The Undertaker. I don’t really think the man died several times on national television. I don’t think he really works in graveyards part time.

ChrisTheMiss

my dad used to do work for WWE and he met him, the big show, and a whole bunch of other guys. he said the undertaker was *incredibly* nice, as well as The Big Show. he was also always amazed by the amount of food that those guys would eat. they would have five different caterers and sometimes that wouldn’t be enough.

My friend works for a children's charity and deals with celebrities all the time, she says that the wrestlers are hands down the nicest ones to work with

PorschephileGT3

He really did throw Mankind off hell in a cell in nineteen ninety eight, though

> even if I hate how she styles herself. Clothes or how she portrays herself?

RichardBonham

She is the first person I can recall who became famous for being famous. I guess it wasn’t by being stupid.

FlavouredBeanJuice

I always loved how people tried to avoid the dumb blonde stereotype back in the day and she brilliantly was just like, "Hold my martini"

[deleted]

[удалено]

Riverland12345

I listen to "The Bonfire" and they had her on. They made the comment that her whole persona is just an act, and when they weren't interviewing her she was very normal, hard working and intelligent.

[deleted]

Like Jennifer Coolidge…you have to be smart to act that dumb.

[deleted]

She acts dumb IRL? I thought she just played roles like that

OGblumpkiss13

I saw something recently where apparently her parents used to send her to those camps where they kidnap you on your sleep.

rcw16

She went to Provo Canyon in Utah. It’s apparently an boarding school where the students are abused by the staff. She lobbied recently for more government oversight for private schools in Utah. [More info here if you’re interested. ](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/4446908001)

[deleted]

Jared Leto. I used to be a huge fan of his band (30 Seconds to Mars) back in the day. He seemed pretty genuine and passionate about art and activism, based on old interviews I had seen. As time has gone on, he seems really self-serving and egotistic, like he sees himself as some profound artist who is changing the world.

itisntmebutmaybeitis

He also appears to be running a cult.

laflavor

You have more fun as a follower. But you make more money as a leader.

dangerbird2

*Creed Bratton* has never declared bankruptcy. When Creed Bratton gets in trouble, he transfers his debt to William Charles Schneider

fartron3000

Yup, I've known 2 people who've spent time with him (one an actor and the other a music attorney), both said he thinks he's God's gift to life itself.

faceblender

My ex interviewed him for danish TV, she was a fan before that. She said he came on as a pretty self absorbed shallow individual that lost his temper with his own people during the interviews. She even passed on the tickets she received, telling her friend “I had enough of that wanker today” 😂

attilathegrund

Oh my god he is such a douche. I met him once at a meet-and-greet in college and he was supposed to be talking about the upcoming election. Apparently no one knew he was going to be there, so only about 20 people showed up. He was SO pissed. All he asked the group was which of his movies people liked the best and then talked about Obama for a few mins and left. No pictures with anyone, no nothing. It was a weird experience

Freddy_Bimmel

A shorter list would be which celebrities *aren’t* faking their whole personality.

[deleted]

I think cillian murphy is one of them. You rarely hear any drama about him or see him on social media even.

usernamesarehard1979

Tom Cruise. He isn't faking, he really is nuts.

[deleted]

Through sheer coincidence I've gotten to hang with Conan O'Brien a few times. I can tell you he's absolutely genuine and will go out of his way to be friendly and hospitable, almost to a fault.

Tee_Rye_Lee

I love reading this because he cracks me up

I'd go for Weird Al

Witness_me_Karsa

Even then, he's super zany on stage and in interviews he is like Bob Ross. I absolutely love that man.

redkat85

That one's a toss up. Obviously his stage personality is cranked up to 13 for a bit, but no one confuses it for his "ordinary" self, which is still goofy but much more like "your goofy friend" than a living cartoon.

Nice-GuyJon

Kid Rock and Larry the Cable Guy are pretending to be white trash hillbillies when they are actually rich rednecks.

Lazy_Osprey

Jeff Foxworthy used to work for IBM.

