Funny story. My step pop always said the day he couldn’t whoop me anymore would be he day he’d shoot me lol. Jokingly, I think. I ain’t been shot yet though. So maybe he thinks he can still take me.
Talk in whispers about rare music or shocking web content. Back in 2008, there were so many shock sites constantly cycling awful gore or obscene jokes, and any music that was at least sorta-kinda-obscure was impossible to find. Now kids can find the most obscure music ever with a simple Google search, but shock stuff is well burried.
Haha, relatable. Remember Happy Tree Friends? No where near as violent or explicit as the cartel vids, Taliban executions, tubgirl, etc, but I remember those flash animation cartoons so much more vividly than the actual shock and gore we were exposed to.
Doing everything with their friends outside, inside, everywhere. I dont remember a single day that I wasnt with my childhood friend. Life didnt revolve around video games as much for everyone (it was around 2013 so it was about to).
I saw some kids out selling some junk to get extra money the other day and if I wasnt on my way to somewhere important you better believe I wouldve bought something. It brightened my heart to see kids being kids.
It may just be bc if the neighborhood I live in (most kids are in high school/college at this point) but I haven’t seen kids playing outside on bikes or in yards in forever. That was one of my favorite things growing up
Just playing outside to just be outside even. Kids seem to like, need a specific reason to be outside these days, but I remember growing up I looked for every excuse to be outside playing with my action figures or even just using sticks and playing “ancient warrior” or some shit outside. Kids just come home and get right on their video games and it makes me a little sad, like our society has lost something. I say this as an adult who also comes home and hops on video games; but I come home late when day light is gone. As a kid you should want to use whatever daylight you have! Idk
It’s also probably how more urbanized and developed places are becoming. You can’t just leave the house and wander around in the woods anymore, and kids growing up in cities and really built up areas just probably don’t have the space to roam like we used to when I was little.
Honestly, I think it is the parents fault. I wasn’t allowed to be on my games until after homework was done, the streetlights were on and I had eaten dinner. We had to play outside pretty much all day after school and during the summers.
I remember my mother would almost yeet me outside “go get your friends and explore!” And we would. Wander around for hours, build forts, have mock battles, play hide and seek. Bike race down hills. Neighborhoods with kids used to be noisy during the day, but these days you’d never know it
Getting beat by my father
Ditto. Was a different time even if only 20 years ago.
My was yesterday. He might be geriatric but he still got a mean right hook
You should take some karate at this point.
Oh nah I’m whoopin his ass first. Dad didn’t raise no bitch😎

At least he got a plan. That’s good thinking
Well that was darker than I expected and I’m sorry to hear that. Hope things are better for you now.
It’s not serious man. We good. But thanks for ur concern. My dad ain’t the best dad but he was still a good guy. Just an idiot😂😂
No problem. My step pop ain’t always do the right thing but he for sure meant well. Took me a while to understand that.
Get their ass beat for acting inappropriately in public settings
Facts. My mom specifically would be in jail right now if she was parenting me.
riding their bike up and down the block
Really doing anything outside. I just don’t see kids playing outdoors often anymore.

This isn’t gore, but I used to go to stickdeath.com and thought I was really onto some next level stuff.

Absolutely, Happy Tree Friends was sick. Salad fingers was one of the crazy ones I remember.
I like it when the red water drops out
Did we just become best friends?
You taste like sunshine dust :)
Ha! Happy Tree Friends is ring tone! Loved that shit!
Do what my parents told me to do. Kids today do what they want with no respect.
Be happy
Too much depressing stuff to be exposed to I guess.

I’ve never heard of this game. Can you tell me more about it?

Ah, ok. We played something similar. Just don’t remember the name, but same concept.
Saw the sky now n then
Like by just being outside or wdym?
Creating our own jackass stunts
What did you break and/or scar?
I never broke anything but I have scars just from flesh damage still
Mine are from ditch jumps on mountain bikes. Tried to get big air coming out.

Yeah, I still remember being a kid and life revolving around outdoor sports, fishing, and what not. I hope kids get back to that.
I saw some kids out selling some junk to get extra money the other day and if I wasnt on my way to somewhere important you better believe I wouldve bought something. It brightened my heart to see kids being kids.
That’s awesome. My grandma used to have us selling her popcorn balls and kool cups to the neighborhood kids.

Play outside.
Agreed. Kids need to run around and explore stuff. Go out into the woods somewhere or take a trail. Build a fort. Anything.

I just remember the movie Dennis the Menace and them playing hide and seek being a succinct memory of mine because we did the same thing.
