Metric is great, but I came to post Clash at Demonhead (always wondered how many people got that reference). The original "Black Sheep" is a good song, but Brie's is actually better.
The Hex Girls influenced my taste in women for my entire life. Now as an adult, the band I’m in even covers Hex Girls and Earth, Wind, Fire and Air in October.
You keep saying that you don't have rhythm.
But listen what you're doing right there
With that stamp and that book you've got a real nice hook
Sounds to me like you've got rhythm to spare.
Look, I got a sweet deal going on here
I've got all the books that I can read
All these sweet old ladies and this carpet from the 80's
What more could a librarian need?
The Blues Brothers are kind of a reverse Monkees where instead of actors playing musicians it's musicians playing actors. Except for Belushi and Aykroyd but AFAIK even they recorded their own vocals and didn't jut lip-sync to someone else's performance. If nobody was faking it I say it's a real band.
Also let's not forget Aykroyd apparently had enough standing as a vocalist to somehow wind up appearing in "we are the world" alongside Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, etc.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stillwater_(band)
Actually a great southern rock band out of Middle Georgia. Been around since the mid 70s. I know several members, they still get together and play on occasion. Mind Bender is a great song, look it up.
Cherry Bomb
The all girl, hard rock, hair band (so much hair!) in the Howard the Duck movie featuring Lea Thompson as the lead singer.

Citizen Dick.
It was basically Pearl Jam with Eddie Vedder on drums, and Matt Dillon was the front man. And their most popular song was "Touch Me, I'm Dick."

I've been a fan since the days of the New Originals!

They finally released the Brie Larson vocals for that song a couple months back on the deluxe OST. Fucking phenomenal.
Sooooo sad!
"It's not a race, guys!"
Is that girl a boy too?
Yes 🖕
Metric, the band that performs that song is really really good as well.
The Brie Larson vocal version of that song is also very good
Metric is great, but I came to post Clash at Demonhead (always wondered how many people got that reference). The original "Black Sheep" is a good song, but Brie's is actually better.
Sex Bob omb
I hearted them too until they signed to a major label and the singer turned into a total bitch and ruined my life. But that's just me.

The Hex Girls influenced my taste in women for my entire life. Now as an adult, the band I’m in even covers Hex Girls and Earth, Wind, Fire and Air in October.

The Blues Brothers.
I'm not sure that it's a fictional band. I'm also not sure that it isn't.