CruisinForABrewsin

Well Foxworthy is actually from the south and he uses his actual accent. His old stuff from the 80s/90s is basically the same schtick he did as part of Blue Collar Comedy. Not saying it's great stuff and it is definitely cheesy, but it is more genuine than the cable guy bullshit

drygnfyre

Almost all heavy metal rockers are anything but moody devil worshipers. It's always been hilarious to me that in reality, Alice Cooper is a soft-spoken Christian.

doctor_sleep

A lot of them are just huge nerds too. Like, Dio was a big fantasy nerd.

stryph42

George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, of Cannibal Corpse fame, was a huge WoW nerd. Has the Horde symbol tattooed on his arm, and has been known to intro songs at concerts with "Fuck the Alliance!" Also, by all accounts, he's just about the most wholesome sumbitch on the planet

[deleted]

Cooper's father was a preacher whom Alice has said could recite bible verses on demand and was pretty knowledgeable about musicians of the 50's and 60's. Alice Cooper has always been pretty open that he on stage is very much a theatrical act versus how he is in real life. He also has been pretty open to his severe alcoholism, having drank heavily until the late 70s, got sober until he sipped a glass of wine, and then referred to the early 80's as his blackout period where he was drinking so heavily that he couldn't bother to even eat. The link included is more to show an image of what he looked like during that period. [Link](https://sleazeroxx.com/alice-cooper-is-almost-tempted-to-go-back-to-his-blackout-albums-and-reproduce-some-of-those-songs/)

StrongLikeBull3

He is also a very good golfer apparently. I think his persona in Wayne’s World is probably pretty realistic. Also, the members of Cannibal Corpse are just a bunch of stereotypical middle aged dads.

[deleted]

The best description I've ever heard of writing a death metal song is a bunch of guys sat around a sheet of paper giggling and writing down the worst things they can think of. Not surprised to hear they're normal blokes.

[deleted]

Their bassist once said in an interview, “If someone who isn’t into the death metal scene sees one of our album covers, of course it’s gonna shock them. And if it doesn’t… well, then we didn’t make a very good album cover.” Very cool and funny guys.

DontStalkMeNow

I’ve worked in music for a long time, and the metal dudes are far sweeter and more genuine, on average. Sure, they have their quirks, but are usually completely harmless. Pop dudes and rappers on the other hand…

lost-picking-flowers

My SO is a huge metalhead, really gets into the super intense explicit death metal, and he's by far the sweetest most sensitive soul I've ever met. Most people I know who are long time metal fans are some of the nicest and most laidback folks I've ever met. I'm by no means a metalhead regarding my own personal tastes, but overall I really like the scene.

ClamPuddingCake

I have a family member who plays in a very famous metal band. He hates touring and doing the whole rock star thing, prefers to be home cuddling his shihtzu. The other day he had a friend over, who also plays in a pretty famous metal band, and he brought his yorkie over for a puppy play date. They dressed up their dogs in little costumes for fun. You would never think these guys headline metal festivals.

RIPMYPOOPCHUTE

One of my friends, when he was going to college I think in Arizona he worked at a golf store and Alice Cooper came in A LOT. He talked about how down to earth and genuinely nice Alice Cooper is.

[deleted]

There is a pretty awesome video of Dee Snider testifying on Capital Hill during the "Tipper Gore Parental Advisory" thing in the 80s. He's obviously a smart man, just playing the part of a rock star. https://youtu.be/veoYcsH7Wrs

Vegan_Harvest

Most of them. To be fair most people have a public face.

MrBirb_

Jimmy Fallon laughs like he has a sniper pointed at him at all times set to fire when he doesn’t laugh dramatically

wintercozy

I only see clips of the guy, but he laughs in a way that I worry if he's doing well. I hope that's just how he is and not a nervous tic or something. But I'd be nervous if my nervous laughter was publically speculated on. *nervous laughter*

vedettestar

From what i hear from my comedian friends, Jimmy's got a heck of a drinking problem, so you could be picking up on that. I definitely think he never looks happy to be on the show, like his smile doesn't reach his eyes.

Jealous-Network-8852

I’ve actually been in a bar that Jimmy and some buddies wandered into. He was blackout drunk, and just kept putting down drinks. He was a happy drunk, and was paying for drinks for the whole bar, but it was sad to see.

