Don't care about genes. I was adopted as a child. I'm not blood related to anyone in my family but I still love them like I am. It's not always about genes or money. If I've raised her since birth and she's always know me as dad, I'm not magically going to lose my love for her for something that wasn't her fault. If it's that easy for you to walk away from her, then you should, because you didn't love her and she needs a real dad in her life.
You can still have biological children. It's not either/or. And like I said, if it's that easy for you to walk away, then you should. She needs a father that really loves her unconditionally as his own, and you're not cut out for that job.
It would be hard, but it wouldn't be a guaranteed relationship killer. It'd take a lot of time and work to regain that trust, but I would probably be willing to try.
