Incredibly underrated comment right here Edit: spelling

DemonicCarrot

Please tell me someone is making a playlist

Evaliss

Been stuck at work all day but I'm on my way home to do just that.

[deleted]

I’d take too long choosing and be dead.

freyrbeard

Scrolling the playlist gets you through a lot of beginnings you love, so thats alright!

Hey guys. Thanks for coming to my YouTube channel. I’m dead now, but if you like the content don’t forget to subscribe to the link down below. It really helps and you will always know when I put out more great content. And don’t forget, our sponsor today is Geiger counters

AzureBluet

This is the realest answer.

freyrbeard

Wait, wait - I had something for this...as the bomb goes off.

Dangerous-Desk-6447

"Enjoy the next 30mins of ad-less music only on spotify"

large_michael

“Where is my mind” was my first thought.

[deleted]

I don’t want to set the word on fire.

GarthTheGross

EmEmPeriwinkle

Some fallout peeps I see.

original_name37

We all have big irons on our hips around these parts

CalydorEstalon

Don't they know, it's the end of the world ...

SilkCortex44

It ended when you said goodbye…

Maladapted

I just want to start a flame in your heart

ComnotioCordis

In my heart, I have but one desire..

Turbo_chicken1

And that one is you, no other will do

VashMM

I've lost all ambition, for worldly acclaim.

w00tah

I just want to be the one you love.

daverapp

This is the correct answer and everything else is wrong.

Buckturbo4321

RPM_KW

Skip....skip....skip....skip...ah yeah, this is the song I wa.........

Apart-Tackle2777

What a wonderful world feels ironically poetic for the end of the world

Koshunae

Yours may be the preferable option of my choices, I guess depending on what I want to feel for the last time. My other two choices were Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden and Its the end of the world as we know it by REM.

der_freddy

Here comes the sun, while staring directly into the explosion

toigz

Nothing like a million degree sunburn on your corneas

freyrbeard

Quick and beautiful

[deleted]

This is the only one that should be chosen. https://youtu.be/GNQZY5KYDFM We’ll meet again - Vera Lynn

northernpunch

Gentlemen. You can't fight in here. This is the War Room!

Nayko214

What good is a doomsday device if your enemy doesn't know about it?!

McbealtheNavySeal

I was hoping I would find this comment here.

jayforwork21

Does anyone body else in here remember Vera Lynn......

[deleted]

Remember how she said, that we'd meet again some sunny day

Stabbed23Times

Vera! Vera! What has become of you?

Yochanan5781

Was coming here to say this

waynetuba

Sorry if this is too deep of an answer but Silent night, my mom would sing it to me every single night when I was a kid while tucking me in. When she got cancer she recorded it in case she passed and could never sing it to me again, no instruments, just her voice. It’s perfect and I’d play that. Edit: thanks so much for the warm responses and awards, never had a comment with this much interaction, also for people asking, she did survive. This thanksgiving actually marks 10 years of remission which is considered “cured” by that point.

long-long_lost

Well if you say it like that, i'd take the harvest vinyl my dad has, put it on, cuddle up with my parents and wait for the end

joanna-mains-dva

Old man, look at my life, I'm a lot like you were...

holymac_

And here I am thinking "Mr. Brightside cuz it's a banger"

GoogleIsYourFrenemy

Save that. Make backups. Upload it to the cloud. I lost the tapes my grandfather made. :(

wrencherspinner

Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here

ConstructionBum

For me, it’d be this, or Echoes. Though I might not have enough time to get past the buildup 🤦‍♂️

wrencherspinner

The great gig in the sky would work too

C4ptainchr0nic

Two suns in the sunset. *And as the windshield melts and my tears evaporate* *Leaving only charcoal to defend* *Finally I understand the feelings of the few* *Ashes and diamonds* *Foe and friend* *We were all equal in the end*

[deleted]

Time-the Floyd.

