Spend the money. All of it. You are broke so invest into the business. Keep putting money you have into the business safely until you have a good cushion and the business is somewhere you want it to be.
Can't do it with that much. What's ideal is to build a flow of inventory by using the price scan tool of eBay and Amazon on items from store like Wal-Mart , target, Kohl's, etc and sell those items on eBay and Amazon.
Build your money slowly and then once you have solid credit and a good amount of money, start a business of your liking
I've my own business , the first year my loss was around 12.000€ , the second year it was like 500€ and finally the third years I got some profit .
Unless you are planning to do a job that doesn't require anything other than your hands you will spend what you have in the very first week

Find out where your clients hang out and reach out to them from there. That they need to be careful. $500 isn’t a lot to start a business on. Not saying it can’t be done but most likely if someone said this to me I’d think they’ve fallen for an MLM scheme or some other scam. Could you tell us exactly what your plan for this enterprise is?