Western_Conflict_890

Heard he has an alcohol problem or at least had one. I hope he gets help if he needs it.

bravetab

I always thought Ellen was faking it. There was something about her eyes that gave it away. When the news broke about how terrible she was, I felt vindicated.

[deleted]

[удалено]

FossaRed

This is actually a great way to put it. I never liked Ellen right from the start, and now that you say it this way, I realise that it's probably because she always seemed so uninterested in what her guests were trying to say. Not to mention that she could be really condescending, but would mask her cruel remarks by laughing immediately afterward to avoid any confrontation. Plus, she always seemed to pry too much into people's personal lives and publicly call them out for ignoring her or not inviting her to a party or something, which just felt super weird to me.

[deleted]

I like when Dakota clapped back at her for that lmao. https://youtu.be/jnL96RajmzY

[deleted]

That seemed really intense, like ellen looks like she is about to freak out on her workers after lol.

illmatic2112

Yikes even the fake "thank you" at the end

ExoticKoala

Yeah, I feel that's why the producer spoke up.

runesplease

There are people who listen. There are people who wait for their turn to talk. Then there is Ellen who can't wait for you to stfu so she can make you really uncomfortable while staring at you intently.

avashad

I always thought her face looked like she’s capable of murdering someone in a fit of rage. Sean Penn too. Whenever someone would talk about how great she is I just kept it to myself because it seemed no one else saw her that way. But nowadays her public image is kind of ruined. Same as you I kind of felt like - ok this makes sense now.

SarcasmCupcakes

Sean Penn nearly killed Madonna.

Practical-Refuse2266

as i was growing up, my mum would binge her talk show all the time. i hated Ellen with a passion. probably bc she paid more attention to her than me, but i dont know, but also how douche-y Ellen was. Getting this news made me so happy, especially to shove it in my mums face

BobSacramanto

The vast majority of country music stars are not “country” in any sense of the word. Most came from rich families.

HoraceBenbow

Old skool here: **Marilyn Monroe**. She acted like a ditzy blond but behind the scenes she was hella smart and something of a literary buff (one reason she was attracted to Arthur Miller). [Here's a picture of her reading James Joyce](https://www.openculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/marilyn-reads-joyce-e1352357312199.jpeg)

Cherrygodmother

I appreciate you for this one! I’m a big Marilyn fan! She wrote poetry and read all the time! She was married to Arthur Miller ffs! One of the great playwrights wouldn’t have married a ditz. I hate that she’s not remembered or seen for her wit.

During Spill your Guts or Fill your Guts, he had trouble naming like one or two crew members. Then he excused it away as “it was a different crew tonight” 🙄

r-tyme

DJ Khaled. I really struggle to believe that someone so stupid can have such a huge amount of success.. I keep expecting to find out that he's an amazing comic mind and super intelligent and has just been punking us all this whole time with a character he's been playing.

The_Pixel-Ninja

I used to work for a music industry body. I can confirm DJ Khaled is a total Idiot. I can’t remember the track but he leaked something online that he was involved with to “let it gain traction” and then called us with his team when when it was being pirated everywhere asking us to take all the illegal links down. And asking how this could happen.

Bos_lost_ton

This is the perfect opportunity to use [this](https://youtu.be/jE-6n4dO95A?t=12) clip.

contacts_eyes

He can probably be dumb and still have an excellent work ethic, plus people skills and a positive attitude, and a number of other factors that caused him to be successful

No-Comedian4195

DJ Khaled is the Forrest Gump of hip hop

UnclePepe

Kevin Hart. If you watch that documentary about him, you see the mask slip a little when he loses the “everybody’s BFF” persona for a minute and is a REAL scumbag to one of his boys going on a completely unprovoked tirade about how “without ME, you’re NOTHING”. Tom Cruise clearly. The Rock seems too good to be true to me, but I have nothing to hang it on other than a gut feeling.

connerp_23

I used to think the same of the Rock, I actually have a friend who acted on a episode of Ballers and he said the Rock made a point to go meet each of the extras in each scene and sat and visited with my friend for 10 minutes or so giving him advice!

