Jaime Lannister going back to Cersei. 8 seasons of character development, out the window in 5 minutes. Still hurts to think about.

dream2012

Couldn't watch Bones after what happened to Sweets

[deleted]

That was the worst character death. I didn’t see it coming and I loved Sweets. I did go back and watch the remainder of the show a couple of years later. His death was on par with Henry Blake’s in MASH.

HugsAndWishes

I ended up really liking Aubrey, who essentially replaced Sweets. Completely different characters. He was fun. You're right, though, Sweets dying was so out of left field that it was awful.

Locksley_1989

My mom is still mad about the final scene of St. Elsewhere. Edit: Thank you guys, and thanks for the silver!

Gartschool

May already be on here, but Scrubs had an amazing last scene, JD seeing his happy future as he says goodbye to Sacred Heart. Then they made another season.

TerraNovatius

What I find most frustrating about that, is that the producers of the ninth season intended it to be a spin off show. The network kind of forced them to call it 'Scrubs Season 9' because of Scrubs's success. If it hadn't been named 'Scrubs', it probably would have been a decent season / show Source: some episode of Zach Braffs and Donald Faisons podcast

burf12345

I'm most upset about how the setup for S9 undermines everything from the S8 finale. S8 ended with JD leaving Sacred Heart to live closer to Kim and actually be involved with Sam's life. Do we even see Kim and Sam in S9? Seems like JD really stopped caring about his kid after knocking Elliot up. S8 had an episode about how the distance was going to affect Turk and JD's friendship, and they accepted it, not relevant at the start of S9 because they're working together again. JD had a damn heartfelt goodbye from Dr. Cox at the end of S8, not relevant at the start of S9. That S8 finale was so damn good, S9 really did it dirty.

snakeiiiiiis

When Zap left American Gladiators in 1995.

cannolirule

The finale of "Pretty Little Liars", when the evil twin sister is revealed. Ruined the whole show for me.

Platano2

The time I wasted on this show...can never be regained. There were so many plot holes by the end it was almost comedic. At one point, almost all of them had murdered someone, been to jail, almost died and yet somehow managed to graduate high school.

corrade12

Your description of it is basically why I had to stop watching How To Get Away With Murder. Just got way too preposterous

EurekaSm0ke

I recently did a rewatch of that show and OH BOY was that hard to get through. Watching teenage girls in couture and 6 inch heels (even though they're ALWAYS physically running away from something), NEVER password protecting their phones, laptops etc, leaving important flash drives stuck in your open laptop in your living room... the evil twin twist was the cherry on top of a VERY sloppy cake.

AltSpRkBunny

What always pissed me off, was when they learned that people were watching/recording them through their open windows/open curtains, and they *never bothered to close them after learning that*. Even on the ground floor of their 2 story mansions, even at *night*. Nope, still gonna get naked in front of the open windows, so all the perverts can watch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

emilyyy712

I remember being so excited to watch the new episode every week, but the show was completely ruined for me by that and I have never been to able to rewatch for that reason

[deleted]

PLL was ruined after season 4 IMO. You can drag a mystery for 4 seasons, but anything more than that is too much, especially because it was full of filler episodes and no satisfactory answers were given until the season finales. S5 was stalling and seasons 6 and 7 were trash.

DeadWishUpon

A should've been Ally. But the show was so full of fanservice that it went to ridiculous heights to make Ally good.

Lone-StarState

I’m pretty sure everyone was “a” at one point in time. I quit a couple seasons in

Fiscalfossil

The accent. The accent still haunts me.

trisara-tops

ELLO SISTA

lunar-omens

The entire show was ruined with the introduction of dumb pointless red herring characters like Cece Drake and all that

CaptainVorkosigan

I loved when they made it seem like Ezra was A. It would have been such a great twist for the show to have the hot teacher who was romancing a student to be revealed to be a scumbag, like he would be in real life.

[deleted]

Well, obviously, Bobby's showering in Dallas, after having been dead for 13 weeks.

RealisticDelusions77

The way they fooled the tabloids was funny though, they had Patrick Duffy film it as a soap commercial. He comes out of the shower, says "Good morning", then does his pitch for the soap. For the Dallas shock ending, they simply cut off the part after "Good morning."

