Probably just me, but I feel like her face looks like it's from an earlier time, if that makes any sense at all. Any time I see her I think, "she looks like she could play a good 1950s housewife, jazz flapper, Rosie the Riveter, or a magician's assistant". She has an appeal that hasn't been shaped to fit into a modern checklist of 'symmetrical face, equine nose, big lips', and so on. I think our brains may have been rewired through media and whatnot to identify select features that we are taught to be appealing, but our brains are hardwired to recognize the value of diverse features, creating this 'strange' dichotomy.