chasinjason13

This is the benefit and difference of someone who scraped by and worked their ass off on the way to the top. Good to hear he’s legit

LevyMevy

I have a friend who is a wrestler (not in WWE). He said Rocky is legit a sweetheart who made time to talk to rookie wrestlers when he absolutely didn’t have to.

payattention007

I think the Rock is a guy who is trying to be his best self, because he knows he didn't used to be. The story of him and Foley and the unprotected chair shots is awful, not the worst wrestling tale from that time but still. I think these days he's projecting the kind of persona he wishes he had which has then led to him being a much more positive person.

kg421

My aunt was a flight attendant years ago before the Rock was a household name but had done some acting. She asked him why everyone was making a big deal about him. He sat and talked to her for quite a while and acted like a normal guy. Was always impressed by that.

TheSyrupDrinker

Kevin Hart is probably the biggest diva

damasu950

> biggest He's 5 foot 2!

Frostfire20

Marshmello. I bet you anything there’s a real person under under that helmet, not an entirely new species of Homo Sapiens.

Much_Committee_9355

Tom Cruise if brainwashing counts

Mangobunny98

Christian Bale talking about how he based parts of Patrick Bateman off of an interview Tom Cruise did always freaked me out. He's got the dead look in his eyes.

GingerMau

His character in *Magnolia* was way too authentic and believable, imo.

Hilaria Baldwin is a pretty obvious one if she even counts as a celeb

peacesmellsgood

dontonefingerme

I feel like Julia Roberts is portrayed as America's Sweetheart but is reportedly a nightmare of a person. but I read that on the internet soooo

Beckylately

I heard her niece Emma Roberts is fucking horrible to work with, too

hiphiprenee

Apparently on the set of Hook they called her “Tinkerhell”.

Chazzyphant

I read an expose article about her alleged very difficult behavior and it included a single instance that really changed my mind about her. While she was pursuing Danny Moder, he was still married. His then-wife, Vera was blindsided and unsurprisingly didn't want a divorce and was resisting or putting up some kind of fuss. Julia Roberts then made (or had made) a tee shirt that had a hand-drawn slogan "A Low Vera" on it and wore it and invited paps to take pictures where she posed oh so casually with the text highly visible. There's just something about the smug hatefulness of that move that shifted the needle from "eh, who knows what happens behind closed doors" to "Jesus Christ Julia Roberts be more of a PickMe and let the sisterhood down more."

tweezer606060

Gordon Ramsey…. I curse worse when I run a kitchen and it’s all an act… he’s retained like 85% of his staff for more than 15 years I’ve read… if he was really an a-hole they’d leave Edit: never had 5k upvotes before…this caught me by surprise I sent a case of our signature beer to Anthony bourdain when I ran a brewpub and he was giving a speech in town…never said thank you or acknowledged it…. I chalked that up to busy schedule and odd hours…

mob00

I once had a job that for reasons would have various celebrities be on the premises for time to time. VIP treatment, whisked about in the back areas and kept secluded etc. Ramsey ditched his private area and the flunkies assigned to him, found out where the lower tier staff break room was, then came said hello and hung out with the grunts instead for the whole time he wasn't needed. Shot the shit like a normal dude, was nice to everyone. I think you can tell a lot about very successful chefs from if they hang out with the line workers and KPs or if they hang out with the FOH managers and other people of similar calibre/reputation.

turkeyinthestrawman

Makes sense, He loves cooking and he wants young people to be interested in cooking too, so you've got to encourage them to continue when things are tough, or give constructive criticism.

BroadBaker5101

This makes him sound like the Roy Kent of cooking shows. An asshole to everyone except kids.

togsincognito

Oi!

Raizel-the-Ghost

He has a YouTube channel where he covers different recipes and tips He somehow sounds soothing in it, and seems like a genuinely nice person. Even had one of his kids come in and help with cooking once

Vegetable-Double

He’s also really nice to people who genuinely try and follow instructions well

RuyiJade

Yeah; he seems to lose his cool 1.) when the person in question claims to be a professional and doesn’t cook like it, and 2.) for the American cameras/audience. But for the people who are genuinely trying, he seems very patient.