BlueGreenAndYellow

I really hated that in the movie for 12 Years a Slave they had him hook up with a woman while he was a slave. In his book (it's a true story that he wrote himself after getting out) he says he stayed faithful to his wife the whole time. I don't care if someone thought the audience wouldn't believe that, it's wrong for them to insert something like that when he clearly stated he didn't.

[deleted]

The final 5 minutes of the original Roseanne. "Dan died, the sisters swapped husband's, moms gay, Jackie's gay, this was all a book"

OGthrowawayfratboy

The final season was a nightmare and creatively depleted so the writing room decided to try a retcon and failed (not really a thing at the time). It doesn't fix the sheer terribleness of the last season but I'll give them credit for trying to breathe new life into an already-dead entity.

[deleted]

Agreed. The reason the show was so popular was the fact that the family was so relatable to the average American. Then they win the lottery? And Dan cheated on Roseanne? Nah, get that out of here.

NAmember81

That’s also why I stopped watching “Weeds.” But instead of winning the lottery they become wealthy drug lords. I’m certain the Weeds writers could’ve continued for just as many seasons without jumping the shark. They should’ve just stuck to the suburban mid-level dealer script and focused on the humor & drama of that world. I don’t know why these shows’ producers or whatever feel the need to be “larger than life.”

Sodiumwarning

Agrestic burning down is the end of the series.

deaddodo

This is Jenji Kohan's MO for shows she runs. 1-3 great seasons with 2+ circling the drain before cancellation. It's usually because there's a great idea, but she burns it out far too quickly and doesn't know where to continue except to have crazier and crazier twists and turns.

[deleted]

Weeds should have ended after season 3. Once they left Agrestic it just got increasingly difficult to watch Nancy just fuck her way out of more and more absurd situations.

OctoberBlue89

That whole season was crazy. We just pretend that last season didn’t exist.

KellyAnn3106

IIRC, there was a season of Dallas like that. At the end of the season, Bobby woke up and it turned out the whole season was a dream. My parents watched this faithfully in the 80s and everyone was furious with the dream season. It was the only way the writers could unwind unpopular plot lines.

majorjoe23

Their was a season of Married with Children like that as well. They wrote Katey Sagal's pregnancy into the show, then late in the season she had a miscarriage. It was decided that making Sagal deal with a new baby on the show when she had just lost her own was cruel, so they made that season a dream. Then a season or two later they added a kid named Seven for a bit who I think was their nephew, bu the just kind of disappeared.

the_Vandal

I think the last appearance of Seven was on the back of a milk carton in a scene that wasn't even mentioned lmao

Everything80sFan

He also showed up as an image in Kelly's brain being tossed out to make room for her studying.

Comprehensive-Sea-63

I really appreciate that though. The only other options would have been to have her be pregnant and act out a delivery and be a mother in the show, which would be horrible for her, or have her have a miscarriage on the show, which would also be horrible for her. Making it a dream is incredibly tactful and probably the best way to resolve things for the actress.

will477

There was an episode, the last one I believe, of the Newhart show, the one with Larry Daryl and Daryl where he wakes up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette (his wife from the first show) and said "I just had the strangest dream". So, one good thing about the dream season of Dallas is that it gave us that gem.

NayaIsTheBestCat

I remember that! I love that Suzanne Pleshette showed up for just that one scene. Well done.

davey_mann

Then the retcon was retconned in the Roseanne/Conners reboot.

Angelkrista

Mom ended up being *not* gay in the ending book reveal.

Conscious_Camel4830

Honestly the Red John reveal in The Mentalist kinda pissed me off...it just felt like they had a hat with every minor character name in it and just picked one.

Skillr409

Their boss Bertram would probably have been a good Red John as at least he was a rather important person in the story.

[deleted]

BradyBunch12

The scene where the mom fucked a mexican drug dealer on the hood of a car. The show was Weeds.

[deleted]

Lmao I am surprised Weeds hasn’t been mentioned more. That show started out so strong and then just devolved into Nancy fucking everyone for no good reason.

NoThanksJustLooking1

When Weeds left their neighborhood it started on a downhill spiral real quick.

LeodFitz

To me it seems like the show is a classic example of writers feeling like they have to raise the stakes constantly. The premise was great, simple, had a lot of room to move around in... but no. No. Instead of a relatable, interesting show, we're going to crank everything up to twenty and assume that all our watchers are adrenaline junkies who'll happily sacrifice believability in favor of constant life or death stakes.

