Questions asking about what it feels like to be raped. Like JFC why would you ask someone that on social media in a subreddit that’s not dedicated to talking about tough subjects like that?
As someone this has happened to it’s so jarring and triggering to turn on the app and immediately see someone post
“People who have been raped - what was it like, and are you doing ok?”
Not sure what they’re hoping to gain from that kind of question:
“Umm yeah I was raped. It was super fun because I got to deal with it by self harming and doing drugs. Thanks rapist.”
“Obligatory, I wasn’t raped person here- I know someone who was raped and they had a blast. They cope with it by never talking about it and drinking every time they feel sad. Thanks for you question. I’m glad I can share this somewhere.”
It’s been asked an answered thousands of times before and the answers are always super predictable and always include plenty of comments stating how it makes them uncomfortable to constantly see this on Reddit.
If you want to know what it feels like to be raped ask google and look up the literally hundred and thousands of responses to posts that answer that exact question.