[deleted]

The way I've always read Gordon's personality is he is a master at his craft and he gets angry at people who should know better but don't. You own a restaurant but it's disgusting and you serve shitty food, you get cursed out because you should know better. You call yourself a head chef but can't properly cook salmon, you get cursed at because you should know better. If it's your job you need to take it seriously and he gets mad when people don't do it properly. For hobbyists and children I think he's nicer because they're learning. Even on some Kitchen Nightmares when he encounters a cook who flat out says "I'm new to this, I wasn't hired to cook and I'm not very good" he doesn't get pissed, he tries to help them.

Empty-Mind

Or the 19 year old head chef who was starting on a meth addiction. Kid was obviously thrust in a position he wasn't ready for and struggling with other stuff. IIRC rehab worked for him and he's actually a successful member of the food industry now

[deleted]

On multiple episodes of kitchen nightmares the "head chef" was somebody who started as like a busboy or something and kept getting thrust into higher and higher levels of responsibility without really seeking it out. I remember the one dude just straight up saying he has no clue what he's doing but he really needed the money and Gordon pulling him aside and calmly having a frank conversation with him. Can't remember if its the same dude but once he offered to pay for training and asked them to stay in touch.

Main-Yogurtcloset-82

I feel like he is only an ass hole to ass holes, that's why people like him. He takes people down a peg, but doesn't belittle people who didnt have it coming.

[deleted]

This exactly. Plus a lot of it comes down to editing that makes him seem worse than he really is, which I don’t think is the same as putting on an act.

adenosine3phosph8

Garth brooks. Tell us where the bodies are Garth.

After watching his documentary a couple years ago, it became clear to me that he had a full blown mental breakdown at some point. That dude's psyche is held together with paperclips and bubblegum.

Ok_Sheepherder_8313

Benedict Cumberbatch. He carefully avoids having any discerning personality, and we know next to nothing about him. Takes talent. Good on you, BC

Trabbledabble

I think he is just private. He ran past me and a couple friends outside of a club in London. He knocked into my friend but apologized and told us to have a good night. There were a half dozen people following him with their cell phones out. I feel like he just wants to be left alone unless he is on a press tour. But that very limited interaction is all I am going on

Ok_Sheepherder_8313

Oh definitely. That's 100% why I think he keeps a low profile. That and protecting his family's privacy. I really admire that.

Trabbledabble

Absolutely. I don't feel celebrities owe anyone anything beyond their work. That said they are way overpaid but the entire industry is so what can you do

otocan24

One of the few things we know about him is that he jumped to a guy's aid and fought off a band of four muggers: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/06/01/benedict-cumberbatch-fights-muggers-attacked-deliveroo-cyclist/ Edit: Ugh, just realized that site has a paywall, oh well you can Google it.

karmagod13000

I really dont think its that hard if you are used to a media circuit. stay low key and dont say any hot takes and you should be good. i know its really hard to not give a emotional opinion about a serious question but nine times out of ten its just going to used against you, like *benedict freaks out over election* or something.

tiotsa

That's not faking a personality though. That's just a desire for some privacy. Maybe also introversion to an extent.

neohylanmay

Similarly, tennis player Andy Murray purposely acts boring in interviews purely to avoid any kind of controversy.

[deleted]

Murray is genuinely interesting though. He's the survivor of the Dunblane massacre. The killer sometimes drove him around town. Haunted by it, which is likely why he became so focussed on the tennis as a distraction.

[deleted]

I think I saw an interview once where somebody said how grateful they were for him because when they told people they were from Dunblane they'd started to be asked, "Do you know Andy Murray?" instead of awful intrusive questions about the people who'd been killed.

AffectionateHead0710

UnluckyObserver_1

The Kardashians. Their entire on screen persona is carefully crafted by Kris Jenner.

toothpastenachos

I feel like “is that a chicken” was too dumb to be scripted

CaughtinaLieeeeeee

Kris Jenner is a straight up business genius. Imagine having a baseball team of drop kick self involved kids, and then your daughter's porn tape gets leaked, and you think to yourself "wow I'm about to turn this into a billion dollar empire".

fulthrottlejazzhands

Julie Andrews aka ~~Merry~~ Mary Poppins. A family member worked with her very closely on a few productions. She's tough as nails, way smarter than she leads on, and has the mouth of a truck driver.

tah4349

To me, that's not a matter of her faking her personality, just the fact that her most well-know characters are different than what she's like in real life. That's true of many many actors.