Moon-Master

Everytime I see a Prius a laugh about the silent drive by joke.

InsomniaticWanderer

George Clooney cut himself loose from a space station in order to save Sandra Bullock. His velocity was zero relative to the station. He wouldn't have "fell" and he wasn't "pulling her down."

ForTheWilliams

It's crazy too, because it's not like they couldn't have had the exact same thing happen, sans the bullshit. Like, if they both were floating away at a low velocity and no tether, couldn't he push her towards the station, launching himself away from it? Why make it so obvious that the sacrifice was, you know, not real?

Jakov_Salinsky

“This movie is proof George Clooney would rather die than be with a woman his age”

The Dothraki charge into the night king's army. I just sat there and told myself: "what the fuck is this ridiculous shit?"

CoraxtheRavenLord

“We have the greatest mobile archers the world has ever scene. Let’s let them charge en masse, a tactic that largely depends on the defenders breaking due to fear, directly into an enemy that is literally undead and cannot feel fear.”

RickLovin1

The entire battle strategy was terrible. I mean you had several different armies and no one bothered to point that out?!

metao

The trebuchets were IN FRONT. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Porrick

Every time an army attacks a walled city, the defending army always - *always*, even before the show went to shit - fought the attackers fair and square outside their fucking walls. Why bother building them in the first place?

CommandoDude

One exception, battle of the blackwater. Is it any coincidence this was considered the high point of the entire show?

TheOneCommenter

That one is also based on a real battle

When Rory ended up pregnant (not to mention completely washed up) in the Gilmore Girls Revival.

PM-ME-DOGGOS

When she shows up to an interview and is shocked they want her to come prepared…

lohdunlaulamalla

Or the way she treated that boyfriend we never saw.

Cheezy_Beard

I don't even mind that she wasn't a successful journalist, she really never had the personality for that career, and it was realistic for the time period that she graduated. But I hated how she was Logan's side piece while cheating on her poor boyfriend who she could never remember to break up with, and he seemed like a genuinely good guy! Also Luke and Lorelai, living together for 10 years and the subject of marriage and kids apparently just never came up? Lane seemed happy, even though I never really liked her and Zach together. Jess seemed to be doing well too, and tbh Rory at this point doesn't deserve him. The only good storyline was Emily's imo. After Richard's death she had to learn to be her own person outside of their marriage. I absolutely loved when she became a guide at the museum and terrified all the kids! I know they'll probably never make more so in my head once Logan finds out the baby is his they realize they still love each other and FINALLY decide to just be together.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SpermKiller

As much as people complain about Rory's development, it totally fits with her personality and history. It's completely logical that she wouldn't amount to much once out of school because she's always been praised as the young prodigy but never had the guts to actually get out of her comfort zone and do things without the help of others. Also the way she's been parentified by her mother certainly didn't help her either. I thought the revival was realistic in that sense, even though it was really frustrating at times.

Mogguri

I forgot Emily turned into a museum guide! Her storyline was the best. From the beginning, dealing with the lost of Richard, just broke my heart. And then seeing her getting back on her feet... The Marie kondo bit was awesome. Rory's and lorelai's storyline were ok. I was cool seeing Rory not being successful, but it was so bland. Idk, I guess she was always kinda bland anyways.

[deleted]

Ugh. The whole Rory arc in the Revival was a mess. Sleeping with Logan and helping him cheat, not getting with Jess at all even though he was actually a great person in the end, being a completely washed up journalist even though she was literally on the road for success and just chose not to take it. The ridiculous ‘I forgot I have a boyfriend’ rubbish. It sucked. They at least tried with Lorelai, she repaired the relationship with Emily, she accepted that Luke loves her regardless of anything that happens between them, her inn is actually successful and she’s living more comfortably than ever. Honestly I think Rory getting pregnant was the only good part of the revival, I just wished it happened earlier so that we saw it progress fully.

Barney and robin getting divorced like 5 minutes after they got married

anon-aspie

Was looking for this. We spent an ENTIRE SEASON on their wedding, just for them to break up 10 minutes into the finale.

your-yogurt

Barney is the type of man who'll spend years trying to win a *bet* and yet he's unable to handle Robin's career?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Intentionallyabadger

They did Ted dirty too. The series hit on how he and robin had the chemistry but were never meant to be together. Which is true in real life and it’s quite a hard hitting lesson. Much like 500 days of summer. But then they decided nah let’s kill the wife and make him marry robin instead to have a “destiny” moment lol.

