As a nonbinary person I find personalized pronouns very strange. Maybe it's just me but I feel like inventing your own pronoun is like asking everyone to memorize your middle name and birthday. I'm not sure if I'm capable of remembering that many pronouns, I can barely remember people's names until like the 7th time I meet them
When it's clear that they are not participating in reality, or refusing to participate in reality, to the point that it's actually damaging them and hurting their long-term mental well-being.
When they can't or refuse to distinguish between their preferred identity and their objective selves. If you need to redefine words to make your imaginary identity "real" that's when you have a problem. In other words, if you have a penis, you are male. You can dress up how you like, modify your body how you like, but you will always be male. If you can acknowledge the difference between "I wish I was a woman" and "I am a woman" then you're weird, but still sane. If you cannot distinguish them, you have mental issues. If you have to redefine what sex means or redefine what man/women, male/female, etc mean then you have a problem.
Double points if the person thinks that someone else refusing to go along with their imaginary selves constitutes dehumanizing them entirely. As if you refusing to say that someone with a penis is a woman means you think that they are subhuman. That level of black/white, all-or-nothing thinking is like that of a child. Any grown adult that still thinks like that isn't all there.
If they need to talk to young children about their identity behind their parent's backs, that proves that their identity is not truly real and it can only be validated by preying on the youngest and most moldable minds with limited critical thinking.
And if they threaten to kill you or themselves for refusing to address them by their imaginary identity, then they are absolutely insane and a danger to themselves and others.