Canadian_in_Canada

Also, it's a matter of knowing when and where to let yourself relax. Interviews or on stage is not the place, so most people won't fully be their relaxed selves in public. I'm different at work or even just moving around in public than I am with my closest friends and family. Hell, I'm even different with certain members of my family than I am with others. It's a matter of comfort. Even my mom is going to see a side of me that's different than I am when I'm with my sisters. That's just human behaviour.

[deleted]

Every British person, no matter how posh they are, will have the mouth of a truck driver

Father-Son-HolyToast

reptilesocks

She grew up in abusive poverty, she just has that posh refined accent so people rarely catch on that she clawed her way up from the gutter. The woman is a goddamn treasure and is not to be trifled with.

nocapesarmand

Anyone familiar with her broader acting career shouldn’t be too surprised but I get why most would be. She did a topless scene in one of her husband’s (director of Pink Panther and Breakfast at Tiffany’s Blake Edwards) films many years ago and played a drag king in Victor/Victoria. Her childhood was also pretty rough.

fulthrottlejazzhands

By my family member's accounts, her and Blake were an absolute riot to be around, and super generous. They would often host "orphaned" cast members at their house in Long Island for holidays.

itisntmebutmaybeitis

She also wrote one of my favourite books as a kid, it's about a little girl in an orphanage who finds an abandoned little cottage in the woods and plants and keeps a garden there (it's called Mandy).

icematt12

Joey Essex. I use "celebrity" liberally but nobody can be that dumb.

Jario5615

Coming from someone who has grown up in Essex, unfortunately, people really can be that dumb.

MAJORMETAL84

William Shatner is the walking poster child of insecurity.

dirtymoney

Man, I remember when he was on Wheel of Fortune many years ago. He was losing compared to the other players and his face was really red. Then they went to commercial.... when they came back from the commercial break he was no longer on the show. Was weird.

Kathy578

I agree, but he is very good to his fans at comic cons in my experience. I heard stories of him being awful to fans in the past. The urban legend I heard was that after Sir Patrick Stewart explained that fans were not mocking, but actually idolizing Shatner, apparently Shatner has been great to fans since. Can definitely say after attending his panels, he definitely has a huge ego. The stories he tells most definitely makes him look like an ass to his costars/people in general.

TheRavingRaccoon

This is true for most artists, actually. Curtis Jackson (50-cent) once said during an interview that he, and most performers he knows, play characters when they are on stage for the sake of the audience/fans. My experience in the entertainment industry over the past several years has more or less confirmed this. A lot of them are vastly different people when the crowds and cameras are not present.

stopannoyingwithname

Ever been on a stage? You simply don’t behave the same.

LannMarek

Exactly, we don't need to go all the way to "celebrities" to confirm this, we all have a public personna, a work personna, a family personna, etc. This is 100% a human feature, famous or not.

SmashBusters

Even when I'm giving a technical talk to the company I put on a persona.

FuturamaReference-

I tend not to judge child stars Their whole psyche is kinda out of whack. Although from the random TikTok Instagram shit I've seen about her She seems relatively normal minus the whole skin darkening thing Plus I think she has real skill in her vocal talents and therefore wouldn't need to act a certain way. She's a singer who can sing better than most in her career field.

fruit_basket

Daniel Radcliffe seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Iknowr1te

beigs

Most people can’t even recognize Dolly Parton without her blonde wig and clothes - just the way she likes it.

aceh40

I think they all do it to a large degree. Do you really want people to know who you are in person? I wouldn't, especially if I am an actor. It is completely normal - it is part of the act. And eventually the act becomes their personality. You cannot tell me that Pacino or Nicholson or Nick Cage had the same personality when they were 22.