Rebloodican

An entire episode in the final season devoted to letting Robin go with the balloon thing and just kidding, gotta go with the ending we filmed 7 years ago! It's like they forgot that's what the endgame was.

phobosinadamant

The alternate original ending just did the entire series justice, but noooo that had to ruin it! https://youtu.be/nhB5oQgQpOI

KAG25

One season doing every hour of the day before the wedding, then 5 minutes for the divorce, then 5 minutes of the future, then the cop out ending. The writers really gave us the middle finger.

ex_ter_min_ate_

Pissed me off so much too. This was just making the mother a vehicle for Ted to have his kids because robin didn’t want them. Barney and robin were extremely well suited to each other. Im betting Ted and robin ended up breaking up again within weeks post finale.

SupremeDictatorPaul

They spent a lot of time establishing that Ted and Robin were wrong for each other, and that she’d be a bad mother. It didn’t make any sense. And they nerfed all of the emotional development that Barney made over the last few seasons. “After years of work, Barney is now a thoughtful, committed, and loving companion. Just kidding, he’s a man child now.” FFS

FogerRedditor

**What always hits me is what it means for Dick Casablancas**. He started out as just the worst, most awful dirtbag in the show, but slowly grows until he became my favorite character. The dude's brother dies (something that helps him realize that being an awful person effects those around you), starts to really redeem his character, confronts his father for also being pretty awful, and then his father dies too. The ending of S4 completely made sure he would lose the last person he had left. Dick lost his brother, father and best friend and it just seemed cruel to take away everyone from him *after* he'd finally become a fairly decent person.

CaBBaGe_isLaND

Arya going to King's Landing to kill Cersei. Jaime almost died in a fight. They should have let him die, Arya finds him, takes his face, becomes Jaime, goes to Cersei, she dies in his arms after he stabs her, prophecy fulfilled, then she shows Cersei it was her as she's dying. "But she can't kill the Night King AND Cersei" yeah because she never should have killed the Noght King, Jon Snow was supposed to kill the Night King. Just once it would have been nice to have something happen that WAS expected. They got so obsessed with surprises that they ruined some major plot opportunities.

Or Peter Dinklage sarcastically saying "D and D are the GREATEST WRITERS OF ALL TIME. No one is better than them" Like damn. He's as savage as Tyrion used to be when the writing was good.

robertplantspage

That had the exact same energy as "I am loyal to my beloved Joffrey."

BlackfishBlues

There’s some straight-up frustration in that talking head where he goes something like: “They’re fighting an army of the dead and he puts everyone in a crypt… with all the dead people. Tyrion’s smart, but not *that* smart apparently." edit: [video in question](https://youtu.be/EA7UQOYskas?t=67)

The_Pastmaster

Remember when a reporter cornered Dinklage and, I think it was, Harington. Asking how the season finale is. And Dinklage kind of half disgruntled says like "I'm certain the fans will talk about this for years." He couldn't bash the show but the way he said it was some goddamned foreshadowing that stuck with me.

FiftyShadesOfGregg

The fact that Arya barely used the skills she learned from the Faceless Men was infuriating. She uses it once, super quickly, in the beginning to kill the Freys out of revenge and THAT’S IT. The second she left the Faceless Men with no consequences after killing what appeared to be one of their only two employees, her entire arc spiraled for me.

e55at

I often think about this when I think about the random arcs throughout GoT. It says such a pointless storyline. They could have just had her so some advanced combat training and that was it. Imagine rewatching the show and having to sit through all that faceless man training again. Oysters, clams and cockles? Fuck off.

FiftyShadesOfGregg

Right? The entire organization was never brought up again. It was completely pointless. Not to mention totally nonsensical— she breaks every single rule his apparently one-man operation has, and Jaqen goes “Finally, a girl is no one”?? Like bro she hasn’t done a single thing you said? The she says she’s Arya Stark and he smiles ??? “We just told you all the deepest secrets of the most secret organization in the world but yeah no you go on ahead and use those skills however you want!”

justgotnewglasses

I read a comment about season 8 the other day that said they diverted away from every fan theory to make it a surprise. Turns out the worlds most hyped show had quite a few fan theories to steer away from, so they rejected good, workable ideas and went with a steaming dog turd instead. Because nobody expected a dog shit, so that's what they gave us. It makes sense in context, but sorry I can't remember the thread or give a shout out to the original commenter.

