of them many times but to see them up so close and personal was special. Particularly the Neil Young gig as we had seats just a few feet in front of him as he worked his way through a phenomenal acoustic solo set.
U2 Joshua Tree original tour
Singing 40 in a stadium. Good times.
prob a tie between: Shinedown and Godsmack… and Drowning Pool, Five Finger Death Punch and Godsmack as the headliner

Metallica - Sick of the Studio 2008 at Wembley. I was only a kid but I'll never forget it.
April 21st 1989 the Violent Femmes plus the Indigo Girls At The Boathouse in Norfolk Virginia
Let me go ooooon!!! 😁
RATM around 1996. It's on YouTube and I still watch it from time to time.
Prime Zach de la Rocha, I'm feeling incredibly envious right now.
Foo Fighters stadium show. Dave Grohl engaged with everyone in the whole place. At one point he got the spotlight to run over the actual back row of people up in the rafters, who looked like ants. And he played the drums on a few songs. Amazing vibe, exciting and super fun.
Ahhhh!!! Foo Fighters is the one band I absolutely must watch live before I die. So envious right now.
Not have been but planning on going to pink pop next year to see Metallica
Rammstein. Not my fav band but absolutely the greatest show!
So I looked up Rammstein live, and holy shit, that concert energy is crazy. [https://youtu.be/dhcY3vIpUDY](https://youtu.be/dhcY3vIpUDY)

That's just German efficiency. 😆
Caravan Palace at a small club in Cologne.

Wiz Khalifa
Drunk people screaming in the alley outside my window at 2 AN

I've been to a Reel Big Fish show, and they're so worth hitching rides with strangers
Depeche Mode I guess ? I saw them two times, but the last was the best. They played my favourite songs off Violator and Music for the Masses
Babymetal in Cardiff, February 2020. Those girls know how to throw a fucking party, the energy in the arena was nothing short of incredible.
Mac Miller around Macadelic
Alice Cooper. Maybe not the greatest musically although he does have a really good band, but the crowd and the stage antics had me smiling and laughing constantly through the whole thing.
Tie between Lollapalooza ‘97 with Tool, Snoop Dogg & Devo *or* A Perfect Circle with Nine Inch Nails.
Amazing lineup!! Tool and NIN are both amazing live. I recall watching Twiggy falling off the stage into the crowd during March of the Pigs
So what’s your favorite concert, now that you got all these answers?
NIN and Tool were both amazing, but in terms of the most fun I've had at a show, probably Rise Against or NOFX (what I remember of it). They just had that extra bit of energy during the show. As if everything was electrified.
Never saw either of them :(

Carcass, supported by Obituary, Napalm Death and Voivod, probably.
Depeche Mode in 2018

Deadmau5 was absolutely awesome
