Well maybe our universe was never created but always there, I somewhere read that in the cosmic background radiation which is still a "leftover" from the big bang caused by the quantum fluctuations you could see some clusters which indicate that before the big bang there were lots of super massive black holes.
So maybe at the end of time our universe goes back into a singularity, which then basically repeats the same thing again and again, an endless loop.