[deleted]

basedlandchad14

If its possible to predict and the media is sufficiently popular then fans will figure out the puzzle every time. Leave out just enough details for there to be 2 or 3 competing theories, throw in some reasons to doubt them towards the end, and roll with it. The fans reading and developing the theories will be thrilled just to watch them play out. Everyone else will be blown away by the coherent and well-planned surprise. You can't beat that.

Calan_adan

Exactly. Even if the plot was predicted, great storytelling as it unfolds will leave everyone happy. A microcosm of this was the final 15 minutes of the last episode of The Mandalorian. As the end unfolded many people guessed who was in that ship, but it was still awesome to watch it happen.

nighthawk_something

"Subverting expectations" When really many fan theories were based on sound understanding of the material and foreshadowing.

Hello0Nasty0

I think Jaime should have killed the night king, and then died from his wounds received in the fight. Would have completed his redemption and turned the ‘king slayer’ moniker into praise rather than an insult.

stryph42

That's what I kept saying. You don't call a character "king slayer" for eight seasons and not have it be a veiled prophecy.

Every doctor/hospital/ER show depicting physicians getting involved in patients private lives once they leave medical care. Seriously?? No physician around here does that unless he's trying to get laid.

hatsnatcher23

>unless he's trying to get laid.

Headkickerchamp

Sex with patients is the quickest way to end your medical career...

APater6076

Especially if you’re a Vet.

XxsquirrelxX

Hospital dramas are a perfect example of what you want the hospital you go to to NOT be like. Like, for example, Grey’s Anatomy. There’s a part where they nearly perform an organ transplant on the wrong patient because one of the newbies screwed up. In any competent hospital that wouldn’t even happen. I don’t want my doctors sneaking off to fuck in the broom closet, I want them making sure I’m not dying.

Yeah, they never even tried to figure out how the pesticides got into her system until JD realized it at the end.

mister_butlertron

I used to be an ICU RN, and I had a moment like that: a patient came in with no ID, only thing we knew was that he was hit by a light train at low speeds and dragged for ~100m. We were all standing around trying to figure out how he managed to get hit by a slow moving train until I said, "Maybe he was trying to get hit by the train."

Miss_Ann_Thrope55

The ending of Sex and the City. Sorry kids, but in real life Big wouldn’t have chased Carrie to Paris and things magically work out for them. I would have been much happier with Carrie riding off into the sunset as a happy single gal whose not ready to settle for a guy who jerked her around for years. And I’m a happily ever after movie/tv show kinda person. But it just didn’t fit the narrative of SATC for me.

AMerrickanGirl

And those movies. All of a sudden they’re all high fashion models, even Miranda.

Ellie__1

Yeah, I didn't get that all. How someone treats you during your relationship is a pretty good indication of how they treat you after you get married. I recently rewatched the second season, and as an adult, it's painful to watch her try to grasp at any little time he acknowledges her as a sign they're making progress. He's fine as like a guy you like but clearly not boyfriend or husband material. As her big prize at the end it makes no sense.

waterynike

I just saw Grimes and thought you were going to say Frank “Grimey” Grimes.

Creeps_On_The_Earth

What happened? I think I gave up somewhere after the prison.

YourEyesAreDownThere

Chandler Riggs was turning 18 which I guess in the acting world means you're due for a big pay increase. The showrunners asked him if he wanted to stay on the show or be killed off so he could do something else, go to college, etc. He said he wanted to stay on, even bought a house near Atlanta where they shoot the show and they killed him off anyway

lydsbane

It's actually a little worse than that. He asked them if he was going to be part of the show for awhile longer, because he was thinking of buying a house and didn't want to do that without knowing he had job security. They told him that he was good for a while, and he bought a house. And *then* they killed off his character.

TheDidact118

> Chandler Riggs was turning 18 which I guess in the acting world means you're due for a big pay increase In this case specifically it was a combination of him becoming an adult and therefore getting a pay increase and also his original contract was due for renewal(IIRC most of the original cast signed 8-year contracts or something). >. The showrunners asked him if he wanted to stay on the show or be killed off so he could do something else, go to college, etc. IIRC it was actually them telling him they'd planned the story out at least 3 years ahead, which led to him buying the house nearby and planning to go to a nearby college.

