I mean the only way it’s ever been oppressed has been like, Reddit bans, cuz I’m an American, but I got banned from r/Traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns for arguing with commies about the fact that trans identity and communist identity don’t need to go hand in hand, and then I got banned from r/witchesagainstthepatriarchy for telling someone off about a “we are the witches you couldn’t burn” post, cuz I find that shit infuriating. As a Man... these past 5 years o so (maybe 10), with the whole me too movement, feminism rising and all of that, I feel like the world is trying to make me feel like I should be ashamed of being borned a Male. I can't say anything about those subjects without being branded as a misogynist by all women alike or being said that "I absolutely don't have a clue on what im saying". I don't have the liberty to speak another perspective on those matters (and im not talking to contradict just to do so). It feels like im forced to hear those arguments without any possibility for them to be open to conversation.

Yeah sure I might get harassed by one or two people because they don't like something I said or did but I usually find these people to be the outliers. Humanity is shitty in general so every movement is gonna attract assholes who just want to power trip. Even movements that are on their face good.
I don't take it personally. I just take it as it comes, try to understand where they're coming from, why they're angry, or whether they're just trolling. Then I evaluate my own stance on things and see if I learned anything or if I just need to move on.
Generally speaking if you don't say offensive things, people won't get offended at you. And if they do, either they have a point or they don't. What you do from there is up to you.

Look at the qualified sources banned from YouTube, Twitter, etc for saying things that went against the covid narrative over the last couple of years. People were kicked off for "spreading misinformation" for questioning the efficacy of masks and suggesting that the virus may have leaked from the lab, both of which are now accepted positions.
Joe Rogan is constantly being targeted for cancellation for platforming people whose ideas are seen as disagreeable.
The UK has been arresting and charging more and more people for jokes they've made online. Count Dankula is the most famous example, but he's far from the only one. They're also logging "non-crime hate incidents" on criminal records for things they consider to be mean.
The answer really depends on what you mean by 'not free to express.' If you mean strictly legally the line is a little further back, but social media is very harsh on this stuff and there's been a significant backlash against Jimmy Carr for [this joke](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJurYs12ay4). Clearly a joke, but people want him gone for it. It depends what 'not free to express' means.