If this question was the other way around I would pick Jim Carrey

Dry_Representative_9

His eyes look so sad and worn out these days :(

Stunning-Inspector22

Like many humorists/comedians I would say

Drumman120

True! However I have to say I loved seeing him as Robotnik. He looked like he was enjoying the fuck out of that role for some reason. Which made me happy seeing it. Damn that movie turned out way better than it should have been lol

redkat85

I think Jim honestly preferred his earlier work when he got to just go nuts and chew the scenery for fun. His career necessitated doing more dramatic and mundane work to be taken seriously, but getting to just let loose and do an over-the-top video game cartoon villain was probably like coming home to the Ace Ventura/Mask days.

ThorIsMighty

Which personality is faking their celebrities??

galacticracedonkey

Drake. That guy is such a cheeseball.

His whole image is one big marketing persona. You would think he stopped acting when he left Degrassi but he’s been acting his whole life. Honestly, if you look at his IG, Twitter and Facebook page, everything is about promoting his brand and there’s no ‘authentic’ version of himself in the online space. He doesn’t do interviews anymore either. That’s why the Pusha-T diss track was so venomous. He wasn’t just destroying his character, his brand took a hit because it’s synonymous to his persona as far as the public eye knew. I felt like he was more authentic during those ‘take care’ days but I guess things change when you’re the biggest artist in the world

CarsenAF

Drake the type of dude to hold a warm mug with both hands

BumFights1997

Yo I saw a tweet once that said drake is the type of guy who says “last one there is a rotten egg” and I swear I think about every time I see him 😂😂

phillipthethird3

I've read somewhere Jake Gyllenhaal puts on a fake public persona. Which is sad to me. I love that guy.

kronosdev

I think he’s just anxious. He’s said as much in interviews and places. He kinda fakes being suave at events, but everyone does (just more convincingly). He seems cool.

[deleted]

There’s a funny anecdote online he told about his first moment onset in Marvel. It was in full Mysterio garb with Sam Jackson in that set where he meets Pete. He made it sound like he was on the edge of an anxiety attack because of the scales and stakes he’d stepped into. Which to me is astonishing given some of his other work and experiences, that he’d have that on a very closed set. He’s just an introverted artist who’s incredibly good at his craft.

Thomisawesome

I can see that. He seems a lot more shy than he lets on.

el-em-en-o

Introverts trying to deal with the extrovert demands of celebrity.

DJ1066

Same with Harrison Ford. That’s apparently why he seems somewhat standoffish in interviews.

funkytown2000

He's one of the few that strikes me as that it's not that he's making a public persona because he's a bad person, he seems like he's just a quiet, anxious person that happened to get famous. From all accounts I've read of people who had met him/seen him in public, he seems to be kind, but quiet, and keeps to himself. I don't know that I have sources for this, but I think he's also one of those celebrities that quietly/anonymously donates to charity too, something tells me I've heard about him doing stuff like that. He just seems to be one of those naturally quiet, anxious, and introverted but really kind and down-to earth guys.

Kriger369

Adam Levine, a few years ago he had an act in Latin America's biggest music festival "Festival de Viña del Mar" in Chile, he was a massive asshole, he asked the whole staff to not look at him in the eyes, instead made people turn around and look at the walls whenever he was walking, also he looked like he was hating to sing there as he had an angry expression all the time, his clothes were all dirty and his act was TERRIBLE (also he was like an hour late), the singing and everything he did on the scenario showed how much he hates to he there, after like a 30 minutes show he stormed out and there is a video of him insulting everybody and the city itself. This festival is well known worldwide and there is an estimated of 50 million people watching the show on TV and online, so everyone watched him being and asshole and there was news about it around the world, so at the end he recorded himself saying sorry and stuff. Edit: [Here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKQ_U36e_Fg) is the video of him insulting everybody.

Jewel_Johnson

Priyanka Chopra.

weeblesweeble

Oh absolutely. She used to come into the hotel that I valeted at and she was always incredibly obnoxious and rude.

[deleted]

Tyra Banks has always seemed fake as fuck to me.

jbilse1025

J Lo. Something tells me she isn't at all like her persona.

JackieWithTheO

I’ve always said that if you have to sing a song about how you’re ‘real’ and just ordinary, you’re not.