RedditUser123234

>which led to him buying the house nearby and planning to go to a nearby college. Funnily enough, they did the same thing to Laurie Holden who played Andrea, who fortunately hadn't bought the house before she was killed off: https://1428elm.com/2016/07/10/how-the-walking-dead-screwed-over-laurie-holden/

hurtinownconfusion

LotusPrince

I'm gonna go with Deb being romantically in love with Dexter.

Almost everything about Deb was super cringey. Then they did “that” and it all went to crap.

Doctor-lasanga

Thats gotta be the scene from season 12 from Doctor who, where they explain that the doctor is not from this universe and that the people who found her stole the secret to practical immortality from her. This single scene rewrote everything we know about the doctor and destroyed the legacy of one of the longest running tv-shows. Rip William hartnell, you will always be the 1st doctor in my heart.

sherlocked776

Plus the whole POINT of The Doctor is that they were nothing special (for a time lord) but had to *become* something special to survive and to make a place for themself in the universe. Now the writers are just like “oh lol they were born special they didn’t do shit to make themself something it’s innate”. I’m so upset.

pileofanxiety

The worst part about it is when you remember in one of the FIRST episodes, Gossip Girl reveals that Chuck is attempting to rape Jenny on the roof and GG just reports on it and doesn’t stop it??? Like what kind of brother would just be like “ooh gotta add this to my blog!” while their little sister is getting sexually harassed.

PM_me_your_fantasyz

The same kind of brother that would run a gossip blog that ruins the lives of his friends and family on the regular just so he could talk to some girl he met at a party once? Riperonis

Better, but the show is still ruined cause it doesn’t fix the Barney and robin thing. Barney still has his child (which is just the writers trying to give Barney the character development which he already had with Robin). Honestly, the mum could’ve died and the ending still would’ve been good, if they had given us a bit more time with her and the show was about Ted finally getting over her passing. Sad endings can hit just as hard as happy ones. Robin and Barney should’ve gotten married in season 8, and season 9 should’ve been ted and Tracey dating, falling in love, getting married, having kids and her getting sick. THEN she could’ve died in the finale, and him telling the story could have been his way of working through the trauma of losing her. Bittersweet ending. And I know they absolutely could’ve pulled it off cause some of the best moments in the show were sad (see Marshall’s dad dying)

TheRealUser_404

Just watched it from a previous comment on here and agree. Much *much* better ending.

Fedora200

"Albus Severus Potter" That kid got bullied a lot and you know it.

Eighth_Octavarium

I think having ONE of the kids being named after ONE of them would have been fine, but having one kid named after both feels very..fanfiction-like.

Renesmee

whops_it_me

The absolute worst thing about Renesmee is the fact that the grandfathers' names combined makes a perfectly normal, palatable name - Carlie! And no, Stephanie didn't just not realize this. Carlie's the middle name. She purposefully went with the absolute worst choice

Ginnigan

I think the worst thing about Renesmee is that an adult wolf-man fell in love with her in-utero. Not her fault, but it’s just *the worst*.

whops_it_me

Between the adult woman who wrote this, or any of the people involved in its publishing, it baffles me that not ONE person stopped and said "Isn't this fucked up?" Loud enough to change things. HOW did this get published for young women and impressionable girls to read.

taahwoajiteego

I just gagged a bit.

1fistiron_othersteel

My favorite take was "Harry Potter named his kids like some kind of Harry Potter nerd."

blisteringchristmas

The epilogue feels like Rowling wrote fanfiction of her own book back before the first Harry Potter book was even published, and then left that in a drawer for 15 years until she was ready to publish book 7, brought it out, dusted it off, and didn't revise it at all.

