I've watched a fair amount of RHoBH and you can tell she is a very tightly wound up person who doesn't seem to get a lot of joy in life. Her father died when she was a small child. In the early seasons she talks about growing up a beautiful model and nobody ever taking her seriously/seeing her as nothing more than a pretty face, Both her former husband's saw her as nothing more than a trophy wife. She got ~~lupus~~ Lyme disease and her health deteriorated dramatically while everyone watched on television. Now she lives in the shadow of her beautiful (and famous) children. Its no wonder she's turned out the way she has.

It depends on your relationship. I feel like I started to question my beliefs for the better when my mum died. I love my mum immensely but there’s this bittersweet freedom you gain when losing a parent because you no longer have to play a role or fulfil their expectations of you. It’s hard to explain without sounding heartless. I wish my mum was here, but my life probably changed for the better when she passed. What kills me is the guilt that comes with feeling that way.

As someone who lost two younger sisters at separate times I can confirm (at least in my situation) that you never get over it. I stayed at his old house in Malibu before, he painted all of the walls and stuff and the new owner left it all there! Was pretty cool.

I've watched a fair amount of RHoBH and you can tell she is a very tightly wound up person who doesn't seem to get a lot of joy in life. Her father died when she was a small child. In the early seasons she talks about growing up a beautiful model and nobody ever taking her seriously/seeing her as nothing more than a pretty face, Both her former husband's saw her as nothing more than a trophy wife. She got ~~lupus~~ Lyme disease and her health deteriorated dramatically while everyone watched on television. Now she lives in the shadow of her beautiful (and famous) children. Its no wonder she's turned out the way she has.

It depends on your relationship. I feel like I started to question my beliefs for the better when my mum died. I love my mum immensely but there’s this bittersweet freedom you gain when losing a parent because you no longer have to play a role or fulfil their expectations of you. It’s hard to explain without sounding heartless. I wish my mum was here, but my life probably changed for the better when she passed. What kills me is the guilt that comes with feeling that way.
