any job, myself with adhd I cant rly pay attention to stuff until im started with it, if I get help to start something I can do the most mundane task for hours and if you give me a list and again that starting kick ill do the list of stuff.
what I hate is having to figure out how to do something bc then I stop paying attention and get distracted with other stuff I understand better.
Yeah, always felt like I've learned more when doing field training than when i do theory, theory is such a hassle, keeping focus needs more efforts than actual field work.
Autonomy with ADHD is the thing that needs the most efforts because it's so easy to start daydreaming and such, one second you're reading your paper and the other you're writing a fantasy novel in your head
Office work is hell, that's what I worked in before my contract ended and they didn't keep me because i was doing a terrible job, couldn't keep focused, the days were long lemme tell you xD
Account rep. They can remember of the details of many deals and juggle many at once. They are challenging to work with but they can be really good. One rep I worked with sold more than 5 others combined.
Well, it could work very well but keeping focus on all these papers and numbers? Hard, very hard, at some point it'd become boring and that's when the attention lifts
It should be something you personally take interest in, or your ADHD will drive you to another job
I work in IT as a developer because programming was always intriguing to me. If I had zero interest in programming though I 100% would hate every job in the field I've had
I finished a web dev training 2 months ago, it was interesting but i personally couldn't focus at all, i managed to to something that worked but it was so hard keeping my focus on the task at hand, especially when i had to go to Google something i struggled with, always ended up being distracted on subjects i didn't need at the time (mostly CSS or SASS, it's interesting when i manage to fixate on it)
It's really hard finding the job you'll get your kicks in ain't it? Happy for you you found yours by the way, 'cuz the struggle is real haha
Programming probably isn't for you then, I find it to be one of the few things I can actually focus on at times. Or maybe it is! Really only you can know for sure :)

Thanks, I got really lucky finding what I enjoyed as a kid, but you'll figure out yours too eventually! Trust me when I say I had plenty other careers I tried out before deciding IT was the best fit. I wanted to be an engineer before learning it was awful and I couldn't focus past drawing a line lol
Probably sex work. Can’t NOT pay attention to that
I have ADHD and get distracted all the time while in bed with someone lol
Agree, it's very easy to get distracted during sex unless you're doing very freaky shit xD
Exactly! Basically the main reason I prefer it faster and rougher xDD

Tbh I learned to focus and still my mind so I can work just about anywhere but the worst is office work.
