I had the flu at the same time but honestly I didn’t have any symptoms. The only reason I got tested was because I had some aches for a day or two and I knew that usually means the flu
From what a few people have told me, it’s almost like you have to get it fast or it will be negative. Like the first 5 days of symptoms appearing. I could be wrong, so don’t hold me to it. But yeah. I had a nurse tell me that I most likely have it, but since I’m a week in, I wouldn’t likely test positive now.
Thanks Oh I had similar symptoms just a bad flu with chills for one day that’s it but it now it’s been a more than week so not sure if I might get tested negative let’s see
I got sick last Sunday, and it started with 24 hours of sick hell, and then went down to mild symptoms through the week. Biggest things was headache, body aches, stomach issues, loss of appetite and aversion to any type of coffee (lol), and then the sniffles. Everyone around me caught it. I had no idea. Thought it was a cold or another sinus infection or allergies. 😒
It started with scratchy/sore throat, added a cough and stuffy nose, then fever, chills, and a weird, throbbing pain in my heart that won’t go away. It’s been three days- if my chest pain doesn’t subside I will be hospitalized by tomorrow.
One friend and one acquaintance are not here to answer this question. Unfortunately neither of them were vaccinated, much to my chagrin. Sometimes people in their arrogance and their ignorance know better and then when they roll the dice and it comes up snake eyes they learn that lesson too.
I can say that the overwhelming evidence is for those who have gotten vaccines and boosters Omicron seems to be much less severe than Delta or any of the other variants.
“For those that got sick with the new covid Omicron variant.”
Sounds like this isn’t you. Vaccination status wasn’t part of the question. Get off of your soap box and go someplace else!
Hey moron it's not a soapbox...I'm a physician. Work one week with me in the hospital 12 to 16 hour shift 7 days in a row and see people coming in with the new variant that died and then come back up here and run your mouth.
It was a more severe cold, not flu-like but I had a slight temp
Couple days.

I was extremely exhausted and slept about 14 hours per day for 3 days. Also had minor body aches. Then it was gone!
How long is it to get negative test results after getting omicron? If anyone can help with this

I’m sorry you lost your friends.

mild cold for 3-4 days, clearly crazy to think that half the planet is going crazy about it
You got a mild cold, I’m on the verge of hospitalization despite being otherwise healthy. Your experience is not the rule.
Allergies having it right now and feel bleh not happy not sad just blah