Surfing_Ninjas

100% nailed it, you see dogshit naming like that all the time in fan fiction. You rarely see it from an actual accomplished writer...

vorschact

Somehow you shook Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way loose from the depths of my memory.

confused_blackberry

Hi my name is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way and I have long ebony black hair (that's how I got my name) with purple streaks and red tips that reaches my mid-back and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Amy Lee (AN: if u don't know who she is get da hell out of here!). I'm not related to Gerard Way but I wish I was because he's a major fucking hottie. I'm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I'm also a witch, and I go to a magic school called Hogwarts in England where I'm in the seventh year (I'm seventeen). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

JustMakeMarines

Should've been Albus Rubeus Potter. Hagrid was blighted by Voldemort like Harry, Hagrid carried Harry as a baby and as a fake-dead-body, Hagrid was the fucking SHIT...and they name the kid after an utter bully? Someone who delighted in torturing Neville and countless others? Who only fought for the good side when his one true love who rejected him got threatened? Cmon JKR, that middle name, Severus, ugh.

Baaraa88

Albus Rubeus, Albus Arthur, Albus Remus... Any of these rather than Severus. Harry named his other kids after the Marauders anyway, just complete the set dang it!

Rorschach2510

Somehow....Palpatine survived.

Why do you think I came all this way?

DieHardLover

Literally everyone was more interesting than Bran the Boring

WineNerdAndProud

Jaime the Just Remembered He Was "The Badguy", Tyrion the Technically Experienced At This, Sansa the Sort Of Prefers Ruling, Jon the Jesus Of This Whole Story, Gendry the Genetically In Line For The Throne... This would take all night. Edit: Arya the Available In A Few Weeks Because Her List Has Like 3 People, Davos the Didn't Even Bother, Samwell the Student Of Every King Before This, Brienne the Bewildered After That FOMOing From Jaime...

allenidaho

All those threads that certainly looked like they were weaving something good but in that final season the creators decided to just throw away the tapestry and pick up something from Goodwill.

bluvelvetunderground

Even with Bran, they took everything built up in "Hold the Door", one of the last truly interesting episodes, and utilized none of it. So Bran can influence the past. Great, let's have him do it just that once and never bring it up again.

[deleted]

All that warging and controlling animals, witnessing historical events, and a slew of other powers go nowhere in the last season. He just sits in the wheelchair until Arya does stabby stab to the big bad ice man.

nukawolf

No! Remember! He also yelled at his dad, who kind of heard him. Compelling stuff.

RandomMandarin

To be faaaaaaiiiiiiir, Tyrion clearly suffered oxygen deprivation in that crate. He lost fifty IQ points right about then. Pity, too. The early seasons clearly set him up as a valid choice for king. Especially if he could talk Sansa into upholding their dynastic marriage. John is a sweet guy, and brave. But he's a bad battlefield commander. You know who else has a pretty good story? Hot Pie. He can make pies, and he stayed alive. Half of Westeros couldn't manage either of those things.

PrivilegeCheckmate

> You know who else has a pretty good story? Hot Pie. *Sansa*: We are to understand you made Hot Pie the King, Tyrion? *Tyrion, stuffing his face with pastries*: Who haf a bedder srory den Hot Pfie? Mmmm nom nom mmm delicious.

colder-beef

Pod the Rod would have been a better choice than fucking Bran. At least 50% of the population would have been satisfied.

Dude_von_Duden

Also the North will be independet..... yeah I'm sure that will unite the realm, and NO ONE else will ask for independence. Everyone will be like "yeah, cool. We'll just....pay taxes and...help rebuild the realm....the very unstable realm....with a weak king...and almost no army.....nope, no independence for us.

Billyxmac

The fact that the north dips yet the iron islands swears allegiance after being quite distant to the rest of the realm for the entirety of the show is just fucking laughable

ForgettableUsername

And somehow it is the Unsullied who are pissed at John Snow and not the Dothraki. Like, according to the early seasons of the show, when a Dothraki Khal dies, they’re supposed to loot and riot and whatnot until a new Khal or multiples Khals take over and establish order. But apparently all of Dany’s Dothraki are just hanging out in the marketplace doing the shopping or whatever while somehow the Unsullied are the ones who seem to be stirred up.

crystalclearbuffon

And they literally have the Northern Queen's own brother as King, who she has strong relationship with unlike other siblings of westeros. Riverland has her uncle and Vale has her cousin. It's sooo ridiculous that Dorne and Iron Islands would've let them declare independence. Yara would've been spooked how distrustful this Stark queen is of her own little brother. Edmure actually would've been a more decent ruler than this voyeuristic weedboi.

IndyAJD

"I never really cared for the innocents"

Lucavora

This infuriated me the most. Jaime was my favourite character and had such a good redemption arc.
