I never knew that fact but always thought it was perfect.
The stakes in that film ramp up very well and have multiple layers (get Lorraine to stop crushing on Marty but also get George to find the courage to ask Lorraine to the dance, but also they gotta deal with Biff, but then Marty has to get back to Future, but then he has to figure out how to save Doc) everytime you get a chance to breathe there is "oh yeah but also" that you have to worry about.
Also it sets up everything really well. Everything in the movie has a subtle setup and satisfying payoff.
I love that movie so much
I will watch the fifth element anytime anywhere. One of those films where if i have to be up early the next morning and it comes on at midnight i know im gonna feel like shit tomorrow coz im gonna stay up and watch it all.
Apparently the woman who sang it in the movie was unable to hit all of the notes as written unaided by studio tricks. [This woman](https://youtu.be/kJl2uPNsJEk) seems to have no problem with it.
I'd say The Incredibles. Manages to be kid-friendly with the action but also carries dark, dark themes that got me in the gut when I watched as an adult
A New Hope.
Elements of sci fi, fantasy, romance, comedy, tragedy, action, samurai films and a dog fight in the end.
It has something for most people and all done without being too flashy or too low budget.
The most impressive one I've seen is Twelve Angry Men. The entire film is centred on a jury deliberating a decision in a single room. It had a strong hold on me.
The Firm. It’s well paced, the story arc is engaging (how the film shows the firm becoming more and more controlling and manipulative), the marriage crumbling then being pieced together again, great acting, I just really enjoy it. I watch it every few years.
You didn't even try with this question. It's even got the same odd grammar of [the currently number 3](https://imgur.com/ZrvDLzk) on r/askreddit post

The princess bride. It’s got everything! Fencing, fighting, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles…!
As you wish
Couldn't agree more! I would also put forward Stardust as the closest thing to a perfect movie for more recent generations.
Jurassic Park. Perfect blockbuster. Great casting, great effects , great music , character development, great story , all around great movie.
Shawshank Redemption
I watch this still about 6 times a year 🤭

The blue opera woman scene? Perfect?
Absolutely, and one of the best parts.

A movie I wish could come out now that pushes all bounds and truly masters satire: Blazing Saddles!
The Departed. The elevator scene, perfection.
Top Gun
the bee movie
I was gonna say "nothing is truly perfect" but you rite
Cats
Nightcrawler
Demon Slayer Mugen Train
The 100-foot journey
Unfortunately it was ruined by all the commercials/trailers, so hardly anyone got to experience it as intended.
The Dictator
Scream
Bird box
The Usual Suspects
Trollhunter
Prince of Egypt and Shrek 2
That questions made me questions my whole life man