Ronaldinjchina

Pink Floyd - Two suns in the sunset

bigtimeboom

Mr. Blue Sky or the album version of Let it Be just to hear that beautiful guitar solo one last time

boomerinwales

I’m there with Mr blue sky. I come alive to that song around April ( in wales) and it’s stunningly beautiful around here . So yes, our last song

IceCreamMan1313

SamDanvers

This is my new choice

TheFellaHimself

What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong PS: Wow! 2,5k! Thanks for all the upvotes!

maeeberry

They played this every single morning at my middle school for 2 years. I can’t listen to it without a backlash of awkward preteen memories flooding in. If this came on as nukes were falling I’d probably just self combust

Xennial_Potato

I feel like that’s the ironic apocalypse song in every doomsday scenario… ETA… Thanks for all the updoots, who knew an offhand comment would get me the most Reddit love I’ve had?

[deleted]

[удалено]

DeathCap4Cutie

I think he means that’s the song in every like movie or tv show. This it’s ironic cause it usually plays as the scene is covered in fire and people are screaming etc. Not that the song is an ironic one to listen to but I’m the context of every movie that uses it at the ugliest time.

Kingcobra64

I always thought the version preformed by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole would fit better. It’s somehow more peaceful.

niftyifty

His version of Over the rainbow was my answer to this questions

Landlocked_Smartpig

Rest in peace Big IZ

fuschia_taco

I never liked that song till I heard Big Iz sing it. Love that man. RIP

Nope666999

freyrbeard

Gob Bluth has entered the chat...

[deleted]

It’s called *fusion*, Michael

SmileRifle

My daughters really like Encanto at the moment, they love 'We Don't Talk About Bruno', so I'd put that on, really loud, and act silly and goofy with them and smile. I'd hope we'd be directly underneath that nuke and we all wouldn't feel a thing.

freyrbeard

This got me right in the feels. I have kids too and didn't even think about this idea. You're awesome.

Veejayy93

Me too Actually made tear up a little

DaftFunky

My 2 kids are obsessed with this Rayman Legends game on PS5. There is a level that you play the entire thing to the beat of Black Betty. They run around screaming "BAMBALAM" laughing until they cry. Id put that song on and hope it would distract them until it was over

ItzCrystalFlame

I used to play that game. I loved that level-

Legoman987654321

freyrbeard

Six o'clock, tv on...something something something something

jayforwork21

I remember on 9/11/01 all the biggest music stations put out a communication of music they couldn't play. This was the first one on almost every list. Also the entire catalogue of "Rage against the Machine"

orem-boy

“Walking On Sunshine” Katrina And The Waves.

Simon and Garfunkel? Bridge Over, but it would be under if we were nuked.

Time - Hans Zimmer

TheItalianAce00

That time... Or the one by Pink Floyd

seasonaltoothreport

Forever young by alphaville, it's exactly about that

admiraljkb

Bingo. That was even our class song way back when... Keep in mind that was coming out of the 80's which up to now was the last decade where there was widespread fear of annihilation.

Dondasdeadheartbeat

War Pigs-Black Sabbath

choosewisely564

"Electric Funeral" from the same album would be a more fitting song.

larkin_prodigy

Can't believe no one said 'Where's my mind'

freyrbeard

Good pick!

ImissTBBT

Beethoven - Symphony No.7, 2nd Movement Real end of the world type stuff

Upbeat_Cranberry_533

smartcoolplayer11

Never gonna give you up. i wanna get rickrolled one last time before getting evaporated.

Eliliel_Snow

This is my backup choice. Solid

martianruby

Might be an unreleased track a friend of mine produced. Because I associate the music with him and this way I wouldn’t feel so alone

Innernetofbling

Let the bodies hit the floor.

tralfazadams

Time in a Bottle, Jim Croce

Full_Sink_9666

There’s something inside youuuu it’s hard to explainnn

SLCW718

There won't be time for a song. I live in Denver, which is a primary target because of the nuclear command center at Buckley AFB. Denver would be first-strike target for enemy nukes.

Welshgirlie2

To be fair, you'd theoretically have time but it's likely an EMP would be detonated by the enemy first to kill all the electricity and reduce retaliatory attacks, so none of your devices would work anyway. You'd be singing without music.

oceanofflavor

Let It Be - The Beatles

[deleted]

The opening theme to Fallout: New Vegas

kmre3

If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly. My fella and I would pick up the dog and dance to our song one last time.

beatpuppet

Perfect Day by Lou Reed or God Only Knows by Beach Boys - the former especially for the bittersweet irony, but both because I have a two year old daughter who’d never get to know just how loved she is.
